    3 month review: Buyers remorse

One of the main reasons I bought this TV was because we needed a replacement for our $350 Samsung TV that had a bit of an accident. Additionally, it had a center stand which is what we needed. In-store, the picture quality of the sample video was spectacular. Once we got home and started watching shows on Netflix and Hulu, however, the picture quality was average. On some older shows, the picture quality was grainy, more so than on TV it replaced. It wasn't anywhere near this bad on our old tv. I wasn't impressed with anything about it. I expected more for a $1,000 TV, and I'm disappointed. The controller's motion control is sensitive. It activates with the slightest motion. This would've been a 3-star review but the controller was the worst part of the experience and needs another star taken off.

You can change the sensitivity of your Magic Remote control within your settings.

Tracking speed for the MMR can be controlled via the Accessibility options. Settings > All Settings > Accessibility > Pointer Options > Tracking Speed. ^Jennifer LG

Absolutely outstanding picture quality but overshadowed by horrible sound configuration. After days I still can’t get it to work with my Sonos system. Apple and Sonos verified everything was set up correctly and Sonos diagnostics reported that my system was working as it should. LG Support staff had no answers and had little understanding of the product or how to set it up. Help documents were outdated and images were not accurate and looked nothing like the settings I see on my TV. Support staff was unaware of their own updates to the WebOS and did not know what settings or steps to follow. I was left on my own without any answers or the ability to use my sound system. Most frustrating experience with setup of a product I have ever had.

Annoying Pointer on Screen that Can't be Disabled.

DO NOT BUY THIS LG TV!! The Magic Remote has a feature that is annoying and is impossible to remove. If you juggle the remote sideways, a pointer will appear on the screen (Like a mouse pointer). The only way to remove the pointer is to press the up/down/left/right button. that will make the pointer disappear BUT ONLY TEMPORARILY. Any motion of the remote will bring back the pointer. LG Customer Service states there is no way to disable this feature. I am taking mine back and will be buying a different brand.

Scratched panel, won’t play any video files from a USB device. The scratched panel was the ultimate deal breaker. But, the inability to play external video files was also a breaker to me. Save you money and buy a Hisense U8G or TCL R646.

Tv is nice but at times we struggle with the way the shows look , almost like “real” time and how camera moves with shoes but that is likely due to tv being lot newer than what we had.
