Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the superb picture quality, rich colors, and ease of use of the 48" Class A2 Series OLED 4K UHD Smart webOS TV. Many appreciate the OLED technology and the TV's lightweight design, making it easy to wall-mount. However, some users find the refresh rate and remote control less than ideal, and a few have expressed concerns about the user interface and operating system. The price point is frequently praised as a significant advantage.

Good picture. Great price at $599 compared to comparable models from others. Quick delivery. Not really loving the LG user interface and remote though. My old samsung interface was much better but TV called it quits after 5 years.

Wow this is my first OLED tv and the picture is out of this world . I love it. Hung it on the wall of my bedroom . Even the sound quality was good. I did hang a JBL Atmos soundbar underneath. Perfect

In my usage I find it to be wonderful, the switch to hdr to sdr is seem less tho I have had YouTube crash a few times. The color was tweaked and I found it better for brightness to turn off the power saving mode, but not all people would think to do that. I’m quite satisfied with the purchase and honestly at a great price. I highly recommend this tv for any one with the know how and the not. I’m quite impressed over all and am generally ecstatic about using it!

So far so good. The picture is great, as expected on an LG OLED panel. 4 stars currently as it had a brief issue with what seemed to be color reversal right out of the box. The screen was awash with a rainbow of colors, almost like it was a thermal image. It hasn't happened since, and hopefully it was just a fluke. The processor responds quicker than I thought on a more economical model. So far, we're quite happy with it. As most pro tech reviewers say, this TV is really only a sensible purchase through a blackfriday type deal, which is when we purchased it. At it's full price, it's literally the same price as our 55" C1. Which is loaded with more features. Totally not worth the full price. But a bargain at around $500, so watch for sales!

Colors are very vibrant - I purchased the Sony - 48" Class BRAVIA A9S Series OLED 4K UHD Smart Android TV first, and I ended up returning it for this LG because of the $230 price difference, and we’re not a gaming family - so losing a few of the features on the Sony didn’t concern me. We’ve had two other LG tv’s in the past, and this one seems to outbeat both of them.

By far the best value on an OLED TV I've ever seen. Purchased for $625 after taxes!! I regret not purchasing more and re-selling at the full price of $1,299. The only issue is the 60 Hz refresh rate which can make certain fast-moving scenes a little jumpy. Other than that, it's the best TV I've ever owned. The picture is as clear and crisp and bright as it gets. And the sound! The sound is amazing! I have the TV mounted and there's an option to calibrate the TV for being on the wall, and that feature produces incredible sound for such tiny speakers. I literally don't need a soundbar with this TV. 5 STARS ALL THE WAY!!!

I went to Best Buy looking for a large screen, smart TV. With so many brands, specifications and capabilities. I knew it would be impossible for me to know what was best in my price range, so I brought friends along. Thankfully, the sales person, Aiden was super knowledgeable and patient, and I believe gave me the best recommendation in my price range (fabulous sale price) - an LG OLED 48”. It has a fabulous picture, color, sound, and clarity. Very happy! Thank you!

I have a 55 inch Hisense U8G TV from last year which I really like and consider an incredible TV. I bought the 48 inch oled LG A2 on sale from Best Buy and WOW! Im not sure how to explain it but when watching content the picture just looks real like the TV is actually a window showing me what's beyond. It did not require any set up to get that fantastic picture. My Hisense TV supports all of the current gaming specs and the LG oled does not but I still play games every day and really can't tell the difference. The oked panel has incredible black levels. I really love this TV.

Best purchase choice I have ever made for myself this tv has the best picture I have ever experienced and I smile everytime I turn it on. Yes it cost more then alot of tvs most of us will typically buy but the difference of oled is night and day. Only downside is looking at the picture on all the other tv you have around the house that are old haha. Absolutely would recommend to a friend.

I am thoroughly satisfied with this LG A2 TV purchase to replace my old Samsung LED TV. Coming from an LED technology to OLED it is truly world of difference in terms of its black levels and contrast. Moreover, the LG WebOS is far much more intuitive to use in general than most TV OS I've had. If you have doubts just because this is LG OLED entry level TV do not be afraid - this TV at its price and quality that it offers, truly unbeatbale.

Overall this is a great tv. The picture quality is amazing as is the sound quality. Setup is easy but lengthy as with all smart tvs. It has a lot of features including Dolby sound and Dolby Vision. It has plenty of connection features including lang, usb, hdmi , coaxial, wireless and network access. The remote is fairly easy to operate with app shortcuts such as Prime, Netflix, Disney, LG channels, and also Google and Alexa. The remote( Magic Remote) takes some getting use to especially the Quickly point option which is my least favorite feature. The center select button is more like a track ball. I pefer the more traditional style remote.

Best Value OLED - if you can get on sale

This OLED is amazing, while it lacks 120FPS capabilities, it includes everything else I needed. I didn't feel the 120FPS was essential to pay over double (of sale price) for a C2. Consoles are not yet at the point of producing native 4K-120 FPS. When they are, I can upgrade at that time. For now, I'll save the money and not pay for features I'm not able to use.

I’ve had this TV for many months now, and I love it. It’s got gorgeous picture quality and is very bright. The built in smart system is fast and relatively easy to use. I would recommend this TV to anyone wanting a good OLED TV. The only setback I could say I wish this TV had is 120hz refresh rate. It’s 4k 60hz only but the clear picture makes up for it in my opinion.

At 600$ I am not sure there is anything, picture wise, that is better. I've only had the 48" A2 for two days but after calibrating it (turn off TruMotion, it's ok for sports, but it gives movies and other shows that 'soap opera' look, it should be off by default imo) it's a very nice display. I also like that the settings give access to so many adjustments. I calibrated it with a Spyder and I am diggin' it. I've tested 4K video from multiple sources including .mkv file and all is well. The built in audio, as others have stated, is pretty good. I have it hooked to a simple 5.1 system and if anyone goes that route know the A2 passed all of the audio through just fine, DTS, Dolby, all flavors of both. The one thing I found curious, I cannot find this particular LG A2 48" OLED at any other retailer. Is it a discontinued model? I couldn't find an A3. Either way, if you are looking at a 50" LED that costs 350-400$, spend the extra and get this. Yeah, it's only 48", but that's not a biggie. I have read in some reviews that it's not the best for gaming, but if you need something to watch video, I doubt you'll be disappointed.

First and foremost I did get this during the black friday sale so the price was just over $530 for this tv. For that price I cannot complain at all as this was an upgrade from a Toshiba that was 65" bought in 2000 so huge leap in all around performance. Picture and audio are really well have not hooked up my ps5 yet but so far streaming and picture quality is to be expected from Oled. Would I purchase this at full price? Probably not id pop the extra cash for a samsung sb95 or a sony a95k yes I know the sony is a huge price jump but thats just my opinion

This has been a great purchase for our bedroom tv. Sure it doesn't have the advanced features for gaming like 120Hz or VRR, or rhe brightest picture. But, if you are looking to just have that OLED picture quality the A2 series should seriously be on your short list. And guess what, it still is a-ok for gaming, this coming from a guy who has the Alienware 34" Ultrawide OLED for his PC gaming.

This OLED TV has a super clear picture and has excellent contrast where black backgrounds are truly black and white backgrounds are truly white. The only issue noticed is where there are very small definition images, there are some image crawling artifacts visible. An example of this would be if a person is wearing a shirt containing very close vertical patterns or stripes, then these artifacts would be visible during any movement of the person. This may be due to the 60 HZ scanning rate of this model as opposed to a 120 HZ scanning rate. There may also be some settings still to be optimized which may reduce this effect. Otherwise, this OLED TV presents a truly excellent picture with acceptable sound quality.
