    Great TV, garbage software

Bought this TV for the bedroom, mounted it to the wall, it looks and sounds great. After using it for a month we definitely regret opting for LG due entirely to the software. After fighting the setup so that it wouldn’t blare static because it defaults to the TV setting, which we don’t use, we discovered there is also no native HBO app, at all. After using a Roku TV with the simple software and remote, the ThinQ software feels stuck in the past.

    So far not so good.

Set it up, turned it on, tweaked it for a couple hours, looked nice. 2 days in and the HDMI inputs stopped working. Then 1 & 3 started back working, HDMI 2 with the ARC function kept saying no signal. I reset to defaults then they all worked but I had to re-tweak all over again. 1 day later 2 quit again. So I called LG, we did a hard reset and they all worked, again. 1 day later HDMI 2 quit, again. Totally frustrated at this point. I was unable to set this TV up during the store return window (which seems to be short) due to work. I feel like I may have wasted my money and/or will have a long drawn out process to get a functional TV, I hope not but I will have to see.

Bought this tv, brought it home, took it out of box and screen was cracked. Returned it for another one, took it home and connected it. Sound worked but no picture. I returned it and bought a Samsung 50" that works great. And the Samsung was $10 cheaper.

    Worst buy of the decade!

I bought this in July 2018 and out of the box I had trouble getting a color picture with good balance color and tone. No matter how much I adjusted the picture, nothing seemed to give the picture quality I expect for a Big name brand TV. I called LG customer service 4 times in one week and all I got was this and that but no resolve to actually fix the problem. The color on this TV is so bad that I've seen better on low budget $200 TV sets from Kmart. DO NOT BUY THIS TV! LG IS NOT GOING TO CARE ABOUT YOUR PROBLEM!!

    LG Is Horrible

Bought a similar model from a couple of years ago and has already stopped working. I spent over $430 on a TV that only lasted two years. What a joke. I am usually a huge fan of LG but we had to replace are LG washer and now looks like we are out a TV. Don't think I will be buying an LG anything ever again. And I caution you also to be careful.

    Problems After 17 Days

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Stuck with a TV that changes aspect ratio on its own & pixelates stripes of red & blue across the screen. First one I brought home was DOA & this was the exchange. Should have purchased a Samsung. No recourse with Best Buy since it's past the 15 day return policy. Won't be returning here any time soon.

HDMI input failed 18 days after purchase

The HDMI input failed exactly after the 15 day return period was over. So, now, can't watch any TV or Bluray. As always, BestBuy showroom doesn't pickup the phone. And LG website tries to avoid repairing their product
