Good TV for a Good Price

Setting up was easy but couldn't connect more than 2 HDMI devices since there were only 2 HDMI Ports. Will have to buy a splitter to connect additional devices. I am replacing a 7 year old 32 inch 720p/1080i HD TV (paid $1000 when i bought it). So, it is a good deal for me. Played around the calibration settings a bit and picture looks great.

For $499, you get a great television. This TV does not have all the bells and whistles, but it has a great picture and a price less the $500. If you want a good looking TV for general viewing, you can not beat the price and should not be disappointed with this LG. Minus the lack of upgraded features, this TV is worth purchasing.

Bought the tv on Black Friday for the $499 deal for my new playstation 4. For the price it wasn't a bad tv. The picture is outstanding. The sound is not so great however. But I plan on purchasing a sound bar and headphones for later use so it really won't affect me. If I had to say anything. I'd say it was a nice TV for a nice price. Definitely a new pickup for anyone with a budget.

it's LG quality all the way, it's only cheap because it has no wi-fi or other apps. who cares. those things only increase the price. this works perfectly with a PS4, i watch movies, stream, and play games. the tv is on all the time, cheap to run. it's an amazing deal.

Guys just call LG. They assured me the refresh rate is 120. I called two times and both LG reps said the 5100 55'' is 120 Hz

This is a wonderful buy for $500.00. I feel fortunate that I have this TV in my house. I bought this at 10:00 pm Thanksgiving night! I'm just fine with the 120 hz Trumotion. After watching many football games I have not seen any blur. After owning this TV for a week I'm even more impressed with my purchase. Great, Great Buy!

I just ordered this online.I did verify that this tv is 120 not 60 directly from LG. Don't believe the prior reviews. Its a great buy for the money if you don't need Smart TV features. Grab it at this hot price while its still available

    there is no audio jack

Has anybody tried to hook up a computer speaker or headphones to this TV. There is no audio jack, I bought a connector and used with RCA audio jacks, it didn't work yet. The part that I bought is definitely working, what I am wondering did I get a TV with bad RCA jacks, are all those TV's made in same way or am I doing something wrong?

    Concerned Purchaser

I just purchased this television. Now I'm doing some research. There are no reviews anywhere. And I just checked LG's service manual for the 55LN5100 and the previous review is accurate. In indicates that this is only a 60Hz television. Not 120Hz! Let's just hope the online manual is not accurate, or else this is completely misleading. However... it is doubtful they misprinted the phrase 60Hz dozens of times in the service manual... Purchased with caution. I don't think I will cancel my order. The price is insane. I will wait and see. I believe they will accept returns in store if this is inaccurate.

The picture Quality is amazing as with most LG's

This set has a fantastic screen. The whites really pop out. At 500 bucks during black Friday you couldnt go wrong. The sound is fine but its not the greatest which I can see it being bothersome to some people. Definitely worth the price and will be happy to watch all my HD programming on this set.

only thing I would change would be to add another HDMI input. but other then that the tv performs just fine and for $499 you can't beat that deal. I love it

Anyone that made this purchase and is complaining would complain no matter what. The TV looks great, audio is good, and the price is amazing. The best thing is it doesn't make everything look like a junky daytime soap opera.

So yeah… It's the biggest TV I could find under $500 and it's perfect for me… Replaced a 32" Samsung with it that had a bad audio circuit and that cost us $1,200 5 years ago… and yes, it bugs me that it doesn't have the 120Hz capability (at least that I can find), but… It was $499 and my expectations were pretty low to begin with, but this is actually a real nice TV… I just hope it lasts! Getting the 5yr protection just in case...

This is a basic TV, if you want a smart TV. Buy a smart TV. The picture is great the sound is better than most. You will not find a 55" TV anywhere else for under $500.00. Very pleased.
