Good picture, terrible instructions
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture is nice and I'm able to connect everything. The manual is nearly worthless as is any help I've managed to find online. I like to watch Youtube on the TV; I've been able to view my subscribed channels, but the videos appear in random order and I can't figure out how to arrange them by date like I can using my home computer.

Don't like Web OS
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great picture and sound. I may return it because the WEB OS is very confusing compared to Roku T.V.. Although there's a multitude of choices including worldwide radio it's a clunky interface that sometimes lags in selection and makes one think it's not going to change channels. Sometimes the audio doesn't match the speaker, a voice lag.

Decent TV but Wouldn't Buy Again
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Perhaps it is because the cable signal is not that great, but I'm not wowed by this TV. First, the screen is pretty dark, and there is not an option to adjust the brightness. I noticed that the TV on display in the store seemed dark, but the LG salesman told me it could be adjusted. It could not. You can only adjust preset display settings. Secondly, there seems to be a little trouble with the connection between it and my cable remote (not sure on what end), but I have to press the power button about 10 times to turn the TV on or off. Third, the picture quality does not seem to be any better than my 10 year old LG TV. Other than that, it has been a decent TV. The sound is good. It was easy for one person to carry and assemble the legs, and if you're concerned about the cost, the price ($549) has been the same for about a month. While I don't want to go through the hassle of returning it, I likely would not purchase this TV again. The increase in cost for 4K was simply not worth it.

Nice picture, bad WiFi
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV has a good picture, but the most important feature to me is the WiFi, as my network configuration makes it impractical to use Ethernet. While streaming Netflix, the WiFi will randomly drop, when you go into settings to reconnect, there are no WiFi networks to be found. There are cases on the web about the WiFi card being defective, and I believe I have one.

Good TV, when you don't already have a samsung
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't get me wrong, this is a good TV, although the picture settings are a bit difficult to perfect. BUT, I already have a Samsung 4K TV in my loft area and I figured since I don't spend that much time in my bedroom this TV will do and it was such a good price on black friday, it will be fine even though I already knew samsung was better. Boy, was I wrong! The difference in clarity between the two is not even close and it is not something that I could ignore or live with. Like I said, if I didn't already have a samsung, this TV is good quality for the price. Safe to say I had to exchange and stick with samsung and even paid the difference to downsize to a 43" because 49" was just too big in my room.

good overall
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.im torn on this I bought mainly for gaming (pc2) I still think my 1080p Toshiba looks much better than this. the colors just don't seem right and ive made several tweaks .the other options are outstanding (menu access and the like). maybe I was expecting more from the xbox 1 . id hate to spend cash on the xbox 1 x and it be the same. however forza horizon looks miles better than pc2 so it could be the game itself. shadows on the track seem very pixalated and frame rate seems slow meaning objects in backround aren't fully there until you get closer...

poor quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased tv 11/17 and 10 months later the TV would not stay connected to the internet for both ethernet and wifi and voice to picture were out of sync. Many Others have reported this same issue. and, there is no issue with my network. I placed a ticket with LG and they sent a tech and the tech confirmed the issue was with the TV. (Service visit number one.) The tech stated the issue was with the motherboard and order new part. Two weeks later the tech arrived at my house opened the box and determined that LG sent a Burnt motherboard. (Service visit 2. ) The tech then ordered another part which took two weeks and installed the part and the tv still did not work. (Service visit number 3.) The rep said they had to order another motherboard and it could take another few weeks. this would be 6 weeks without a working tv and visits from tech. I decided I had enough and called LG request new tv or refund which they said I needed to call the repair company that they sent and have them send a service report to LG so they can make a determination on if the TV should be replaced. I did as they requested, but the service repair company said that this is not standard practice and that I would need to call LG to have LG call them. i called LG AGAIN and they said they needed 5 days to decide how they will handle the issue. Many phone calls and time i had to leave work early to meet the repair man......this tv (not the repair company) has been a problem. this tv is not worth the hassle. go with a better made tv.

LG 49UJ6300 4K UHD SMART LED
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture is dark and cannot be changed, even with all the settings LG offers. The picture is sharp, but the color and contrast arbitrarily changes while watching a scene. There is no support available from either the manuals or on LG website as to how to use the TV settings. Tried contacting LG customer services by email, but no response. Very disappointed with LG service. Have no clue how to use some of the buttons on the remote.

Two tvs, two different issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought two of these last year and both have had issues. One looks faded brown for all shows despite changing picture settings. The other has great picture quality with bright colors but drops WiFi every 10 minutes. I mean absolutely forgets it despite saving. I've contacted LG about the issues but have not gotten anywhere. If purchasing I suggest buying an extended warranty through geek squad so you can actually get it fixed or replaced if yours is also a lemon.

Great TV - very poor stand
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the TV before Christmas and it worked really well. I like the WiFi features and clarify of the TV. But the tiny little leg stands are terrible. It looked like the TV was unstable and sure enough, it’s now crashed to the hardwood floor and is destroyed. It’s outside of Best Buy return date, so am now working with LG customer service to diagnose the problem and recommend next actions. It was great for 2 months. Mount it to the wall if you get one.

Not Bad For The Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went out and bought this tv because I wanted a 4k tv to go along with my xbox one x. At first, I was pretty impressed. Then I saw what gaming looked like on a TV that had HDR and I was disappointed. See the thing is, this tv puts HDR on the box but rewords it to trick you. I knew that when making the purchase so I'm not faulting them. I'm just saying, if you're getting a TV for 4K gaming, make sure you spend the extra cash on one with HDR.

Drops internet constantly
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall picture quality is good. The problem is, it constantly drops the Internet connection. I read other reviews that mentioned this but figured they just had poor internet connections. I have 75MB down and can attest that you will have to unplug your set around every 20 minutes. Nope.

Not impressed with the quility of expected product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The good is the item arrived undamaged I thought, the bad is I have seen older LG TV's and they were fantastic, but this TV the viewing is still darkness after following the YouTube fixes for brightness and secondly getting the Yamaha soundbar to function was really weird, on the HDMI arc it shuts off the TV main speakers, the Xbox one was fun even with my friend who has these type of TV's running with his Xbox but different make of TV, it goes back to the inner workings of the TV someone must of been asleep when making these models. My satellite TV provider I told him how I had to hook up the sound and he said it was weird also and could be defective. Would I buy another one, not until they get their act together.

Doesn't Make It 5 Minutes Without Buffering
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture and sound are fantastic. HOWEVER, we cannot watch any of the Apps, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon because it starts buffering at least every five minutes and takes 3-5 minutes to reload. I've got 3 other TV's in the house (one in the basement, an old LG) and we don't have this problem other TV's. I also work from home where I'm constantly pulling data down from a VPN and have no issues. I'm so upset, I feel sick. I bought this TV because Sling was included but we can't watch the TV at all except for DVD's.
