I thought the price point was excellent for this product. And the picture is absolutely incredible.

I’m a lg fanatic my house is furnished with 4 lg TVs and this one is the eye candy out the bunch. I wanted the 8500 Version with the 3d since I already have 2 3d TVs. But this one was a offer I couldn’t refute. The 4K and hdr on this bad boy is ridiculously vicious with the quality. The only thing i dislike is the local dimming feature which leaves white ghosting vertical lines on it but this feature can be cut off.

Amazing TV. Incredible picture and the magic remote and smart features take TV to a while new level.

We purchased last year's model. I was disappointed that the salesperson at Best Buy couldn't tell us the difference between this year & last year's model. We were saving a lot of money so went ahead and purchased last year's. This is the tv we've been looking at for awhile for our new house to replace the cruddy Costco tv that the previous owner had left behind. The quality is amazing compared to the old tv. We're very happy with it!

While there are some glitches with the 'Magic Remote', overall, the sound and picture quality of this television are both impressive and appreciated. I received this as a gift, and I have to say, it's one of the bet things I've ever received. The sound quality, especially gets me: the deep bass while slaying monsters is immersive and nearly stupefying. I would wholeheartedly recommend this item as a gift for yourself, or others.

Picture quality is outstanding and easy to setup. Plenty of inputs and nice having the apps on it.

240mhz is insane. Almost makes you feel barfy until you acclimate. Dope. Backlight is poo in dark rooms though. Vertically lights the screen top to bottom for small objects on black backgrounds. Can't unsee it. Hate it. Keep in a bright room and it's no biggie. Smart options are great, netflix, Hulu, prime... picture is good for $800 I paid on Black Friday.

We have a very bright family room with 2 sky lights, watching movies with dark scenes was very difficult. This tv has a much better picture and watching movies is much more enjoyable. Also, I read many reviews about the smart remote breaking easily. My remote is still going strong 2 months later, mainly because I only use the smart remote to switch between inputs while still using my cable remote for everyday use.

I was a little skeptical about how good the picture would be on a 4K TV with a cable company feed versus what you see in the store. I was totally blown away by how good it is when I first turned it on at home. I can only imagine what it will be like when they start broadcasting in 4K. Make sure you review the picture settings, mine was set to an Energy Saving Mode, this is the darkest setting, all others are better.

This television has impressed me in many ways. It's upscaling from 1080p is spectacular. Motion translates well into its high refresh rate without leaving as much noticeable ghosting as other televisions I've seen. The remote is simple, compact and the UI on the TV is easy to use because the remote has an accelerometer in it. You simply point the remote at what you want on the screen and it works. Love it so far.

Easy set up, intuitive interface, great picture, smart TV that deserves the word smart.

Sharp picture and the color is amazing. Didn't think anything could beat my Son, but LG did.

This tv is nice. Get some halos around people and objects from time to time but overall really simple to navigate and ultra clear picture.

This is a great TV for the main family room of the house. Easy to use and great picture.

Purchased this 55" TV when it was on sale. Not sorry! I added a much better HDMI cable (Marseille Upconveting MDMI Cable) which I purchased from one of the Home Shopping Networks. The picture is outstanding! I am still learning some of the features, which takes a while because of the remote(magic remote). It is different from what we are all accustomed to, but I'm getting there. Overall a great TV.

Very happy with the picture quality. Easy to install. Thrilled with the SmartTV voice search remote.

One of Best Buys sales rep. showed me this model that was on sale, and explained the features, I took the bait and have no buyers remorse. This TV has great resolution, color and is easy to switch to the different modes with the controller. The manuals (even the online manuals) are not so good, little or no help. But in the end after I had the Geek Squad come and connect it, I would buy it again.

At first I was skeptical about this LG TV due to looking at other ones in the same segment. When I first bought it, I first noticed how slim it was compared to other tvs and really enjoyed the set up process. The colors are deep, definitely could be better, but with the HDR 10 and Dolby Vision it tends to help a little. I for sure will say other tvs can have more colors and deeper contrast. The brightness is also another downfall to this TV. In a dark room it is perfectly fine but in a room with Windows and significant lighting, it gets hard to see sometimes. The smart interface is surprisingly excellent and the smart controller works great. Overal an amazing bang for your buck.
