||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had to purchase another digital antenna to get it to pick up any channels, already had one new antenna, did not work, then it will not stay connected to the network, having to have a tech come out, was told this is an issue with lg tvs, they are planning a patch soon, as upgrade, if you see one coming in grab it.

STOPPED WORKING AFTER A YEAR
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this TV from Best Buy and it worked for a little over a year. It will not even turn on now, the red power light comes on and blinks a couple of times and then nothing! I've purchased so many LG products (washer/dryer/fridge/TV's) but never again!!

Very good TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought an LG in 2013 on Black Friday and it went out on me within 8 months. Thankfully, I had The Geeksquad Protection and was able to exchange it for a Samsung. Well, that Samsung Went out after 2 years and I bought this on sale this year. Originally, I bought a 4K Westinghouse and ended up taking it back and exchanged it for this. I can't tell you how much LG has stepped up their game in 4 years since I've had one. Pros: 1) The picture quality is incredible. We have Direct TV and watch Blu-Rays mostly. Obviously, there is a quality difference, but that's from the Sattelite connection and the native 1080p of the Blu-Rays. 2) Menu set up is incredibly easy to figure out. The User interface is easy to understand, and even easier to navigate. 3) The remote is small and everything is clearly labeled. Cons: 1) The only con I have on this TV, if you can even call it that, is where the remote sensor is located on the TV. It's in the middle below the screen itself; it's almost hidden. We have a sound-bar and the sound-bar is blocking where the remote sensor is. However, this is more an issue with MY setup, not the design of the TV. My Samsung had the receiver on the right hand side so I was able to change inputs and such without having to get up. Now I've run all my HDMI's through my sound-bar so the only time I have to get up is if I'm turning the TV on or off, which isn't that bad. 2) This TV only has two HDMI inputs. Make sure if you have more than two HDMI devices that one of those devices allows pass through. Currently, I have my Direct TV Box, Blu Ray Player, and my IPhone connected through my Sound-Bar, all via HDMI connection. If I didn't have that, I'd be having to manually plug and unplug HDMI cords everytime I wanted to switch something. Overall, the few cons aren't a big deal to me, but possibly could be a deal breaker for someone else. I happen to love this TV and believe it's worth the price.

Pretty good for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great tv. Good picture, good sound, easy to use. The only issue is that the peacock app keeps stuttering. Also after the 4 year mark, the Wi-Fi receiver stopped working. Had to use the wired connection or streaming stick.

Great TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome picture, works well with Netflix, great for my bedroom. Was deciding between this model and a 4K TV in a 43 inch size, and decided to go with this one since I was wary about some of the reviews/information I read about cheaper model 4K TVs (picture issues with live sports, possible distortion with lower quality DVDs, and also the matter of the availability of 4K content (can't afford to go out and replace my hundreds of DVDs from the last 15 years with 4K products, and I'm still old school with just getting the free TV stations through the airwaves and using netflix)). It was also a good deal at the time I bought it (and less expensive than the smaller 4k tv I was considering). To my knowledge no one's ever complained about going with a larger TV over a smaller one. The only knock against it that I've come across and that someone else pointed out in a different review that I read before purchasing this model is that the brightness is all preset--you have to pick a certain setting and can't adjust it like you can, say, the volume. That is a small flaw I can live with though.

Great TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have always liked LG products. This model has worked perfectly for me, including Netflix and Hulu, which I use a lot. Setup was easy. It easily connected to my home network, and it has a great picture and sound. Also it was an excellent deal at Best Buy.

Great TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this TV back in October for my bedroom. This picture quality is great, the sound is really good for my bedroom, it comes with some really good apps...Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, YouTube, and YouTube Kids (a favorite in my house). Comes with 2 HDMI ports (not a big deal to me), and only 1 USB port (I wish there were more). The remote is easy to operate and the Netflix and Amazon hotkeys are a nice feature because there is no wait time for the apps to boot up. A great TV for the price. I am considetring getting another one for the living room.

Great Value, Feature Packed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this TV for a month and am happy with it so far. The smart TV features are great and very easy to use. Regarding the picture quality, I found the predefined settings (e.g. sports, cinema, vivid) result in a picture that is too dark. You will definitely need to do custom settings to get good picture quality, but once you do you'll be very happy with the results. The legs are very flimsy,it seems like the TV is designed for wall mounting. If you have small children be very careful when using the legs, the TV seems like it could topple easily. Over all a great buy.

Love it thus far!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this tv last night to replace the Sharp brand that didn't work right out the box. I'm glad now that the Sharp 43# didn't work because I was able to get a bigger screen with the LG 49" and a better value, for just a few extra bucks. The sales associate was very helpful and patient with me, as I made my decision. I'm a woman and it was not too heavy to lift from the car to the house. Set-up was easy, although I'm a techy and love to put things together. I must say, the stand was more difficult to install due to the length of the screws - longer screws would make installation much easier. Setting up the tv was a breeze. The pic is bright and vibrant.

Very impressed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We went in to Best Buy to get some information on a Sony 48" and Samsung 49", but after carefully looking at those TV's and two other brands, we not only got the info we were looking for, but left the store with the LG! Now that we have the TV set up at home, I could not be more pleased with the easy set up and the performance overall. Having never owned an LG product, this was a very pleasant surprise.
