The Best TV I Have Ever Purchased

I went into my local Best Buy looking for a new TV as my Samsung Plasma TV began to show it’s age with screen flashing issues and the screen itself going black (sound kept going but total black screen). I initially convinced myself I was going to purchase a reasonably priced 4K Hi-Def unit until the salesperson showed me the LG wall! Despite being more than I wanted to spend, with the 24-month financing option, it made this purchase easier to handle (I even purchased the extended warranty).
Now I want to discuss the actual TV itself. My old plasma tv despite being dubbed thin was bulky compared to how sleek the LG models are. In fact, they are so thin I was almost afraid to handle the unit too much for fear of damaging the panel. However, it is sturdier than it appears but I would still exercise caution during the installation process! Attaching the base was relatively easy even solo but having someone assist would be optimum! The star of the show is this Oled screen! That was the biggest selling point when I was in the store. The images are very vivid and crisp. The colors and contrast pop, the black tones are true black, and watching high resolution video is a beautiful experience. I love the built in smart features and LG’s app offers lots of free content. One thing I was pleasantly surprised about was how the tv never runs hot. My previous plasma tv would make my room noticeably warmer which was great in winter but horrible during hot summer months. This unit hardly radiates any heat at all. The sound quality is great and I was able to connect my soundbar to boost it even more quite easily. I know I chose a medium-ish sized screen as it fit my needs (I did not want a monster of a tv in my bedroom) but with this screen quality I am still totally immersed in whatever program I’m watching. The larger models looked equally if not better in the showroom so if you are in the market for that you will definitely not suffer from any quality degradation. LG built an wonderful product that is sleek, high quality and offers a lot of bang for your buck. I have barely explored all the included apps and software and I have had this tv for 7 months now and I could not be happier. I highly recommend this product!

WOW!!! The best TV I ever owned....replaced my 12 year+ old 46" Samsung LED......The colors are so vivid and the Blacks are really BLACK....great contrast...hard to believe the screen is only about 1/8" inch thick...Due to no 1" frame around the screen, like the 46" Samsung, this 48" OLED screen is what you see...actually 1" more narrow in width....worth the money, so far....Using my Vizio Soundbar and Subwoofer....I am very happy!

Hi, Peter. Thank you for sharing your positive experience with your new TV! We're thrilled to hear that it has exceeded your expectations and that you're enjoying the vibrant colors, deep blacks, and great contrast. The slim design of the TV, with its thin screen, adds to the overall visual appeal. It's fantastic to know that you're happy with your purchase and that you're using your soundbar and subwoofer to enhance your viewing experience even further. We appreciate your feedback and are delighted that you're satisfied with your new LG TV. If you have any further questions or need assistance, please feel free to send us a private message on Facebook or Twitter through @LGUSSupport. We're here to assist you every step of the way.

Spectacular PC monitor, and TV

I bought this to use almost exclusively as a PC monitor. As such, it is spectacular. More than bright enough for an office environment. Responsiveness is the best I have ever seen on any monitor (0.1 ms according to LG). Picture quality is just stunning. I knew size would be a take some getting used to, and 48" is large enough that I have to turn my head a bit to take it all in, which is fine; just something to get used to. I replaced two 27" monitors with this TV so I have had to turn my head for some time anyway. I have watched a couple of streaming shows just to see how they look, and they looked fantastic too. I think the remote works fine too. Super easy. Can definitely recommend as a medium size TV or a gigantic PC monitor. But for a desk setup, I would consider this the biggest practical size. Some might prefer the 42" model. In X-Plane, the airplane cockpits are close to life-size. It makes a difference when EVERYTHING is clear and readable. At that size, it makes flying with greater precision easier. The only limitation is it does not have a display port, so I have to use a high data rate HDMI cable to achieve 2160 at 120 hz. No more 144 hz for me even with the built-in GSync, but that's a small tradeoff. I can give up 24 fps for such an incredible picture and such smooth motion. It's so responsive, I do not need VSYNC at all. There is no perceptible tearing, and motion is amazingly smooth. You will of course need a decent rig to drive 3840x2160 at 120 hz, so keep that in mind. I imagine it would be perfect for consoles, if that is what you are after. Sound quality is good for a TV, but I don't use the TV speakers unless I'm using it as a TV.

I purchased this TV to replace a 10 year old UHD Led Samsung, after poor HDR perfomance in the streaming service platforms (Disney+, Prime, Max). Although pricey, OLED was the solution. No more dark image or smokey scenes due to HDR. This TV performs excellent. Bright colors, vivid images. On a plus, the sound is magnificent.

Incredible picture, easy to use, and a ton of great features - you have a lot of control over brightness, clarity, color, energy use, data privacy, and a lot more. LG's Smart TV interface has a lot of clutter, but there are options to remove it - I would recommend getting an Apple TV or another streaming box anyway.

I finally decided to treat myself and upgrade my gaming setup from a 26" Sharp TV I bought for my dorm nearly 10 years ago which was still functional but lagging for modern gaming needs. Was torn between a nice monitor or an OLED TV for my Series X. I play mostly FPS games, such as Overwatch 2 & Apex Legends, and it has every gaming feature needed to take full advantage of next gen consoles. Plus, I still don't think I've fully dialed in the picture just yet. I got it on sale for Black Friday and the money I "saved" went right back to a 5 year Geek Squad protection plan which covers burn-in, so basically a free 5 year warranty.
OLED tech has improved over the years with risk of burn-in, but based on some extensive research, if you're not leaving a static image on your display for hours on end all the time (which I don't) then you're fine. This has a pixel cleansing setting when you turn off the TV, so just turn it off and leave it off uninterrupted for the required time (10 minutes) and there shouldn't be an issue.
Since I'm primarily using gaming headphones, this next part doesn't usually apply to me, but the common piece of negative feedback is that a soundbar/surround sound is likely required if you watch a lot of movies/TV, and I agree as the TV speaker could be better. I have an older set of Klipsch computer speakers with a sub I plug in via the 3.5mm jack and it's plenty for my room even though I want a better set. For a big room though I'd probably need to upgrade, but that gives me an excuse to buy more tech.
I had to wait until my personal time to buy was right, and boy was it. Just do it.

The brightest OLED and best game performance

Brightest tv I owned I never owned a OLED and this was the perfect way to start my OLED line of TVs. It’s so bright in movies and shows and in gaming without losing color or clarity. I’m movies that are made dark by filmmakers this OLED makes them brighter like if they were remakes of them. Truly spectacular. For gaming in hdr and Dolby vision is also truly bright and beautiful colors that pop at you from wherever you are In your room. And the game mode input delay is never noticeable whether in 4k@120 or SDR u won’t feel a sinch of input delay or tearing . The blacks are like walking in a cave in the middle of the night really inky blacks all over whether in game mode or SDR. I would recommend this for both movies & gaming to anyone who does both.sound out of tv speaker in Dolby atmos is almost like owning a soundbar in fact I prefer the tv speakers over a soundbar anytime since I have a small room I share with my wife who also has a lg c3 tv .overall u won’t be disappointed my wife can’t be happier with lgC3 . We saving up to by lg g4 both us .

Pros -
- Remote has numbers not just scroll buttons!
- Excellent sound compared to any other TV, almost sound bar quality.
- Remote has numbers not just scroll buttons!
- Picture quality is second to none. It is the best and I viewed hundreds of TVs in person before buying it.
Cons -
- In bright rooms, OLEDs are not at their best.
- It's heavy, really heavy for a flat screen. It's not the screen, it's the electronics base so it's an unbalanced heavy when lifting. Not sure I will ever wall mount this one due to the weight. Once it's in place, weight no longer is an issue. Just be aware when you take it out of the box.
Did I mention Remote has numbers not just scroll buttons? Hey TV manufacturers! It's NOT ok to dump the numbers from remotes! I passed on less expensive models due to the "dumb" (no numbers) remotes.

Easy to use, clean os, looks amazing with 4k player, it has built in dolby atmos and it does not suck like most tvs with the option to ad a LG sound bar to combine tv and sound bar sounds together in sink. Nice touch, picture is impressive in all modes even in power save mode, the motion handling is savage now, has a new proccesor now and works on all fronts makes it way bet than the c2. Got it $1399, when the c2 was$999.99 but the extra power and picture seem worth extra, the stand in the middle makes it easy to place anywhere, and has alot of anti burn features aswell, i kinda worry about that, but all an all a beast for 2023 really a must have glad i got it , but you could wait for black friday to buy and save some $ i got the 48''

This replaced the old sharp in the man cave. Was going to replace with a cheaper tcl, then saw an open box of the LG C1. that arrived but didnt work. so, I bit the bullet and spent more than I planned on. So glad I did. I dig sci-fi and anything with good cinematography. The detail in the blacks and luminocity is incredible - the depth of the eyes of the Navi in Avatar, details in dark scenes of Bladerunner 2046 and Dune, like new movies. I use apple tv to run it, so no comment on the interface except to say really intuitive to tweek the color settings, which I ended up returning to default. I run through a receiver setup, but the sound seemed solid on the tv itself Oh yeah, it's super light, like 25lbs.
