You get way better brightness and obviously not as good but comparable blacks. Plus with the TCL you save money and also get HDMI 2.1 for 120hz gaming. If you have the money, I would splurge and jest get the C1 instead. This is an extremely Dim TV

Defective Coaxial Port

When turning on the TV it starts showing strange finger paintings when it is set to go to home when turned on. It gives you input option for streaming but doesn't list any options other than a PPV called Sling. I intend to return this device and trade it in for the exact same model which should resolve the issue.

I was able to enjoy scenes for up to 60sec the way that they were intended to be viewed, and then it would just get dim, and stay too dim. This happened even in a room with barely any other light sources. I recommend staying far away from this TV, just pick up a QLED and you'll be much happier! We returned ours for exactly that.

Excellent OLED picture at a more reasonable price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This TV is excellent..purchased for my bedroom after first purchasing Hisense and TCL. After trying to go cheap and receiving defective panels on both Hisense and TCL models (finger size defect on the first hisense and black vertical jailbars on the first TCL), I gave up and just dropped the cash to go oled. Hisense/TCL looked good on test images, but fall apart when watching “TV”. For comparison I have a 65” inch CX oled and a few samsung LEDs. My take on the A1, @ BF price reduction: Pros: + Beautiful OLED picture….as good as my CX. Comments about A1 lower brightness are unfounded….looks great with the windows directly shining on it and it is a BRIGHT picture with great color and perfect blacks. I actually run it with the brightness sensor on to lower the brightness matching the room lighting…no need to fiddle with the picture settings at night like I had to with the “junk” Hisense and TCLs. +Motion. No studder, judder, or any artifacts on streaming or sports. Picture presets out of the box are excellent. Motion and fluidity is fantastic, OLED does not need 120Hz to have clear, blur free motion…even on gaming. The Hisense and TCLs (at any price point) are terrible on these points, and were never as sharp as the OLED….even at 4K. Bottom line: this is a bit more expensive than the brand name LED options, but you will be happy for years and without the limitations of LED (bad motion, too bright/washout, bad blacks). Once you watch OLED regularly its hard to watch the LED TVs. Unless you are obsessed with 120Hz gaming this is the OLED to buy!. Only CON I have: stand legs are not as nice vs the LG mid tier….wall mount!
