Customers are saying
Customers are delighted by the superb picture quality, rich colors, and ease of use of the 48" Class A2 Series OLED 4K UHD Smart webOS TV. Many appreciate the OLED technology and the TV's lightweight design, making it easy to wall-mount. However, some users find the refresh rate and remote control less than ideal, and a few have expressed concerns about the user interface and operating system. The price point is frequently praised as a significant advantage.

Oh yeah,...
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Perfect tv for vampires with sensitive eyes. No "white noise" light pollution comes from the screen. Wake up at 3 am and the screen is comfortable on the eyes. I had to settle for the A2 cause I'm only ghetto rich. Was not expecting much from the 60 hz refresh rate for sports,..but I am finding it easy to spot the basketball during a mad scramble. The A2 is much better than my old Lg 6300 at motion smoothness. Both are 60 hz refresh but the oled does it much much better. The sound is spectacular, no one told me about it. The brightness levels are good and have to be turned down. Even with screen fade this tv will last me 20,000 hours. My old LG 6300 ran 24/7 for 5 years and I can't change my ways. I will burn this tv up in 5 years or so but..so what, it will cost $100 bucks a year to go oled. Looking forward to checking out the free LG streaming channel, thanks for the freebie.

Great TV. Incredible picture when viewed off angle
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the 48" A2 knowing Best Buy has a 15 day return policy. I have an LG Nanocell85 which I wanted to compare this to. The Nanocell is 120 hz with an IPS panel (IPS is good for wide angle viewing). I use a fire TV cube to stream content and also use an antenna for local channels. I am not a gamer. I set up both TV's side by side in my family room and used an HDMI splitter to feed content to both TV's simultaneously. Here's my thoughts: 1) When viewed straight on, the A2 is brighter and has more realistic colors. I tried calibrating the Nanocell to get it to look the same, but I'm no calibration expert. Couldn't get it to look similar. 2) When viewed off angle, even by as little as 20 degrees, the A2 still looks great, whereas the Nanocell, even with an IPS panel, begins to wash out. Even at 45+ degrees, the A2 looks fantastic. 3) The sound is okay, but I already had a soundbar. 4) Watched some sports to see if there was motion blur. No problems. It was comparable to the 120 hz Nanocell. 5) My streaming service is generally 60 fps 720p content. No issues upscaling. The picture looks great. 6) Downside: The A2 only has a wide position for installing the feet. Why LG doesn't provide a narrow install option is a mystery. I bought a table top TV stand from AMZN for 21 bucks. 7) Side note: Lots of people talk about how OLED displays perfect black. But unless you watch the intro to a Star Wars movie over and over, how often does this come into play? Quite honestly, the Nanocell was almost as good as the A2 for the little bit of black screen content that I saw. Bottom line, I'm keeping the A2, mainly due to points 1 and 2 above.

LG OLED A2 review
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far (1 to 2 months in) it's been really good, the color is crisp and vibrant, the sound is great. The only problem I've had is the remote is a little janky with where it reads your cursor as being, nothing unmanageable though. Thankfully you can just use the d pad if you want.

Smaller size(48) OLED TV at a Budget price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced a five year old LG LED TV. I'm space limited and wanted to try OLED so this fit. The picture is sharper, has more realistic color and even the internal sound has improved. Not a gamer so saw no need for 120 hz refresh on newer B and C series LGs. Also, as the budget model, inputs are limited compared to the B and C series and no HDMI 2.1. Did not play nice with my older LG sound bar which only had optical or BT input. Added a S65Q bar which works very well. Not a fan of the magic remote. Even after adjusting cursor speed to slow its still jerky and difficult to control. Needs a way to turn off the pointer. I should mention that both units are prior year models and due to be replaced in the near future by LG. Prices for both were about half or less of original introduction prices.

Love it!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture is wonderful. Brightness for an OLED is great even in a bright room. Sound quality for a flat screen is great too. So many tvs are built to need a soundbar for good sound. OLED is definitely the best picture on the market.

A2 Oled
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great picture I mean it is an OLED. Got it for my grandmother so she can enjoy her TV better than before. Can't beat it for the black Friday price but regular price not worth it might as well upgrade to the c2 plus this has 60 hz but that's not a deal breaker for getting it for my grandma shouldn't wouldn't see the difference. Good colors and brighter than the A1 from last year.

My first OLED
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The difference between this and an HDR is staggering, the blacks on this tv look better than any of my others, the only thing I’m not a huge fan of is LGs operating system, but other than that it’s a great tv

Buy this for the hardware, not the software
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture quality is fantastic, and this was the best deal anywhere on an OLED TV during Black Friday. If you want a beautiful screen with decent sound, then this model will do the trick. However, the webOS software of this TV is absolutely dreadful. It won’t load license agreements, download or update apps over my home wifi. It will only do so off my phone’s hotspot, which is inconvenient to say the least, especially considering it won’t save your network passwords, so you have to re-enter them each time you switch. Apart from not working with my home wifi, the webOS is clunky and the remote has a gimmicky enter button that tries to act like a Wii remote, but it doesn’t work well, so it’s just annoying. I know it’s specifically a problem with this TV, because we have many other devices that work flawlessly on the same network, including TVs running Rokus or Android TV. If you want to save yourself a lot of frustration, you should treat this like it isn’t a smart TV at all and use a third-party streaming device to satisfy those needs. Otherwise, you will be disappointed. TV’s value for quality picture and sound: 5/5 TV’s built-in webOS software: 1/5

everyone should upgrade to OLED
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this tv. The picture is so crisp, it was a great value for the money spent, and the OLED colors are unmatched. The integrated speakers leave much to be desired as with all TV's these days. Still highly recommended

Exactly what I needed
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first time buying a TV and it's exactly what I need. I don't need anything too fancy but I wanted OLED and I've always liked LG in general, I trust that their stuff isn't going to break after a week etc. The picture is great and especially the sound. I don't need any extra sound bar or anything, the built in speakers are more than enough. The only things I don't like are cosmetic and they're not unbearable. I don't like how you can't stop the TV from showing abstract art when there's no input. I use it for gaming and TV

Much better with OLED
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've done the research and landed on upgrading to OLED. Mainly because it's better for your eyes, but image quality is a major improvment over our old 42-inch non-OLED despite the slightly larger screen size. Getting it out of the box was dicey as you have to be careful with the thin screen, but overall setup was easy. I made the purchase when it went on sale. The *only* thing that might be lacking for some is a 120hz refresh rate (this is 60), so better motion imaging could be desired. But overall, a great improvement and we're very happy with it.

Excellent bedroom TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv is great overall. A much better picture than a traditional LCD/LED tv. Colors are more vibrant and picture is brighter and darker blacks. I almost took a star off because the picture is a little softer than I like but I also purchased open box. And it’s a bedroom TV so it’s honestly excellent in this setting. The TV is responsive. The AI enhancements work really well also. Get a sound system for it. Like most TVs the internal speakers have little to be desired.
