LG mounted on a fireplace hearth.

Bought this tv to mount on a fireplace hearth.
I had the tv mounted by Best Buy. At the time of installation I purchased a surge protector and had a soundbar bracket attached to the tv so I could add a soundbar later.
With a larger tv upstairs I watch more television with my wife. (This has advantages and disadvantages- we usually root for the same sports team).

It’s a LG oled and as I tell all my customers once you go with a OLED, you will want all your TVs to be OLED. There’s no going back www.Parkcityhometheater.com

When I researched the best tv’s, the LG OLED came up as one of the top models. The cost was a little more than I wanted to spend, but I am very pleased with the quality.

Purchase out of box in "excellent condition." TV was bent completely in the lower left corner of screen and a huge scratch down lower right side.

This model was marked down to make way for the new 2025 C5. I was also torn between a 55" and the 48" that I ultimately purchased. Not only was the C5 brighter, the 55" C4 (and larger) also had a "brightness booster" that was not included on the 42" and 48" models. I didn't know if I would have buyer's remorse. I also hadn't purchased a new TV in years, and the technology has changed a lot. After looking at a lot of different TVs, I bit the bullet and bought the 48" LG C4, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. I was never able to view one this small in the store, but when I plugged it in, I was amazed at how good it looked. People tend to complain about the controller as well, which I found to be perfectly easy to use. I find the number of buttons annoying, as I have yet to use over half of them, but it is not the nightmare some would suggest. Anyway, watching 4K movies on this is mind-blowing. The clarity, contrast, color, etc, are beyond great. It feels like I am watching some old favorites for the first time.I would recommend this TV to anyone.

LG C4 48-inch OLED TV – Absolutely Amazing

The LG C4 48-inch OLED TV is amazing in every way. The picture quality is crystal clear, colors are bright, and the 4K resolution makes movies and games look incredible. This LG C4 TV works great for gaming, streaming, and everyday use. Setup was fast and easy to install right out of the box. The sound is strong, but paired with a soundbar it’s next level. The LG C4 48 OLED has amazing performance, smooth motion, and the brightness is perfect for any room. Hard work clearly went into this design—it feels premium and built to last. Best Buy made the process fast and easy, with excellent service and quick pickup. I would definitely buy the LG C4 48-inch TV again, and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing OLED TV that’s easy to set up and works flawlessly.

I recently upgraded to the LG OLED TV, and I’m absolutely blown away by how stunning it is. The picture quality is on another level. The OLED panel really shines, especially in darker scenes where you can see every detail without any backlight bleed.
The sound quality is surprisingly rich for built-in speakers, but paired with my soundbar, it feels like a full theater setup. The webOS interface is fast and intuitive, and connecting to streaming apps like Netflix, Disney+, and YouTube was effortless.
Design-wise, it’s sleek and minimalist, with ultra-thin bezels that look gorgeous mounted on the wall.
Overall, the LG OLED delivers everything it promises: breathtaking visuals, premium design, and top-notch performance. If you’re looking for the best home entertainment experience, this TV is absolutely worth it.

Pros: Colorful TV that's bright enough for reasonable light in the room. Can you open all shades from all sides? No, but side windows should be ok. Overall smooth interface, great audio option as DTS was missed with some of the ripped BRs having DTS audio only. The 120-144hz feels about the same, but it's a nice option for people more sensitive to the difference. All inputs have 4K120 capabilities, and easy to setup. I think the 48 inch and lower max or peak brightness is 800 nits. My PC tested it at 775 nits which is plenty. 55 and larger does have brightness booster which can hit 900-1000 nits so keep that in mind.
Cons: 144hz is not native outside of gaming mode. You have enable in gaming mode, and on PC you have to create custom resolutions to enable 144 HZ outside of gaming mode. Last con, and this is might not be the case for everyone, but it is for me. HDMI inputs on the left side of the monitor. My AV Receiver and HDTV indoor antenna's are setup on the right. All the inputs are on the left. I had to upgrade HDMI cables to 9-10 footers or whatever 3 meters comes out to be. This also causes cables to poke slightly our from the left side of the TV.
However, this con was due to my last TV having the inputs closer to the right side with two on the side, and two facing down. Older TV as it had it for 7/8 years. So really 1 con with the TV, 2nd con is due to my legacy setup.

Lg Oled never dissapoints! I bought this TV for my work area and I absolutely love it! It is a perfect size for the room and how close I sit to it. The colors are very accurate and the processor adjusts perfectly to different type of content. Motion smoothing is perfect, Dolby Vision looks stunning, gaming is amazing! It's also plenty bright for my room.

More like a 4.5. The star off is mainly due to the remote just being clumsy and cluttered. The picture is terrific, though it needs a fair amount of fine tuning to balance color and brightness. The hack to get more brightness out of the 48" model seems to be the Expression Enhancer, which apparently for gamers, but works well on some settings for regular viewing.

I love it so much! My buddy kept recommending mini led because its close to oled. But their still something about oled that makes it far more superior than mini led. I love the inky blacks and the infinite contrast ratio. Everything runs so smooth on this tv i watch hbo max dolby vision movies and dolby atmos sound on this tv is awesome for tv speakers. My ps5 games come to life again. I love this tv i hope it doesnt burn in or have issues. The web is is good but it does lag sometimes which is why im considering buying a apple tv 4k since im in the apple eco system anyways. Anyways amazing tv and yes its expensive but its well worth the money. Once you go oled you never wanna go back to traditional va ta or ips panels. LG knows what they are doing. I recommend this tv to all my co workers and friends but unfortunately they broke and cant afford it. Oh well they missing out lol

Upgraded from LG C1 to LG C4 48 inch

Upgraded my LG C1 to the C4 and everything about it is better. My sound system is finally able to communicate correctly with this model and
I'm hearing things on movies that I've never heard before. Colors are more accurate especially blues, whites, and grays. HDR actually hits because the C4 is able to get bright enough. I've yet to notice any green tint at an angle. 100% satisfied

Love my new LG OLED TV. I'm over 70 and find the navigation tools very responsive and user friendly. The sound is clear as a bell and the picture is an enormous improvement of my old Samsung LED flat panel TV. I did have it installed by Best Buy which was very helpful.

I had been debating on switching to an oled for a couple years now, and finally decided to make the switch. Let me say it was well worth it, like night and day. The picture quality is amazing and the colors are so deep. I have my pc/ps5 hooked up to it and the 120/144hz is a welcome upgrade. If you were considering getting an Oled, take the leap you wont regret it.

It's tough to beat the brightness/color/contrast of LG's C-series. They're rightfully top of class. Not the cheapest, but quite worth it.
The darks are excellent, the colors pop. I've been loving watching shows new & old, as well as gaming (whether Switch or PS5).
Lower volume levels aren't super nuanced. You'll need a soundbar or separate solution.

Setting up TV would have gone more smoothly had the voice in the set up prompts not been on warp speed and had enunciated more clearly. Fortunately this irritation was forgotten when stellar picture appeared on the screen at installation end. My second encounter with LG was the following day when I tried to access the manual on their site. Two hours later, I gave up and requested a hard copy from customer service staffer. Once again, TV itself makes up for an annoyance. Linda in SGF

I purchased the Sony A90k and the 2024 model Sony Bravia but could not get 120hz to work on The A90k. I kept the Bravia 65 for the living area but went with the C4 48 inch for my office, both to watch tv and for xbox. Wow this TV is amazing. The picture quality is as good if not better than the Sony Bravia . I have had it a couple of months and so far I have zero complaints. If you game it is a no brainer and NFL footballs colors are magical.
