Screen turns off randomly

When I first got my new TV in April, I loved it. It worked great whenever I used it. My roommates told me that it started to randomly turn off whenever they were using it. Over the past two weeks, I have not even been able to use it because it always turns off before I can watch or play anything. I have looked up this problem with LG, and it seems to be a common occurrence among their machines. I will not be purchasing from this company again.
