Overall Nice TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this set yesterday. Main reason why chose this set: 1) it fit my entertainment center perfectly 2) It supports both HDR & DolbyVision technology - set either way 3) it was a sale too good to pass up Had been eyeinig these for a while but didn't pull trigger due to price & reduced amount of 4K/UHD programming/DVDs available - sure this will increase over time. Set was easy to assemble - less than 10 mins - did not do any wall mounting. Did not have any issues with black lighting, etc as some other reviews have reported. I found it easy to navigate the menus & make adjustments I wanted/needed. The remote working as a mouse pointer is similar to a Wii remote, but it didn't seem as elegant. It did work fine though. Have not tried the vice features yet. Audio speakers are nice @ 20W setup which is better than standard 10W setup. I use a JBL soundbar, so TV audio wasn't that important to me. TV was able to upconvert my currently recorded 1080i DVR recordings. Wife stated it looked like TV characters were in the room with us. The amount of high definition & color over my other Panasonic 1080p set is dramatic. It is awesome, but will take some getting used to since it is so much better. March Madness hoops have been a real treat to watch! Can't wait to watch football this fall on it. Would recommend this set but not at the suggested retail. Wait for a sale. You'll be glad you did.

LG makes the best 4K panels.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So this TV is the only 4K panel I've owned so far, I certainly considered the OLED TV but for half it's cost this honestly is a great TV. Obviously when you're looking at the higher price brackets OLED becomes part of the discussion but in my case this TV is going to do fine for a couple years until OLED is a bit further along. I'd really like to test out the HDR features that are defining this year's high end models but the HDR content is very scare at the moment. I may update this review at a later time when I can ascertain the quality difference and if it's worth it. WEBOS3 is far smoother than I imagined having never owned a smart TV. Honestly I'll probably never use the smart features as the first thing hooked to this monster was a high end HTC (Home Theater PC) so those goodies are rendered moot for me, however I did poke around them and they ran perfectly with no hang ups so for people are going to use the Netflix app and it's kin don't be concerned. The set did come with the color tone set to a low warm by default so if your picture has a yellow hue to it go into the expert settings and fiddle with the temperature setting. A simple fix, but odd to see one enabled as a default setting. If you're too lazy to properly calibrate the thing then Cinema mode is probably the best default but it really is rewarding to properly calibrate a panel. All in all I'm happy with my purchase, sure you could get the much cheaper Samsung panel and I'm sure the picture is great for some people, but the far superior 4K upscaling combined with true 120hz panel with up to 240hz "Tru motion" make this my favorite TV purchase BY FAR that I've ever made. You won't be sorry.

Potentially good but reliability and Web OS issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV screen panel failed after two months - missed all the Olympics. Waiting for repair. When it was working the screen was sharp. The Web OS does not suppoort Flash and there is no way to fix this. This limits cord cutting usefulness.

Over-all-color Presence
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Didn't like the overall character of the image color. Tried, with online guidance, many different settings. Never found the color "presence" I was looking for. Seemed dull-not brilliant...

I love the tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This television is two years old apparently and it’s been moved around quite a bit, I will say the network card inside intermittently works so I have to use a third party device to connect to streaming but the picture is cool. There’s a work around to getting the network card to work again but I’m not doing all that.Seems to have lost a couple pixels when the tv is off I see a couple specs but other than that you’ll never tell by watching.

Incredible quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a Phillips 5000 series 4k TV and for its price it was pretty good. I really wanted to upgrade it however because the 4k quality wasn't that great. I took a walk around and best buy and saw this UH7700 on display and was absolutely blown away by the quality of the picture, I decided to scrap my Phillips. Once I brought this TV home, I was completely blown away by the quality, everything from the build to the picture. The picture is incredibly sharp and crisp, especially on YouTube and amazon prime video. The 240HZ made a lot of the YouTube videos that i watched much smoother than what it should and even some of my Xbox One games. I am so happy about this purchase and would highly recommend it.

fantasic uhd tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.starting with vizio, which under 5 yr geek squad plan had to be replaced, minor glitch and had to fix, so BB did a swap out and I wanted to do an upgrade with the Sony 850, looked really good in the store, thought maybe with a better angle it would be mind blowing, to make this short it was very disappointing, and with 7 days I was back in best buy, I was looking at the Samsung, but the sales person suggested the LG, wow what a picture on the UHD player, only thing I want to suggest, make sure you have a optical cable, the HDMI (arc) will only produce sound on your home theater from the cable/sat need the optical for Vudu to get sound, I have Onyko so it might be different with another home theater

Why did I not buy another Sony?
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well, I bit the hook on an LG 7700 and swallowed the line and sinker. I only wish I could expel the disgusting line and sinker. The hook is the LG has a nice chassis, vivid picture, lots of features (some of which will take until next year to figure out) and is priced right on sale at $799. The line is a long, I'm talking about a couple hours, forced march with the "magic remote" in hand setting up all the picture adjustments, sound bar, amazon prime, netflix, etc etc etc. It is exhausting. The sinker is the final realization that this product does not have an analog audio output jack. Huh? This means you can't connect any legacy speakers systems like Bose speakers hooked to my stereo amplifier or a 900 Mhz radio transmitter to power audio to wireless remote speakers throughout the house. Sony is respectful of us folks that like to keep legacy audio systems in place and kindly provide analog audio output. So for those of you considering the LG 7700, take deep breath and realize you can't play analog legacy sound with this TV. Sound bar, check. Bluetooth speakers, check. Bluetooth speakers and internal TV speakers at the same time, nope. Won't do it. So after spending 4 - 5 hours picking this up at Best Buy, physically unpacking and setting it up and finally becoming new best friends with the "magic remote", I will probably be returning this for yet another Sony. And get to go through the process again, hopefully much shorter this time. Oh. A footnote to all this: when I called LG product support for advice on the analog legacy sound connection I was informed "Didn't you realize you were buying a 4K sophisticated digital product?" Really?! When I told him I really wanted to buy a 300 pound 55" tube TV that had analog audio, he thought I was serious.

So many features for such a good price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is fantastic. I don't think I have ever seen a TV with so many features for such a good price. The quality is amazing and the HDR is without a doubt the best part of any 4K TV (don't waste your money on a 4K TV without HDR, don't be fooled by the lower prices). I was amazed when I turned on the HDR features for my Xbox One S, the difference is instantly noticeable. The audio is also fantastic for a slim TV. Not even at 15% volume and I can hear everything crystal clear. Also a big fan of 240hz, which this TV has. Big fan of the operating system this uses, I had Vizio TVs before this one, its alot different but definitely better. The magic remote is something different than past TVs but I really like it, almost like having a mouse on your screen, makes everything go faster. Have not tested all the features yet, like using your android as the remote, plan to test that soon. But I haven't found one complaint yet. Basically for all the features this TV has the price is without a doubt one of the best deals on the market. Why go spend $1000-$1500 on similar TVs with all the same features when you can get this for currently $799, don't miss out!

Great TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally purchased a Sony 4k 120hz TV but the picture quality was awful in my opinion. I took it back and ended up with the LG and WOW! what a great buy. The colors are vibrant and the picture is amazing. The 4K is awesome and the 1080 upscales pretty good as well. it looks good and sleek so if you are still thinking about it just buy it, you won't regret.

Best TV for the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the last year I have been looking to purchase a 4k TV that supported HDR. Bang for buck this TV has the best picture outside of purchasing an OLED Magnolia produce. Set up is easy, programming is easy and the "magi" motion based remote actually performs a lot better than expected. Controlling your set top box ie; cable/dish box, is a slight l;earning curve and could use some tweaks, but other than that it is great. My wife who could care less about a TV's quality and would rather have spent $400 actually commented on how she CAN see the difference(which is a win in the ma world) The 240Hz refresh rate does a fantastic job reducing motion blur and has very little of that jittery feel to it. For gaming, it is just beautiful. Hooked up to the Xbox ONE and having the HDR turned on, it really takes the gaming experience to a whole new level of wow. I really can not wait until the Scorpio comes out. That will really make this picture pop. Great job as usual LG.

Great TV for the Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this with the LG SH3K soundbar and everything works great. Set up was easy, the picture is sharp and clear. The only issue I'm having is I can't figure out how to get the "Magic Remote" to control the volume on the sound bar. Not a big deal, but slightly frustrating.

Great Picture
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After going thru several TV's, I settled for this 55" LG UH7700 model- much to my surprise it presents a great picture, and even great sound from 4- 15watt TV Altec-Lansing speakers. A sound bar may help, but I have it located in a small room so the TV speakers work just fine. Can't wait to cut my cable!!
