Not the best pick for a computer display

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you're looking at this display to use primarily as a television, ignore my review. --- I purchased the 2020 LG 43" UN7300 to use as a large format display for my computer. The 2019 UM7300 was recently recommended by a ratings website for this purpose (spring 2020). I own a couple of other 4K TVs from other manufacturers that I also use as computer displays, also recommended in previous years by the same ratings website. Unfortunately, I found this particular LG model to be a sub-par pick for use as a computer monitor. The LCD panel seems to almost curve backwards at the edges of the display, making text and images appear distorted. Text in general had color uniformity issues across the entire display. Also, I could not get 3840x2160 resolution to display across the entire panel. The native horizontal resolution of most displays is actually 4096 and this display handles 3840 by centering the image with vertical black areas on either side. This *IS* a TV though, not a purpose-built computer display. I'm sure it's fine at doing TV things. There are other TV brands that are also fine at being computer displays though.
