Great TV....with an asterisk
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first TV I bought broke, literally, within 30 seconds of plugging it in. The picture went black but the sound worked fine. Apparently a board fried. I guess if it was going to happen I'm glad it happened right away. I took a chance and traded it in for the exact same model. It's an LG....they've got a good reputation. Best Buy didn't give me any guff about my return. They confirmed it was broken and I walked out 5 minutes later with a new one. The 2nd one works fine and has a great picture. I also recently bought a Sharp 58" from Best Buy in the similar "budget" price range. The LG has a better picture. The Sharp is still very good, but the LG edges it out a little. Side note: I can't understand how people compare these to models 3x the price. If you want a nice TV for under $500 (I paid $329) this one will do nicely. If you're going to trash it because it's not a $1,500 Sony....stop looking at $400 TVs. I turn off the SmoothMotion...it drives me nuts.

Love this TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to upgrade to 4k. I'm quite impressed with WebOS and the general picture quality of the TV. There was a major WebOS update for it that seemed to change the menu layout a bit. I'd recommend doing that first before you reconfigure the whole thing. There are two areas that could be improved. First, the option to enable HDR on the HDMI port is hidden pretty deep in the menus. I spent several hours trying to figure out why my apple tv wouldn't use HDR. I bought new cables and kept trying to configure the apple tv. Turned out, you must turn on HDR for each HDMI port on the TV. The second issue was integrating the TV with digital assistants. You download an LG smartiq app which in turn tells you to get an alexa skill, well two actually, that allow the TV to work. You must also setup an LG account for this. I mostly just use it to turn off the TV so far. ARC and the HDMI control feature work pretty well. It will turn on and off my receiver and apple tv when i power it on. Very nice. The remote also will control the apple tv menu, although i still prefer apple's remote. The LG remote control app does not work very well. The touch interface for menus is very buggy. Don't count on this feature. Not much of a deal breaker with alexa and the physical remote that comes with it though.

Not much to dislike, great value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So first thing is first, I read many of the bad reviews and many of them call out the stands as flimsy. I can understand why it's an oversight because the instructions/manual that come with the TV don't give specific instructions on how to install them and the booklet is actually for multiple models. You need to screw them in, and they work fine! The picture on the TV is great for the value. Love that it came with a free trial of Sling. Like a lot of the smart TV's i've encountered, the WiFi just seems to not hold steady. I had to get an ethernet cable to ensure the streaming works well. Something to plan for. That said, I love the interface and the apps for the most part. Not impressed with Sling, but that's the way the app is to me on most platforms. Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube, Showtime Anytime, and Spotify all work great. I'd have liked to see an HBO Now app as well, hopefully in the future! The browser works well, and I've utilized it to stream 1080p video. The screen mirroring as well as the Alexa capabilities leave much to be desired. Linking my laptop wasn't challenging, but I still haven't been able to link my iPhone/iPad. Overall, excellent TV for the price, love this thing! Wish I went larger.

Great TV for the price.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV works great for streaming 4K on my XBOX One S as well as my 4K Apple TV. The Leg stands are sturdy and fine, I think others installed them incorrectly. The legs twist/lock into place and then you screw them in. The Coloring on here looks great especially when you turn on "ULTRA HD Deep Color" (Your device needs to support this setting). Obviously this tv isnt OLED or QLED TV, you're not going to get that quality for $350. For the price the tv is a fantastic 4k option.

Great Bargain 4K Set
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had great luck with LG 4K sets, so when I decided to upgrade the 1080p 40" LCDTV we had in our bedroom, I knew I was going to get another LG. This set is a great value. I have it connected to an LG SJ7 flex soundbar and an Apple TV 4k and I couldn't be happier. It's not our main big screen, we have a 65" LJ 4K OLED set. If you're looking for a solid TV for a bedroom, play room or den, then you need to check this out. I got it on sale for $299 - which is funny because that's what I paid for a 32" 720p Dynex set I picked up on Black Friday from Best Buy like 3 years ago.

It looks more expensive :)
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I Bought this tv as i needed a bigger one now that i started to watching more tv. & let me say this VERY ACURATE COLORING! & VERY LOUD! it took 2 days to arrive and its worth every penny & more. If i hadnt looked at the price i would havw guessed maybe a 700$ tv Its worth it! The legs it came with ARENT WOBBLY OR FEEL WEAK like others have said.. they must not be installing them properly READ DIRRECTIONS PEOPLE.. on the legs your supposed to LOCK THEM IN each leg has a letter A or B so make sure you put leg A on SIDE A & Leg B ON SIDE B & FOLLOW DIRECTIONS you turn it a certain way once insterted (before you put screws) and it will do a low snap sound which means its locked. Overall i give this 5 stars seriously buy this tv for yourself and you can adjust all settings make it brigher more saturated in color

Great tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this on sale for $329 and set it up today and its excellent. Set up easy, yes the legs aren't supper, but once you put the screws in they are fine. Picture is great, sound better then expected without a sound bar. The WebOS is awesome. Smooth process setting up my cable and Netflix and lets me smoothly tab through folders on my laptop on the same network to look at pictures or music on the big tv, almost seamless. Great great tv for the price.

Great entry level 4K TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have to exchange one set for another one because it was damaged by the ding dings at FedEx. After exchanging for the new one, the picture and sound quality is outstanding. I bought this TV around the same time as another 50 inch 4K smart TV for a different room, the Samsung NU6900 and I can ensure you, the LG 50UK6090 is far superior. Such as with more HDMI ports, a composite/component port for older devices, and much more. The "Channel Plus" feature of this Smart TV is definitely a perk, much better than the "TV Plus" feature offered by the Samsung. Highly recommend this set for anyone who is interested in upgrading to a 4K on a budget. It's definitely worth the upgrade.

Great tv for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My Samsung quit so I went and bought a Visio at Walmart for 299. I use an antenna and the Visios tuner was weak. Took it back and went to Best Buy. The salesmen was excellent and recommended LG. He recommended this unit. The tuner on this tv is good. The epa requires all tv to come set to power saving options. So when you set it up turn them all off. The pic went from so so to WOW. Put it on vivid and the pic is amazing the depth of the pic makes it look like your watching a play not a show. Sound quality is good. Two negatives the smart software is from 2017 and the set is about 2 in thick. I use a Roku and a stand so neither of these issues were a factor. If your looking for a tv with a great picture without breaking the bank this is it. I paid $329 worth every penny.

Not bad, However
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just bought this TV yesterday, I like it... However the image appears to be a bit on the darker side.. Not as vibrant and colorful as my older tv.. The smart features are nice and easy to navigate.. Sound quality is good. Remote is ok... NOt bad for the price. I just wish the picture was a bit better

Can't get a better TV for $299
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only bad thing i have found is a lack of documentation. The feet click in place and get screwed in place. (not shown on picture setup). The rest was all on screen for me. A total breeze! I have had the TV for only one day and haven't stopped finding new things to be happy about. I went from a 1080p 40 inch Panasonic to this TV and the change is breath taking. I got as close as 3 inches from the TV and can't see any pixels. I don't have any 4k video so it is all upscale and can't wait to get a good 4k blueray! If you are looking for a 4K 50 inch TV look no more because this is it!

Good price, good tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first 4k. While its not perfect, its an upgrade from my entry level Vizio. HDR Mode gives me the picture i like. After making all the adjustments to all the settings, i think i've got what im looking for. Be patient and make adjustments to your liking and you wont be dissapointed.
