we took a chance, was pleased

We decided to replace our black range with this black stainless steel range as we were switching colors. We did not want to wait 2 months for out first choice to be in stock, so we took a chance on this new model with no reviews as it was in stock at warehouse. We wanted a convection oven with 5 burner stove. The air fry feature looked like a great idea since we do use a counter top air fryer. After reading the manual and realizing that air frying will get the oven quite dirty, not sure we will use that feature. Wifi connection featured on this range is more of a selling gimmick than useful. You have to push button on oven to turn on wifi feature each time to use it, then open and log into the app on your phone. We have gas oven, so only oven feature can be used, (app will tell you if range is on or off). Press oven, then set temperature and cook time. Since the app uses wifi and bluetooth and you have to be in the house to use it, it just seems more of a gimmick than useful. The oven lights quickly, less than 1 minute, and reached 350 degrees about 10 minutes after starting it. I like the "insta view"feature, tap on the oven window to turn on light without having to reach across hot stove. The burner grates are nice and solid, easy to remove and clean, but as they are cast iron, mine were not perfectly flat. My 10 inch skillets and pots tend to rock front to back when stirring. I have not used the included griddle yet, but I like that it "locks " into place with cooking grates. Overall, I would give this range a 4.5 star rating out of 5, primarily because the wifi feature is not useful to me personally.

    Overall, A Very Good Range

I have owned this range for a little over a year now and it has been great, with one exception…the center cooking grate is slightly higher than the 2 outer cooking grates. Cooktop: • Burner performance is very good; a lot of options for high heat and slow simmer applications. • Easy to start and large, hefty knobs make it quick and easy to adjust as you are cooking. • Cleaning is relatively easy, with respect to a gas stove; cooking grates are easy to remove and put back in place. • The only glaring issue is the unevenness of the center cooking grate (slightly higher) compared to the 2 outer cooking grates. o This makes it a challenge to move pots around the cooking surface easily; you have to slightly lift part of the pot or pan…it is not truly a continuous surface. o Large/heavy stock pots, filled with liquid, are a challenge to move or adjust on the burner, if not placed exactly in the spot you want them. o Also, when you have a fry pan bridging the center and outer cooking grate, any oil will tend to pool a bit to the opposite side of the pan. o At first this was a minor inconvenience, but after a year it has become a glaring issue for me. Oven: • The oven performance is very good; heat distribution is pretty even and temps seem to be accurate with respect to the corresponding settings. • Convection performance is excellent and the air fryer setting works well. • There are a lot of rack locations, so you have a lot of options for cooking multiple items at once. • Cleaning pretty easy, but I have not tried the self-cleaning option yet. Overall, I have really enjoyed this range, but wish there was a fix of the uneven cooking grates.

    Love/Hate relationship

In terms of cooking capabilities? I LOVE this stove. It works exactly as expected. Love the different burner settings, although I personally would prefer that the power burner be on the left, and the more "everyday" setting be on the right. That's just me. Oven heats up FAST, which I appreciate. Instaview works flawlessly and is a nice touch. The Alexa integration is useless. If you have to be standing in front of the stove to hit a button to access it? What in the holy heck is the point???? Absolutely useless, and it's a feature I was really excited about. Same for the air fryer function. No one sells the needed pan, apparently. At least not that I can find. Sounds like it would be a mess in the oven anyway. Stovetop? It is IMPOSSIBLE to keep clean without damage. I already have bubbling on the black stovetop surface. And so many scratches on the stainless front panel as well. Finger-printless surfaces? Where? Everywhere I TOUCH there is a print left behind. The grates are impossible to clean, as are the burner "inserts" I guess you would call them? The black circles that sit on top of the burners. Had a pot of pasta boil over, and now apparently my 2 month old stove has stains I cannot get rid of on those inserts. Permanently burnt on and resistant to any level of cleaning I have tried. Functionally it great. Esthetically? It sucks. I guess I would still recommend, especially if you are not a clean freak.

I've not had this unit long, but have to say I would not recommend it based on my experience so far. It is cheaply made and looks old even after a month or so of use. If I could have found a better oven in stock to replace my GE Profile that was too old to find replacements parts (or better yet, just the replacement parts), I would have done that. I don't have deep counters, so that limited my options. Issues with this one? Keeping the top clean. Bought a custom mat for stove top to help. The grates are very hard to keep clean. The very small storage drawer made it necessary to find another place for pans. It has no handle and is difficult to slide in and out (slides off track). If I set temp for 350, I want 350, not 325. Why should I have to read the manual to get an adjustment for it's "smart settings" that lower the temp that make my cooking LESS reliable? I purchased the air fryer, which I like, but purchased air fryer liners to minimize the clean up time. Materials for knobs and most of the range are poor quality. I am very disappointed.

I haven't used it too much but I'm beginning my holiday cooking and baking so it will get a workout! I haven't used the air-fry option but the basket arrived this week so that's something new. The grates are heavy and the griddle prevents large pans from centering on the flame unless you remove it. When you remove it, where do you put it? I'm enjoy the stove over all but it's been less than a month. The storage drawer on the bottom is pretty handy for large baking sheets.

All in all, I think this is a great product al though the black porcelain cook top is hard to clean without streaks. Love the tap on oven light. Used the air fryer once - big mess! Haven't used it since. I do like convection bake. Seems like it bakes more evenly such as with a frozen pizza. I also am big on the touch panel versus the click (membrane) type buttons I have had on my previous range, The do wear out. The grates are kind of heavy. You must be careful when removing and installing them or you could chip the finish. No problems since the install just over a years ago.

Stove works great. Harder to clean with the cast iron grates on top. The stainless steel inside shelves, even after doing the recommended procedure to make them slide easier, still slide hard. The controls and stainless steel exterior is very nice. Over all the stove is very good. I have had it only for a short time, so I have no idea of its long term durability.

Oven baked evenly and the convection feature is really nice. Only bad thing is the grates on top don’t fit over burners easily.
