Soundbar keeps getting disconnected from TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using this soundbar system for about seven weeks now. I paired it with the new LG 70 inch TV I bought with it. Unfortunately, the sound bar is disconnected every 10 minutes and I have to press settings and scroll down to Sound to re-connect the sound bar. It is very annoying. It could also be the TV but I shouldn't have to deal with this problem every day. I'm going to replace the soundbar with a home theatre system.

||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very difficult to set up and minimal directions. I am very frustrated with this product. You can barely hear the surround sound speakers. Ok sounds but not as good as I thought.

It seems like the sound does not match the picture and it gets worse the longer you watch it. I double checked the instructions and I’m sure it’s hooked up correct. Sound is ok for the price.

Stopped Working After 2 Months
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this soundbar in Feb. 2025. After using this system for only 2 months, one of the rear speakers stopped working. I had purchased the Geek Squad protection for it when I bought this soundbar. In April 2025, I took the system to the Gainesville, FL store, where I bought it and they took it to be repaired. The estimated date for the repair to be completed was May 13, 2025. It is now June 6, 2025 and the repair is still not done due to a part that is on back order. They have no idea when the part might come in. Because I purchased the protection plan and they have been unable to repair the speaker within 30 days, they are issuing me a full refund. If I hadn't spent the extra money for the protection plan I would be out of luck and out $250 dollars for a system that only worked for 2 months because the return period had already passed by the time it stopped working.

Posted .Hi there, Linda. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand that the rear speaker on your LG S60TR soundbar stopped working, and it’s concerning that the repair is taking longer than expected due to a back-ordered part. We can imagine how this situation must be for you. Since you purchased the Geek Squad protection plan, we recommend reaching out to Best Buy directly to assist with the repair and refund process, as they are handling the warranty and repair under your protection plan.

Lg soundbar review
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unfortunately I considered this to be underwhelming, my much older LG soundbar/subwoofer has much better bass and clearer tone, a lot of wires and cheap quality. Not the right choice if you already have poor cable management.

NOT a 5.1 system
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My review isn't going to be like the other reviews. I have been using the S60TR for 4 months now and this system is garbage. It says it's 5.1, but mine is stuck in a 3.1 stereo with a sub woofer. I have a left, center, and right. My rear speakers, no matter what I try or apps that you have to download, are just playing whats coming from the left and right speakers. Normally, hook everything up, go to the HDMI import that the system is connected to the and tweak each speaker

Posted .Hi, Michael. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We understand the importance of having your LG Soundbar (S60TR) model deliver the full 5.1 performance you expected—especially after using it for several months.
To help get those rear speakers working correctly, one helpful step you can try is checking the Sound Out settings on your TV or connected device to ensure it’s set to Bitstream or Pass‑Through, not PCM. When the audio output is set to PCM, the system can only receive a 2.0 signal, which causes the rear speakers to mirror the front channels instead of producing true surround sound. Terrible sound bar, connectivity issues
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is a pile of junk. I got it on sale as an open box but labeled "brand new" just had damaged box and only paid about $170 and that was far too much money for this. It constantly disconnects from the satellite speakers and makes crackling sounds in them. The sound quality is not great at all. If I had paid full price for this I would be so just kind blown at how bad the product is for the price.

Be warned about out of box purchaeez!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This review is more about the service than the actual product. I bought this product as a like new out of box purchase online for a new place i was moving into in a month. Product came sealed with “security tape” and an “inspected by best buy” sticker. Went to install the product the day i moved, opened the box and the rear speakers were missing. I called customer service and was told i was out of luck because 15 days had passed since i purchased it. The customer service rep was unwilling to help find a solution to this problem in anyway. Told me for all he knows the product could’ve shown up complete and I am trying to pull a fast one. As they have no way to verify that the product came in complete. I was told I would have to contact the store that shipped it to me from the online purchase. Previously in the call, he had told me that stores don’t take calls and everything is routed to a call center. With that being said, I asked how I’m supposed to contact the store that sold it to me online and he said I would have to physically go there. The store that sold it to me is 120 miles away. I’ve bought thousands of dollars worth of product from Best Buy over the years, but I’m not sure they’ll get another cent from me at this point.

Posted .Hello there. We understand your inquiry and appreciate you sharing your experience with your LG S60TR Home Theater Soundbar. It’s concerning to hear the rear speakers were missing from your out-of-box purchase.
As a troubleshooting step for future assemblies, once you have the full kit, power on the soundbar and press the SURROUND button on the remote to initiate the surround-sound test. This quick test will verify that the rear speakers are properly detected before you complete installation. You can also confirm that your TV’s audio output (eARC or Optical) is set to Bitstream with Dolby Digital to ensure all channels—including the rears—are recognized.
Since this unit was purchased from Best Buy, please contact them directly regarding their return or parts-replacement policy.

Posted .Hi, Rafael. Thank you for reaching out about your LG Soundbar (S60TR) model. We understand the importance of having all speakers connect properly so you can enjoy the full surround‑sound experience.
Since the middle speakers aren’t pairing, one helpful step you can try is performing a manual wireless connection reset by pressing and holding the PAIRING button on the rear of the speaker for about 5 seconds until the LED begins blinking. Then, on your LG TV or soundbar, go to Settings → Sound → Wireless Speaker Connection and re‑add the speaker from the list. This helps re‑establish a clean link between the components. Subwoofer Problems
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When watching something or playing through Bluetooth the Subwoofer cut in and out. The rear speaker stay connected and sound great. Very disappoint in this home theater soundbar after owning six LG TVs and a S20A LG Soundbar. I recommend A different LG Wired Home Theater Soundbar.

Posted .Hi, Lori. Thank you for reaching out, and we understand the importance of having your LG Soundbar (S60TR) model deliver consistent, reliable audio—especially when you’ve enjoyed multiple LG products in the past. Wireless subwoofers use a dedicated RF connection to the soundbar, but certain conditions may lead to drop-outs while rear speakers remain connected. To resolve this, press the PAIRING button on the subwoofer for 5 seconds, then power cycle the soundbar. This creates a new link and stabilizes the connection. Additionally, moving the subwoofer closer to the soundbar or away from devices that emit wireless signals (like Wi-Fi routers and cordless phones) can enhance signal strength. Not what I was expecting
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price it’s not too shabby, of course it was on sale, but not quite the “boom” I was expecting. It is louder connected by the cable rather than Bluetooth.
