||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to replace my existing 5.1 system and add Dolby Atmos. I thought the SK10Y, which I had been waiting for since the CES announcement, was going to be my answer and I really wanted to like it but it fell short. The first thing I noticed is there is no on-screen setup, which is odd for a system that plugs into a television, and it has no automatic tuning or adjustment methods I would expect from a system in this price rage. The sound didn't come close to my Pioneer 5.1 system that still has 80's Infinity RS2000s for the front channel. The sound was small, bass was underwhelming and the reverb was so bad you could hear the dialog echo. I even bought the rear speaker kit which didn't seem to change much at all. My room is a 20x25 foot rectangle with 8.5 foot ceiling, so you can't get much simpler that. On the good side, I was able to hear the Atmos effects off the ceiling. All that said, I still gave it 2 stars. if you want an Atmos system in a soundbar, this still might be the right answer for you. It's a simple system that can be mounted under a TV and most likely will provide better sound than the less expensive sound bars just don't expect the sound of a dedicated receiver and speakers. The reverb/echo still didn't seem right to me so watch out for that.

We just released an update for the SK10Y that allows you to adjust the center channel volume level. To perform the software update you will need the LG Wi-Fi Speaker Application. Once in the app you will click on settings, the Software Version Information and then you will need to select Update. Please ensure the sound bar is not powered off while the update is in progress. The sound bar will automatically reboot when the update has completed. Overall Good, Central Channel Sound Not So Much

They had it right. The voice level is horrible. The surrounding sounds drown out the voices. I like I can sync it to my OLED.. I have to turn down the sub and bass. Turn treble up and hope for the best. 1000.00 of disappointment.
