This LG has outstanding colors and clarity. However, like so many other reviews, the black levels leave a little to be desired... however, that's not really noticeable until a fully dark screen is displayed. Other than a pure black screen, the black levels are fine. The 120hz refresh rate is SUPER cool to have for a PS5 and Xbox Series S! Sure there are more expensive options, but for the price, this TV is unbeatable! It's also a perfect size for a smaller gaming room setup; that's why we went with this size. So if you're looking for a next-gen TV on a budget, this TV fits the bill perfectly!

I switched over from Samsung to LG and at first i regretted it, the TV can be a little complicated to use at first, and the default settings are terrible out the box. Once you get use to the UI, the magic remote and you mess around with the numerous picture settings to get the picture just right (hint: get rid if all the power saving settings and local dimming to get started) this TV truly shines. Great picture, Magic remote is kinda cool and the processor makes the TV super quick combined with the UI ThinQ. 4 HDMI's with support for up to 120hz and HDR support. it makes this TV good for watching but great for gaming. i don't regret my purchase now.

I purchased this for my kid brother and have both gamed and watched movies on it. As with many TVs, it needs some tinkering out of the box because the colors are very saturated, but it has a very nice picture overall for a non-OLED display. The refresh rate is also nice for gaming. Overall, a nice option for someone that doesn't quite have the budget for an OLED display. The smart features on the TV are also quite impressive and would render an Apple TV or Roku unnecessary for the most part - doubly true for the cheaper USB-based Roku options.

Wanted cheaper tv that had next gen gaming features and bought this on sale for $499. At that price this tv is a steal. Colors look great on this tv, especially when watching 4K content. Now the negatives, the black level on this tv is not good, but this is an edge lit tv so that was expected. In hdr mode the tv does not get very bright and can look dim at times. Also I’ve noticed when playing 4K 120 FPS games there is slight flicker on the screen. I don't remember having this problem when I first purchased this tv so it might be caused by a update from LG. Hopefully they can fix it.

This TV has a nice picture. It is able to render 1440P at 120 hz on pc with hdmi 2.0. It does have backlight bleed, blooming, or whatever you want to call it when you see light coming from certain parts of the tv when it should be black (especially the corners). The remote is really cool. The app screen is not that good, all tvs should just be like androids fully customizable.

Love this TV - excellent picture, sharp and good HD especially with true HD sources (Blue Ray/Internet/Digital OTA TV/etc). Remember that your cable system probably does not have the true HD source content that you see in the store...as a result you will get better definition via connected device (i.e. ROKU, etc) OS and interface requires some getting used to, and the on board interface steers you toward LG programs...but nothings that removes from user experience...remote has cool functionality and the TV start time (from "off" to "on") time is reasonable.

    Excellent LG 49Nano85 LED

I'm a HUGE fan of all LG tvs since buying thier LG OLED55C8 and LG OLED65C9. So when this LED 49Nano85 series tv hit a low of $499 I grabbed it. It serves as a tv I use mounted high up on my bedroom wall for when I go to sleep. It has a great dimming feature and the Webos system we've all come to love. I cannot say enough about LGs smart remote and interface. It's the easiest and most versatile interface I've ever seen. The processor is a little bit slow but that's only in comparison to my other LGs which are 4xs the $. So with that aside its a really fast processor for the cost range. If you're looking for a great picture with awesome 4k technology, you really can't beat LG. I'm always quick to look at all of It's main competitors before buying. In this price bracket it's not only the better picture but it's design is unmatched. This TV has a super slick bezel with just a hint of chrome around the screen. Which make it look really really nice hanging on the wall. Built in Chromecast and WASA speaker ready tech makes this the tv for me. I've been able to hook up a pair of Harman Kardon Citation 100 speakers I bought at a ridiculously low $99 a piece. The Tv speakers are good don't get me wrong. These smart speakers are just amazing though at that price and work flawlessly with LG Nano85. If you want an excellent TV with features that you usually only see on the high-end one, then this is the one for you. I researched for 5 weeks before buying and extremely happy as with almost everything I buy from Best Buy.

Unless you’re only using this strictly for gaming, don’t by this TV. It’s local dimming is horrible and it’s an IPS panel so it has horrible blacks and backlight bleed/clouding. Otherwise it’s the cheapest HDMI 2.1 TV out there

This TV does have one minor flaw and it's crushed blacks due to the edge lightning. You'll notice with dark scenes while watching/playing anything. Overall, I didn't buy this TV to watch Netflix, etc. This TV is an excellent choice for gamers looking to buy the next-gen consoles due to the native 120hz (even though you can't tell a real difference from 60hz to 120hz). As a bonus, it has an optical port in the back for everyone that thinks they need to buy another headset or an HDMI adapter.

I purchase this TV to pair with the new generation video game consoles. All requirements is checked. So far its been really good. At first in the beginning of the 2021 year there was some flickering issue when playing 120hz games but that seems to be gone now. It may have been fix during a random auto update. No other issues I can think of. So far im very happy because of the 500$ price and it hits all the requirements those consoles need.

Bought primarily for spouse to watch TV on in bedroom (rather than iPad), and because of upgraded capability to switch between inputs (including game consoles and PC). Plus it was $1k cheaper than an OLED version of the same size version. PROS: Great picture quality. Impressed by ability to draw in additional over-the-air HD TV channels as this is being used without subscription-based cable or satellite services. Setup was very easy. CONS: Remote is a bit tricky to figure out. It does have a lot of features so my issues with it are likely learning curve related. Occasionally it's ability to show over-the-air channels and streaming shows (Netflix, Amazon Prime) stops. This seems to be either a hardware or software based problem. Rebooting the TV usually resolved this issue. I personally don't watch TV that much but have noticed this occur about 3-4 times over the past week.

Best TV ever! Especially from someone who doesn't purchase high-end items from Best Buy. Usually purchased prior from Target/Walmart during Black Friday. Price well worth its quality, colors and picture. Greatest for gaming cant wait for the Xbox Series X to see how MORE awesome the graphics/no lag are.

Its a great tv and i bought it to play the game. But sadly I returned it bc i felt it was delay in the reaction. I am using a first model ps4 idk if that was the issue but it wasnt for me. Returned it and got a Qled Samsung and im satisfied. No delay in the samsung. LG IS GREAT FOR PICTURE QUALITIES AND MOVIES. Just wasnt for me to game on. Oh and the remote suck. That’s it.

The picture is nice but some dark scenes are too dark. We are satisfied with our purchase but don't fall for the 'Free Channels' gimmick. They are simply youtube channels without the commercials. Also, for the amount of money we paid for a 'smart TV' we can't download certain applications such as NFL Redzone.

This is a great TV. The picture is very sharp. It really pops. I needed this specific size to fit into a cabinet so the selection was limited. I was concerned about having to settle for something of a lesser quality. There was no settling here. The refresh rate on this model is 120 which is great for this price point. I would deduct a half star if I could for the remote control, but I may still be on the learning curve.

I decided to replace my 10yr old Vizio in the family room. I purchased a 50VizioMQ7. Worst TV ever. It was so bad my wife asked me to put the old TV back up. I exchanged it for the 49LGNanoCell85 Pros: - Set up was very easy - Picture was great out of the box - Excellent viewing angles. Dang close to Oled - Everything looks soo good; sports, cartoons, movies Cons: - My space didn't have enough room for the 65"

This tv has a great picture. It's relatively user friendly, I'm still learning some of the smart features. One negative to note for some, this LG tv is not "compatible" with HBO Max, so you can't download the app. I still have cable and get the programs through that, but if you're a pure "streamer", as so many are, it won't work. I googled and LG hasn't made that agreement with HBO to my knowledge.
