LG is by far one of the better tv brands out there. Just as good as samsung but a fraction of the cost. This tv is awesome it has a beautiful picture great deep colors. The HDR on this set makes video games look real and rich in colors on my playstation 4 pro. I only bought this tv because of my pro and I am happy with this purchase. Football games look great and 4k movies make it seem like your in the movie. The user interface is also simple and fluid. Easy to use and get to apps and set up is a breeze. Would definitely recommend this tv to anyone. Everything I have is lg besides my sound bars. Great products and great picture quality.

I love the magic wand remote. The picture quality is good. The smart features are good. Only downside is the compatibility with mac based or iOS devices. Microsoft or android works great. Not so good with mac.

I had my mind set on a SamSung before I walked in the store. Spoke to a great associate who’s name I forgot sadly. He answered my questions and suggested the LG because of the value and I’m glad I took his advice. The unit has been nothing short of awesome, great picture quality, great sound, extremely easy to use. I especially like the point and click remote, it’s changed my life

Colors look rich and vibrant. 120hz native with 240hz enhancement is really nice for motion handling. Good for gamers, as it has very low input lag. (ONLY AFTER YOU UPDATE THE SOFTWARE THOUGH. BE SURE YOU UPDATE SOFTWARE TO GET THE LOW INPUT LAG). webOS is colorful and easy to navigate with the magic remote (puts a mouse cursor on screen). Viewing angle is good, along with the inputs. Has 3 HDMI ports, all of which support 4K @ 60hz with HDR. I only have 3 small complaints. One: because it's an IPS display, the viewing angle is very good, but it only has about 1100:1 contrast ratio, so the blacks aren't very black. When viewing in a well lit room, this won't be noticeable, but in a dark room, you can see that that blacks aren't very dark. Two: it is an edge lit display, rather than backlit. When local dimming is enabled, you gets columns of lit up areas on the screen because of this. Doesn't bother me too much, but is probably noticeable to some. Three: The screen uniformity is not very good. Most of the time, you won't notice at all. Put on a plain black or dark grey picture however, and you can see it. (See sample photo) Sometimes it's also visible in long panning shots.
These complaints are minor to me though, and to be expected a little on a sub - $1000 TV. The pros outweigh the cons on this one. For about $800, you would be hard pressed to find a whole lot better!

I really am enjoying this TV. The 4K is really only available on Netflix but what a nice crisp picture. The built in Apps are nice. I really wanted to get rid of the Roku and all the wires and with all the built in Apps I no longer need any other devices. The remote works great and the Tablet too makes controlling the TV from my Tablet easy.
All in all a nice upgrade from my previous TV

All I can say is wow! I visited my local Best Buy store right after E3 announcements because of the new Xbox One X. I know I needed to make the upgrade to 4K and knew very little about them. I told the employee I was looking for something around 55" for $6-800. I wanted the highest quality available. I asked about Samsung and he actually recommended LG. He said they have a better picture quality and color range. He led me over to this TV and told me the floor model would be on sale soon because it would be replaced by the newer model. Needless to say I scored an amazing deal on this amazing TV! The picture is so sharp and smooth it messes with your eyes. It was wise not to get an entry level due to lack of contrast and color range. I am thoroughly impressed with the TV for less than $500.

I watched some shows in 4k and I was impressed but not blown away. Until I started playing with the settings and found the HDR and It makes all the difference. The range of colors turns 1080p into a richer and more vibrant experience. Definitely recommend this TV!

I LOVE THIS TV! I have two gaming consoles hooked up, plus accounts for Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Video, Spotify, and YouTube accounts linked. It is a seamless experience! The image quality is impressive. Audio is great quality as well with no external speakers connected. Easy to learn controls, easy set up, all around good purchase!

TV was delivered and installed by Best Buy and seemed to work ok, but began intermittently displaying vertical blue and green pixels with a horizontal blue and green pixel banner within 2 weeks of delivery.
I called Geek Squad and they have scheduled a repair. I think it should be replaced.

I am over 60, I bought this LG 4K tv after reading hundreds of reviews on LG and Samsung models as they were in my price range. I bought my tv at Best Buy, after spending an hour with a very nice salesman, then thinking about it for another two weeks. I read more research Than I care to admit to, and the sales man even said I knew as much about the tv as he did. That said, here are the things I like about the tv, which are the reasons I bought it.
1. The picture is great. The tv it replaced was a wide screen 45 inch 720P.
Watching a movie really is different with the 1080P, with the great black and vivid colors. 4K upscaling is going on also, and the whole dynamic range thing. I am really impressed with the picture.
2. The tv speaker is fine for tv. But I have a blue ray DVD hooked up to it and was still able to hook up my old surround sound to it, to watch movies with. Unless your old surround sound has a HDMI or optic cable, you can not hook them up directly to the tv, you can NOT input RCA cables directly to tv. This was not an issue for me.
3. We have an antenna for tv and get more than 30 English channels, and the color is great.
4. Tv is a smarty pants tv, and hooks up to the internet easily. I watched some 4K you tube videos and they were really nice. Once you are connected the tv will update. When watching you tube a commercial comes on, just like when you watch on your computer. You can skip them immediately, so not a real bother. I do not use the tv as a computer screen.
5. I like the remote. It linked up to my blue ray player, so one remote if I want. Also when I turn the DVD player on, it turns on the tv, which is cool. And if you turn off the DVD player the tv will go off, so a nice quick shutdown.
6 . I did adjust the color preference to vivid. And followed other people's suggestions on what to turn off and leave on, and I am very satisfied how everything came out.
I have had the tv for two months and still love it. It is my first LG and I hope it will last as long as my old Hatachi. I bought the extended warranty for two years, because most people who had a problem with any big screen tv seemed to have an issue with in the first two years.
The only thing to be aware of is this. IF you are going to have your tv sit on a table top, The tv only sits about 3 inches off the table top. So if you have a sound bar it will NOT fit under your screen. This is not an issue for me either. This is the 4th tv I have bought from Best Buy in 40 years of living here, and all experiences have been good.

Ok so here is a story. We originally bought this model tv open box. Unfortunately, it had an issue which geek squad helped with and just couldn't be fixed so we decided to just return. Don't let that scare you about this tv here is why. When we went back they did not have this model in stock. So instead we bought a 65 inch LG that was HDR but not with the dolby vision and only 120 hz refresh rate. We got it home it was awesome but just wasn't the same as the 55uh7700. My girlfriend and I talked it over and we decided to go back to the original tv. The picture is so crisp. Sports are great. No black light bleed. You also have the ability of Dolby Vision. It is capable of more than HDR since its specs are higher. So in the end, which ever becomes the industry standard this tv will handle it. Also, if you use Netflix 4k, it is magnificent. We love the magic remote. Me being a techy person finds it to be easy to use. If you think it is not, put the setting to low and you will get used to it. Just having it a week and then going to the old remote on the 65 was not fun. It is so much easier to use the interface. We are able to control most of our other electronics like cable box and dvd with the remote as well. It may not work exactly the same as that products remote, but it will do the job. I have never seen a universal remote that will give you every function of the main product's remote. So it works just fine.

This was my first Lg product that I purchase based on online reviews. Setup couldn't have been easier, just follow the procedures as displayed on the screen after connecting to your input feed, be it cable, satellite or OTA (antenna) and power up. Wifi internet connection was quick once I found my password hidden in one of my drawers. This did take time since I had a lots of drawers to search. Overall picture quality is better then my others sets since it does upscale the video and HDR (once imbedded in the program) is always on. 4K videos on YouTube are stunning and the Hartman/kardon sound is acceptable without the use of any sound bar. Now I did find that you will have to make some adjustments to the picture mode setting, such as contrast, brightness, tint, there is a total of seven options, not counting the advance controls options. Of course these adjustments are dependent on the user preferences and some may be satisfied with the factory setting, but I was not satisfied with the setting and spent some time in readjusting. WebOS 3.0 is super fast compared to my smart 2015 set, and accessing your apps is quick by pressing the home button on the remote. Having voice search on the remote is an added plus. Resuming, at this moment I am very happy with my purchase.

To start I read close to 300 reviews before deciding what tv to buy. I narrowed it down to this and a comparable Samsung. Luckily I live in a big state with multiple Best Buy's with a lot of tvs on display so I can actually see them, the thing that made me choose this over the Samsung was cost. So I've used this tv for about 3 weeks now so I can't say anything about longevity. I use this for Netflix and my Xbox one s so that's how I'm rating it. The picture is great, very wide range of colors thanks to hdr, you'll have to change the settings to personal preference but I can almost guarantee you'll find the right one. Every type of movie looks great on this tv bright colors to deep blacks. Easy to mount, remote takes some getting used to but I like it. Not sure what else to say if you have any questions just ask, overall great tv would definitely recommend

Between this and Samsung KS8000, I took the leap for this one, number 1 for features, number 2 I purchased it for $759 on flash sale. So far 4k is great, tried Netflix 4k and I was blown away with picture clarity. I'm a little skeptical about bad reviews if TV having issues after 3 or 4 months of use, so we will see. As of today, this is a great purchase...oh yeah, PS4 HDR picture during gameplay is mind blowing incredibly good. I would highly recommend this TV. If not this one, then Samsung KS8000 is still the best, just does not have all the features as this one and of course it cost $300 more. Your choice, but I'm totally satisfied with my purchase - for now.

My first Lg and first flat panel. Nice picture. It's bright, and blacks are fine to me. Thin. Pleasing design. I love the remote. It will stand upright. Great if limited on table space. The wheel will scroll through channels. I imagine the wheel will last longer than buttons. Voice search is cool. I sometimes pick up some internet channels. Picture looks good with antenna signal. Blu-ray looks very good. Enough inputs for me. Sound is adequate. I have noticed some judder. It's not ridiculous. I believe it can be tweaked. Never saw judder with my CRT though. Unless you've compared many TVs side by side, I don't know why anyone would be disappointed with the picture, or notice what it may be lacking.

I have had this tv for about a month now. The only thing I would like it to have is more hdmi inputs. Other than that I have nothing negative to say. Great price as I purchased this tv "open box". Superb picture quality, great smart features, and the remote is really nice, yes, I said the remote is nice. It is like having a laser pointer but for your tv. Really can't wait to see what LG comes out with next.

the TV itself has an awesome design, the webOS 3 its so easy to use even the web browser because you use the remote as mouse by pointing at the tv.
Pros: elegant design. computer-like interface easy to use. great picture. very thin and light weight. use smartphone as remote via wifi. use Bluetooth headphones or sound bar or home theater for sound ( yes you can use your beats headphones to listen)
Cons: weak blacks but passable. local led dimming feature sucks in dark rooms

Got this on sale for Fathers day. It is a 4k tv with HDR for both format. Got it for the basement entertainment room. The picture quality is very good, with the exception it is not too bright, but works out since we are in the basement with no window to reflect off it. works great with the game sytems, low input lag.
