Nice TV for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this TV for the den/office to replace aging/failing 32 inch TV. Originally was going to get the 43 inch version but the 49 was only $40 more. You rarely hear anyone say that a TV is too big...Very easy setup for Netflix/Amazon/Hulu etc and with the dedicated keys on the remote really nice. Picture is good, not great but then again I was not paying $ for great. No problem with the sound, I mounted it to the wall and sound bounces off wall to provide decent sound. If you don't have something behind the TV you may have an issue. All-in-all this is a great performer for the price. I purchased the TV mount at Manards, it has to be the best one I have installed to date (I have installed about 6 of them to date).

Great purchase
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I based my choice on the 55"LG HD TVthat I purchased 5 years ago. The price was attractive, the ratings very favorable. The TV is everything that I had hoped it would be. The SMART technology has so greatly improved, the picture is spot on. Hookup could not have been simpler

Great tv for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this tv in November and have been using it since then. Huge upgrade from my 4 year old Samsung hd flatscreen. I use it for netflix, youtube and with my ps4 pro. I am very happy with the picture. The sound is excellent. I know a lot of people who have tvs in this size range but went with less reputable brands, and I'm definitely glad I chose to go with LG. not knocking Samsung! I'm just saying a lot has changed in 4 years. but my brand new LG is miles better than some lesser brands new tvs. With the research I did, I feel like the only way you're going to get a better tv is if you spend a significantly higher amount of money and go with an OLED screen... in which case you're likely to be spending at least 3x as much.

Not good for Wi-Fi streaming
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This review is based on my experience with this TV model that I purchased from a different vendor. The Wi-Fi looses the connection frequently and when this happens you need to unplug the TV power, reconnect, and then it work again for a while (20 minutes to 1 day). It happened on all the 49UJ6200 TVs that I owned. Two TVs that I purchased and one that was repaired by LG with new main board and new wi-fi card. I tried everything that was directed by LG second level support:- software update, hardware reset, turned QuickStart off, and DNS change. Nothing works. When it works I can see my router and all the routers of the neighbors. When it does not work, no router will show up. That is an indication that the problem is not in my router. LG is out of fixes, they offer to replace the TV with the same model, but if 3 TVs had the same issue, that is probably not going to fix the problem. Other then that, the Picture is good. I can buy a Wi-Fi extender and connect it to the TV thru a wired internet and that will probably help, or, buy Roku (or alike) and get my streaming thru it. So, other then not be able to use the 'Smart" capabilities thru the TV's Wi-Fi hardware, it seems like it is a good TV.

TV Time Is Great Again
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not bad for something made in Asia. This is a great, just absolutely great, probably they best TV in the universe in the price range. Really shows how great and handsome I am on the television, very detailed, beautiful. The speakers are not much to brag about but not bad, not bad at all. My only complaint is that I need more 4K content, you can't really fully enjoy 4K technology without 4K content, which is tremendously horrid, an absolute shame. Make 4K standard again.

Great Buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this tv because I wanted a smart tv without spending a whole lot. I got this tv on Feb 17th on sale for $369 It was a $180 savings. I don't have a problem with sound and I adjusted the picture to my liking. At first I was going to return this but fixed the issue with the dark picture.

Great value

Not the worst, though not the best.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 17,000 hrs and seven years, it is glitching and has lines all over it. Aside from that, it constantly says there’s no signal, when it is receiving a hard wired hook up. The main smart menu would not go away. Not the worst tv, though certainly not the best.

Dead in 7 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had this TV for 7 months, 7! It no longer turns on, completely dead. No storms, no power surge. Called LG, the service was great. The rep attempted to troubleshoot, but yeah....still dead. Since it’s under warranty someone is coming next week to look at it. Hopeful it will be fixed, but first LG Television I’ve bought and first TV I’ve ever had break in under a year. I’m watching tv on a cheap 19 inch toshiba in the bedroom that’s 9 yrs old. Works perfect. I gave two stars because the TV was great for 7 months, service was great when I called, otherwise, I’d give it one star.

Pretty bad black uniformity, pseduo-4k as well
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not worth the MSRP for sure, not even sure about the sale price of $349. This is really an entry level 4k TV with the pseduo-4k (google fake 4k LG). Not that I have an eagle's eyes to stare at my TV and count pixels, but it would be good to know that this panel does not have 4k natural resolution. Also the black uniformity is horrendous, you will see bright patches in dark regions of a pix in a dark room (say watching a Tim Burton movie in a dark room). The WebOS is pretty snappy and nice though. I'd rather pay $50 more get the Samsung entry level.

Kinda works alright
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have constant issues connecting my phone to the screen sharing. I often get errors saying it's unable to connect. The color is nowhere near what my previous Vizio tv had. Many of the colors appear darker, the contrast gets messed up on my samsung bluray player which distorts the colors. The other tv didnt do that. I do not like the input selections, it feels clunky and slow to change inputs. Overall I feel I coupd have bought another 4k TV and been happier.
