Customers are saying
Customers regard the picture quality and ease of use as top features of the 49" Class (48.7" Diag.) - LED - 2160p - Smart - 4K Ultra HD TV. Many appreciate the 4K resolution and find the price reasonable for the quality offered. However, some users have noted that the remote control could be improved, and a few have mentioned concerns about motion blur and refresh rate, particularly when watching fast-paced content.

Good Bedroom TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved this TV at first. But some apps (such as iheartradio) cant be accessed without a LG magic remote which this TV does not come with. Streaming sometimes takes a while to buffer (and it's not the internet - the downstairs TV streams just fine) When watching regular TV its perfect and mounts well. The sound is not the greatest (not loud at all) so I suggest using a soundbar with it. Overall its a good TV though - and I'm happy with the purchase.

YouTube application has 4K issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a wonderful 4K TV but the Youtube app supplied by LG does not allow the user to toggle between HD and 4K. I produce 4K videos using GoPro with PowerDirector editing software. When I uploaded GoPro 4K videos to YouTube and tried to view them from the TV, the YouTube app would only show in HD. There is no way to change the settings to show the video in 4K. This is a serious limitation and I will have to return this TV.

great 4k tv w/hdr pro,works w/new xbox
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i was looking for a inexpensive 4k tv, i first tried a Sony that was on sale for 1000$ but i got it set up and found a lot of light bleed from the corners also it didn't have hdr so i returned it for this lg model 6100. this is a great tv. no light bleed, it's got hdr pro wich is the new standard , works great with the new xbox one s. the only con is the sound isn't top notch but that is fixed easily with a sound bar.

Great for the $$
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I found this as an open box item, paid about 500$ Could not be happier. Picture on this thing is awesome! Sound leaves much to be desired, as with any flat screen, but this one has better sound than any of my other flat screens, right out of the box. I was doubtful that I would see a difference in picture quality, based on all of my research, but it is definitely higher quality video, compared to 2 other 1080p screens of similar size in my house. Highly recommend this buy, if looking for a new TV, the 4k upgrade should be considered!

Beautiful picture with instant on
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One thing that my wife and I hate is waiting 10 - 15 seconds for a TV to warm up. This one comes on in less than 4 seconds to a beautiful picture. The colors, detail and clarity are great for a low priced ($550) 4K HDR TV. The upscaling from the normal HD Direct TV picture is great. Originally bought a different model but returned it when it could not match the picture quality of this one.

Great tv all around
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It looks fantastic. Sound is overall good for being a tv speaker, decent bass - not a flat sound. Converted from a Samsung tv to an LG & Love it! Especially 4K from my xbox one s

Xbox s compatible!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV with a bit of doubt since I had read that the xbox s one would only take certain tvs that could handle the specifications that the console demanded. Needless to say, it works wonderfully!!!

Very happy with TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We don't have cable and only watch Netflix and Amazon, and regular blueray. The smart functions are easy to use - has amazon prime app available, picture is great, up-sampling is great (similar improvement to watching a DVD on a blueray connected to HD). No complaints - seems like good value for the price compared to similar sized 4K tvs.

How can they sell this.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this TV for blackfriday. For a 4k 49" TV that costs 399.00 I wasn't expecting much of picture quality, but this thing is not even worth 200.00 Movies on this TV look like soap operas, and parts of movies/shows look sped up, yes, sped up. When an object is moving or when an individual is running it looks sped up, like the slow motion effect, but opposite. It ruins the entire movie or show. I did some research on how to fix this soap opera effect and the sped up issue, but all I could find was to turn off the truemotion setting. That helped somehow, but I can still tell the soap opera effect is still there and the sped up thing did not go away. I can't even watch news without noticing the sped up thing, it's annoying. Cartoons look nice on this TV. If you want to enjoy a movie on this TV, you will be disappointed. I want to return this thing. I'm not happy with this purchase at all. 4k TV..Blah!

Worst TV I've ever owned
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like millions of others I was a huge fan of LG products. I had a bad experience with an LG smartphone a couple years back, but didn't affect my opinion. I must say this TV has killed any love I had for the brand. My main issue is the software, absolutely nothing works with this TV. The screen mirroring, apps, nothing. This TV never connects to my wifi so Netflix, youtube etc are useless. My playstation is my best friend when streaming. It has this weird thing with turning on and off. I never know if it actually went off until the "no input" message comes across the screen. I have never been so frustrated with a TV in my life. I actually had to take a step back and say to myself "Self..it's just a d**n TV, not a person flipping me off in traffic" I'm buying a new TV in a month or so. Heed my warning DO NOT BUY LG go with Samsung!

Useless Warranty!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This review reflects the horrible experiences I had with lg's customer service - just thought you might like to know. Apparently I bought a suicidal tv from LG. I have the 2015 version of this tv that just decided to quit working. LG set me up with a certified repair tech who just happened to be 1.5-2.0 hrs from where I live (a factor that weighs in to my nightmare with customer service [CS] - because he stated that it really was not worth to him to drive that far to repair 1 tv). I told him what the symptoms were, he asked for some pix and without ever coming to my home stated that the tv was damaged beyond repair and that he was going to tell LG that the screen had physical damage! There is not even a hint of a scratch anywhere on my tv - and, yes, it is under warranty until 12/28. LG took him at his word and told me that they would NOT be covering my tv. They did offer up at that time several other certified techs much closer to my home, but that it would be at my expense to have anything done to my tv. I talked to 4 supervisors and none of them would listen to reason - just kept referring back to a tech's unreliable assessment to keep from honoring the warranty. I had had a great deal of respect for the LG brand until this incident which has cost me $900 tv. We had all our family over for Thanksgiving and I asked my two grown sons to remove the useless tv from the room (I was unable due to 2 recent major knee surgeries). Both of my sons concurred that they could not find a single scratch on it - they both stated that issues like mine are why they do not buy LG products. I am going to tell all who will listen about what has happened to me ... including the members of the church where I serve. Issue with tv? As I was hooking a new cable box to my A/V system, the person from the cable company sent an activate signal. The picture came on, the listings began to populate and then the tv slowly started to phase out from a picture to a bunch of lines that looked like they had been drawn with a crayon! Screen went black ... tv is dead. One supervisor tried to tell me that it was an internal crack on the screen - but I wanted her to explain how that could happen without any physical damage to the tv?? I had been having audio trouble with my system (hence, the new cable box - turned out not to be the problem) - the tech did tell me that a new motherboard for the tv would have corrected my audio issues. Whatever counclusion you may draw from my review - please note that this was a very convenient way for LG NOT to honor the warranty on my tv. Huge loss for me at a very bad time in my life. Hope this hasn't/doesn't happen(ed) to you.

Bad experience exactly after an year
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the product exactly 1year 1 month back from now. It worked fine for 1 Year and starting getting issues later. Picture on the screen is completely blurred with lines and dots on screen. I enquired about the issue with Geek squad ant it was told to be costing 200$ for repair
