The TV is fine and the functions work as expected, however, the lenses on the LED lights have cheap glue and they fall off and reveal white circles on the screen and it is a pain to fix.

Took the on line price to the local store. The associate was super helpful.The LG tv was in stock. The extended warranty was also on sale.A good product at a good price with excellent service.

This Tv started showing some grey shade from left side and this keeps increasing and moves towards the center with time

I just bought this TV and right out the box the picture quality was really good. I've never had a flat screen TV before so I am very excited about this one. I decided on this TV mainly because it was on sale during black Friday and I was looking for a TV between 45-50' and this tv was the best bang for my buck. It looks great in my room and right now I have my PS4 hooked up to it and with the games I play it looks really good (Diablo, GTA5, Knack and Infamous to name a few). Set up was quick and it took me approximately 45 minutes to hook up the tv and my play station with the help of my bother. It is pretty light as well, given the size of the TV. I bought it by myself and I was able to take it and put it in my car without much difficulty (I'm only 5'2). I also like the the trim around the TV is so thin, I had some of my guy friends look at it and they thought it was a lot bigger than its actual size. The stand is very sturdy, the way that it's designed you can be confident that it's not going anywhere. I would say that if you are thinking about getting a TV this one is definitely a strong contender and for the price that it was selling for it was a no brainer to get this TV. The speakers are also pretty loud on the TV as well. I have been reading up on flat screen TVs and a lot of reviews have been complaining about the sound. I would say this TV is more than enough especially because I have it in my room. Of course its not surround sound, so the quality of the sound will not engulf the entire room but it is not supposed to. If it was in a living room I could see putting the surround sound speakers on but I probably wouldn't recommend doing that in a bedroom because I think it is plenty good the way it is. Overall I love the TV, I hope this review is helpful! I wanted to be pretty detailed since this is the only review so far.

I was very excited for this tv. When I recieved it, it seemed fine. But after 2 days I started to get backlight issues. I called best buy to exchange it. Well they no longer have this TV available. So far best buy has done nothing for me. They told me I could get a full refund, and then purchase another TV. I don't want to purchase another TV, that will be more expensive! Also the sound on this TV is not so great. For being an LG product I would expect much better. I'm very disappointed with this TV and the way best buy is handling this. I'm not done talking to customer care. Best buy really needs to make good on this. Even their geek squad told me to exchange it instead of repairing while in the exchange period.

Plan on using it in my guest room. I have not connected it yet as plan to re model the room.

I ordered several flat screen TV's from Best Buy recently, trying to find one for my brother as a birthday present. My brother is an audiophile, and has a lot of expensive and very high quality analog sound equipment that he wants his flat screen TV to interface with. Not an easy chore to find a great flat screen TV's that will interface with analog sound equipment without either distorting the sound quality or reducing the level of output (either bass or treble). It seems that TV engineers these days only pay attention to the digital side of the equation, and product reviews (and even manufacturer specifications) are no help. Fortunately, this LG TV delivers not only excellent picture quality, it appears that its engineers have not forgotten about the analog (especially sound) side as well. Best Buy was excellent in allowing me to return the TV's that were not up to par for analog sound, and provided great service overall in finally getting my brother the TV that he needed for his particular needs and discriminating tastes.

Im going to say its a great TV for the price, I love it. I bought it since my family did not have a TV in the living room, and I saw this TV for a nice price. I decided to buy it, now we have a nice time watching Netflix and action movies. Im very satisfied, sound quality is amazing is Dolby and watching the movies in 1080p is great as well

I purchased this television to mount in my master bedroom. The picture is exceptional and the sound is better than I expected after reading the reviews in here. It is more than suitable for quiet bedtime use. I do agree that if this unit was placed in a large room with lots of activity going on a sound bar or sound system would likely be required. I mounted the unit on a wall so I didn't have to deal with the stand a part of the unit. The picture is bright, the colors are good, the clarity is wonderful. It more than suits my needs. I recently purchased a larger Sony for my living room and I don't which has the better picture, the Sony or this LG.

I purchased the LG model 49LB5550 tv on 1Dec2014. Worked right out of the box. I use the TV with a wifi blu-ray disc/dvd player to watch Netflix. PICTURE: For me I didn't need to adjust any color settings. The picture is color rich with clear detailed image. Outstanding picture quality. Haven't seen any motion blur. SCREEN REFLECTION: The 'side' of the tv sits about 5 feet from a wall that has 2 windows with blinds kept open. It faces towards a couch which has an end table and lamp turned on in evenings. I don't see any reflection on the tv screen am or pm when watching it. If the tv is off, then I do see reflection of things it faces. SOUND: The total speaker output power is 10W. Some things I have to set the sound up very high but for the majority of things the sound can be at the middle to lower end settings. I watch Netflix and public television shows. If someone gave me a 'sound bar' I wouldn't use it though some reviewers feel the need for one. ENERGY EFFICIENT: Best Buy description appears erroneous. LG web site states " the tiny energy-efficient light emitting diodes help make this model Energy Star Qualified® along with our Smart Energy Saving feature that helps conserve energy". I keep mine on the 'medium' energy saving setting. CAUTION: I recommend you purchase tv from Best Buy. Others who have got them a few dollars less and shipped to their homes have had assorted major problems. If there is any issue with the tv out of the box, you can return it to Best Buy and they'll handle the problem for you. I used free shipping of tv to the store and it arrived in 3 days from their warehouse. Also, look carefully at the 'stand/feet' on the tv. It doesn't sit on a pedestal which is the norm. TV on the stand/feet is 40.5" W #measured from outer edges of the feet# x 9.7" D x 27.5" H. From Best Buy I purchased the Insignia™ - TV Console Model: NS-WD1450 for use with this tv. It is very sturdy and has a high quality expensive console look.
