This tv is overpriced and of low quality for that price. Poor remote. Picture quality is less than my old box tv. Blurry durring action and sometimes even fuzzy. Slow change speeds for Internet. Overall a $50 tv priced at $700. I've been had. Never again LG.

We had to return this TV as the base was not in the center of the TV and hung off the edges of the cabinet. Pay close attention to the dimensions if you have a certain size shelf it must sit on.

Excellent picture and Smooth Smart Apps

I purchased this when it was on sale at Best Buy. I was told this was a 2015 model that had just been released and it was a 120hz. Although there were no reviews I went ahead and purchased since I"ve had good experience with LG brands. The picture quality on this TV is amazing, even Netflix shows look spectacular. I'm using an OTA antenna to get HD channels which look fantastic on this TV. The TV has a gunmetal gray which is quite nice and and separates it a little from the normal black bezels. The TV comes with two feet as a stand but you can wall mount it with a VESA 400x400 mount. The smart Apps works quite well and even over wifi I'm able to quickly stream movies from amazon/netflix, etc. The TV does not come with a magic remote but not much of a deal breaker. It is a little cumbersome to type in email addresses using the onscreen keyboard but that would be with any tv. I would definitely recommend this TV without hesitation and for the price this is a steal. This is LG quality for a Vizio price.

Still prefer Samsung TV's, but this is next best!

After owning Samsung brand TV's and Monitors for the past 10+ years (I currently have the Samsung UN55H7150 in my gaming room, along with the S27D590 monitor on my PC), we needed a new TV for the living room and I always wanted to check out LG's. We initially bought the Insignia 55" Roku TV, but were unhappy with it because of audio dropout issues (I reviewed that TV here as well). So, I returned it and "upgraded" to this LG TV for a little more. After we got it hooked up and turned on, the first thing I noticed was this HUGE white blotch smack in the middle of the TV. I initially thought it was part of the background, so I went ahead and set up the audio through the ARC (Audio Return Channel) feature and connected it to my new LG soundbar. Unlike the other Roku TV, it worked like a charm and had ZERO issues with it, once I figured out how to enable the ARC feature on the TV. However, returning back to the picture issue - I played a darker movie (The Nightmare Before Christmas!) to test the picture and to my initial fear - that huge white blob - was in the TV itself. Covering the entire middle, making darker movies completely washed out. It wasn't very noticeable on very bright pictures, but still, it shouldn't be this way... So, I checked and there were no other Best Buys near me that had this TV. I had to drive 1 hour and 15 min (one way) to a Best Buy in another city/state to swap it out for another. Luckily, the replacement is perfect! No picture issues, audio is great and no clouding on the screen. So, other than the drive-to-swap ordeal, I guess 3rd time really is a charm. So, I give this TV 4 stars. It's a GREAT TV, but their quality control needs a little work. I still much prefer Samsung TV's and will still stay with that brand for my main TV. However, LG makes a great secondary brand for me.

Best Value for a Mid Price TV

This is the Third LG TV purchased in last year. A 32" for Granddaughters College Apt Bedroom, 40" for Her and Roommates for their shared living room. (their new Apt now furnished them with a 47" LG so one of the parents bought their 40") and when our 8 year old 50" plasma died I naturally went to the LG I have the 55" Smart TV that is perfect. I agree that the built in sound is not the greatest so I hooked up my Bose Wave system above it and It sound Terrific. Only problem is that the only audio output is digital so I have to purchase a $50 Digital converter I found on Amazon to hook up the RCA inputs on my Bose Wave. But the results were Fantastic. It takes a little time for an Old Guy like me to learn all the fancy options but when you do you will be pleased at all this TV does. And the Picture Quality is Great. Very Very Pleased with this TV

When my 42" vizio smart tv died and geek squad issued me money for a replacement, I initially bought the new 43" Sony 4k Ultra, but returned it last thursday and brought home this LG TV. I needed the tv to stream content from my Western Digital My Cloud as well as provide great picture quality while gaming and watching netflix. This tv does everything with little to no effort and looks absolutely amazing!!!

This TV is a step up in size and features. It replaces my 10 year old 32" Westinghouse. I was leery about changing brands but this 55" LG is great! I haven't had it long enough to explore all the features, but based on the picture quality and sound, I love it!
