Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the superb picture quality, rich colors, and ease of use of the 48" Class A2 Series OLED 4K UHD Smart webOS TV. Many appreciate the OLED technology and the TV's lightweight design, making it easy to wall-mount. However, some users find the refresh rate and remote control less than ideal, and a few have expressed concerns about the user interface and operating system. The price point is frequently praised as a significant advantage.

Got this tv for my husband in a replace of an old $100 tv. Before buying this tv I compared the quality of oled tv to non oled and there was a significant difference. Even though this tv wasn’t on display I was reassured it’s the same quality but smaller screen. Well good news it’s an awesome tv for its price! I imagined it would be better but now going restaurants and places with big screens I think to myself that out tv is better. But it is a base oled meaning that if your budget is under $700 and you are ok with 48” this is the way to go but if you can spare a couple more hundreds I’d get the newer version. Bonus- it is loud! We are watching it with volume up to 11 now and it’s perfect.

Purchased for casual viewing - movies, sports, etc. Purchased about one year ago for my elderly disabled mother. TV is on more or less all day. Energy Saver and AI brightness/autodimming disabled and stay off. Using with Fire TV stick and wifi, Youtube TV streaming content, no cable. Connecting with wifi no problem and no issues holding connection. Updated firmware out of the box. No image retention after a year. Picture quality, color saturation, brightness, viewing angles are excellent. I originally purchased a fairly cheap soundbar to go with it, which as it happens was almost no better than the TV speakers, which are pretty decent. Two months ago I replaced the sound bar with LG S75QR surround sound bar which, for the sale price, is awesome. I love the pair especially for price value. The only issue I have is that the TV doesn't reliably sync with the soundbar when turning the set on. Sometimes the TV powers up and connects with the soundbar but chooses the TV speakers as outputs, despite setting to the soundbar as default, so I have to manually change sound to soundbar. That happened with both soundbars. With the new soundbar, sometimes the TV doesn't even connect with the soundbar at all, the soundbar won't output sound even when selected as output, and I need to unplug and re-plugin the soundbar, after which it connects and will output sound through the bar, system. Annoying but I don't know which appliance is driving the bug. Software always updated. Still, would highly recommend this TV and the soundbar.

I absolutely love it! Nothing tops OLED display. I play in dark room...picture is amqzing for dark games. Has all the bells and whistles...120hz, VRR, Adobe surround... Open box was in perfect condition. My only gripe is that the remote controller is finecky...I hate it. Setting the tv up to my liking took a little bit...but once done I enjoy every frame!

Bought it to be my primary work display. 4K 60 hz, unbeatable quality and color. Will likely burn in over a couple 3 years, who cares. Over the top happy, excellent quality. Only negative is I bought it refurbished from Best buy and it did not include the remote control or the screws needed to put on the legs for desktop use. Otherwise very happy with the quality of LG. Bought it on sale for $449.

OLED picture quality is really sharp with deep, vivid colors including black. Didn't even need to adjust colors out of the box. Went browsing models in stores and current generation OLEDS start off over $1K and easily cross $3K as you go up in size so choosing this one was a no brainer. For less than $600, this is a great entry level model. The OS has all the apps I use regularly for streaming, and 3 HDMI ports for connecting my gaming consoles and cable box. Two steps I recommend before using is turning off TruMotion, which causes that too real soap opera effect where what you're watching feels like a home recording and not a polished production. Settings --> advanced settings --> clarity --> scroll down to TruMotion and turn off. And second, turn off the feature that automatically turns on your connected HDMI devices. Before I figured this out, my PS5 kept turning on and the TV switching to that source while I was trying to launch a streaming app on the TV home screen. Very annoying. Steps to turn this off are settings --> all settings --> general --> devices --> HDMI settings --> SIMPLINK (HDMI-CEC) and turn off.

Thin and gorgeous to look at, both physically for the device itself, and for the crystal clear 4K Dolby content it beautifully reproduces. It does not have the 120ghz refresh rate typically meant for high-end gaming (Nintendo Switch owners need not worry) and allegedly is not as bright as newer versions, but for movies and TV, this is the bar.

An incredible value at the black friday deal of $569! No backlit remote is rather shocking for a high end brand. Has a wonky Wii style mouse pointer controller that I don’t love, but don’t hate either. The center click button on double as a scroll wheel which sometimes creates an undesired result or errant click. Webos is ok, has an app store and was able to get Plex working with my library no problem. Couldnt get the app working with the Tv. I haven’t found all the SOAP OPERA. settings yet, but most of the presets have bad SOE, however the preset cinema modes are good, and the filmmaker which basically does frame rate matching seems to work well. TV looks good even in my super bright nothing but windows living room, the reflections are maybe the harder things to deal with, but drawing the shades solves that pretty quick. You won’t find a better looking picture for the money. Also sounds surprisingly good and loud for a flat tv.

This is my first 4k/OLED TV and it looks great. I was a little worried about it not being a 120hz display and the brightness level after reading reviews on other sites, but it's more than bright enough and motion looks good on movies and live sports. Colors are of course fantastic looking, Blu-rays look amazing and streaming HDR content from Amazon looks great too.

I have waiting for a sub $700 OLED for years and having an entry level LG OLED available for $550 is a huge step in getting more adoption of these TVs. With that being said, I thought I was ready for this TV and knew what to expect going in, and I was not ready. This TV’s response time to scene/contrast changes are so instant and smooth, it is also so good at perfect black levels and HDR that my opinion on these features has completely flipped. I was and still am a bit scared about image burn in but the OS includes a bunch of well thought out tools to combat it. Watching 4K blurays or 4K HDR gaming content on the A2 is next level. I had been wanting a C series since the CX was reviewed and just didn’t think OLED would ever be feasible for me due to cost. I am extremely impressed with the A2. It is going to ruin my much bigger but older edge lit led tv when I go back to game on it, and that’s okay.

I cannot believe how good this TV is for the price. I purchased this TV on 11/19/2023 for $550 for the black friday sale. The contrast is always perfect. Never too dark or too bright. The de-judder smoothing for TV shows and movies is really cool too. It basically adds in more frames using AI and makes these old movies with 30fps look like 60fps. The response time is perfect for gaming. I would even say its good for competitive gaming as well. I have a 1ms gaming monitor and i can't tell the difference between this TV and my LED gaming monitor. I can actually play ranked Rocket League and Warzone on this TV with no issues. Lastly, the TV seems to be much easier on my eyes compared to LED and QLED TVs. My eyes don't feel strained even after hours of use.

Used as pc monitor and on ps5. Havent seen a black this good since my plasma back in the day. Only 60hz, but who cares. Oled quality at this price still has me baffled. It does seem to have arc issues when starting the ps5 by the controller, and will not wake up for my computer I have to manually turn it on. I use the optical out on an old school bose 321, so no clue on if the speakers are any good.

Great TV for viewing; picture quality is really good; remote can be tricky when that mouse pops up; just takes getting used to; didn't know it can connect to web, but it does; one app I had cannot b e viewed on LG but use the web to do so; (Up Faith & Family's app is not supported by LG; web only way to view it; the voice control is great; all and all--really nice tv.

I was torn between Sony, Samsung and LG. Decided to go with LG OLED and very happy with the choice. Especially, with the price reduction it was too difficult to pass up. The only complaint and it's not even a complaint is the remote control not very user friendly. So I had to invest sometime to get comfortable. with it. Otherwise, I'll be purchasing LG TV's from her on.

Purchased this to replace an outdated FireTv that just didn't have enough storage. Picture is amazing, sound quality is on point. The interactive menus are a little hard to navigate since we were used to our FireTv, but it's getting easier every day. The "ball button" remote is a little difficult, but again, more time will make it easier. Very happy with this purchase

Amazing TV with OLED! Black Friday deal made this so worth it! Jumping from 1080p to 4K OLED, was a crystal clear difference. Sound isnt bad either. The worst part about this is the remote where you can easily accidentally trigger the mode that turns it into a Wii remote. Slowly getting used to this feature tho which lets me click through things faster on the screen.

We placed this TV in our bedroom and are very pleased with it. We have a 77" LG CX OLED in our living room, and have gotten used to the superior picture that OLED offers. While this TV does not have some of the highest-end features, such as a 120hz refresh rate, it is an incredible value at its price point, with an image that rivals its much more expensive cousin.

This is the best TV we ever had, and its price is the lowest we ever paid for a TV in its size range (42 - 54"). After setting the mode to "Filmmaker," the picture is excellent, with great detail and vibrant color with realistic skin tones. We could no change is brightness, color, or detail when we watch the TV from the side; there are no bad seats. Surprisingly, the sound is very good and we could easily make out the dialog (audo mode is set to Standard). For those who want to stream from the TV to their hearing adis using Bluetooth, you can do that. There is no noticeable audio lag (after changing a setting to treat Bluetooth speakers the same as TV speakers) It's easy to pair and you can set whether or not to disable the TV speakers when streaming via Bluetooth. Because we're not using Bluetooth speakers, and both of us are watching the show at the same time, we set the TV speakers to be always on even though one of us is streaming the TV to the hearing aids. Note: when the speaker is always on, pausing streaming to the aid does not pause streaming to the TV. The stand seems quite stable; we don't worry that we might knock the TV over if we bump it. We've had it for over three weeks and have yet to find anything about the TV or its remote that we dislike.

I was wanting to upgrade to an OLED so I found an open box for about $350. I was extremely happy. The blacks are amazing and hypnotic on this TV. I love the way the colors are it’s a pretty amazing TV. I didn’t mount it nor use the legs, LG makes a stand for this and it fits perfectly. I’m extremely happy with it and would purchase again. The sound quality is amazing.
