The remote is not super helpful to figure out what settings it’s on instead of bringing up a menu to choose from it blur out the setting every time you change something and the remotes doesn’t do a good job simplify that so you use the app instead but every time you want to connect to the sound bar, you have to do it through Bluetooth and if you’re watching something, it removes it off the HDMI input and puts it into Bluetooth mode. I tried so many different settings when watching a movie to see, which is the best one, but honestly, it just lacks the sound quality overall, and the subwoofers is lacking as well. I kept it over the 15 days so I wasn’t able to return it, but will never buy an LG sound bar if this is the standard.

When I first hooked it up, it was making some crackling noises and I couldn’t hear the dialogue. I had to unplug everything two different times and then it worked well.

Spend the extra, find an open box "like new" and get the S80TR. The S70 has an upgraded sound bar but the same subwoofer.

But I find the sound quality to be just ok. I still have issues hearing dialogue, there is a setting for that. But it sounds off. Like artificial? Its pretty jarring.

Lower the Dialogue Setting: If the current dialogue enhancement feature sounds too jarring, try turning it off completely or reducing its intensity if your soundbar offers a tiered setting (e.g., Clear Voice Pro, or a level from 1 to 5). Sometimes, a smaller boost makes a difference without the artificial sound.
Adjust the Center Channel Level: Dialogue is primarily output through the soundbar's center channel. If your soundbar remote or the LG Sound Bar app allows for independent channel adjustment, try manually increasing the volume level of the Center Channel (CEN) slightly (e.g., from 0 to +1 or +2). This is often the most effective way to boost dialogue without the heavy processing of a Clear Voice mode.
Try a Different Sound Mode:
If you are currently using a cinematic or movie mode, try switching to Standard mode and then making a minor adjustment to the center channel.
