horrible product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not two years to the day, this LG product quit working, no picture, just sound. It is not used every day, so I never expected this to happen. I will never purchase an LG product again.

The Sound is the worst I have ever encountered .
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound is terrible to adjust it is more complicated than the first moon shot . Trying to find the instructions on operating the TV much less adjusting the sound requires about 10 minuets then then finding the sound adjustments is another 10 minuets!

4K is great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 4K display on this tv is great! Now that more 4K options are available (DVD, Netflix, etc) you can really see the difference. Took a few weeks to get used to the clarity haha but it is our most watched tv now!

Amazing picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Went to pick up a 32inch for grandson but Hubby was so awed by this TV that grandson got our 40 inch and we got this. Love it so far. As mentioned in other reviews the remote is a little small and cramped.

Quality Issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV has a decent picture, actually quite good for this price range -- but the hardware behind it is sub standard. I initially considered this TV because of the brand. I bought this to replace a 42in 6400 series LG 3-4 years ago. I moved the smaller one to the bedroom -- still using it and it's a great TV. This one is also a "6400" series just 4k and bigger but the quality is severely lacking, just not a good fit and finish to it -- it seems cheap. The picture was fine, decent for the living room with high ambient light/sunlight, no issues there. The audio was good for built in audio, and again, decent for my application. The problem came in with the wifi. I got this installed on the wall in place of the old one. Connected to wifi just fine. Two hours later the streaming video I was watching dropped out and the TV restarted. I thought it was some update or something, so whatever. After it started back up I could not connect to wifi, couldn't even see the networks. I re-"set-up" the TV and was able to reconnect to wifi for a split second and it crapped out again. Did this about 4 times to no avail. During this time, I would get random drop outs and restarts of the TV as well. I bought this specifically for the smart applications and wifi. I have no ethernet cable at this mounting location and don't want one; so I returned it and bought a Samsung -- FYI, price match. ;) I would not recommend this for a dedicated media/theater room TV; LG is not selling it for that application so there's that.

Amazing picture, amazing price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I looked at TVs for months before finally picking one. The picture was extremely crisp, had a fluid frame rate and looked modern and elegant. This TV is ectreamly uniformly thin. Other campanies have "ultra thin" TVs, but they are typically thin (like 1/4 inch) then have an awkward bulky area that's 2 inches thick. That destroys the form factor, in my opinion. Not this LG TV! It's perfect. The price is unbeatable, especially now for the holidays. It's not fair to compare a tv like this to the OLED technology that LG is the leader in, but it is hardly noticible. The picture is bright as others like Samsung, so if you like an extremely bright picture, then just adjust the settings. I actually replaced my SUHD Samsung with this TV because the LG had a comparable picture but had much more modern look than my Samsung I'm extremely satisfied and I know you would be, too!

not happy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Blacks all bleed into each other unless I put the brightness up all the way. No matter what video setting I put it on there is a lag when the images move. Would bring it back if wife didn't throw the box out

Poor picture quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were pushed into this tv by the sales rep over an Sony HD tv for about the same price. This gave us a headache and we returned it for the Sony the next day.

Good picture, questionable connectivity
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV had a very difficult time staying connected to my router although other devices are attached to it with no problem. LG customer service could not help. Ended up having to get another router.

great TV but not on smart TV browser
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV is great but browsing on web is difficult. Unlike the SAMSUNG, you browse on LG using left -right, up-down arrows, NOT like just having a pointer similar to Wii technology. The SAMSUNG does.

Can't beat for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the tv on the 22nd and have been very happy. For $699 you get a nice tv...It' says 120hz on the box, most people who now about Samsungs and LG's know that the pure motion 120hz is really like 60hz on a Sony. I had a true 60hz tv before this and I can definitely tell the better performance of this tv. It does an excellent job at up scaling as well and Netflix in 4K looks amazing. I think the people who are giving it low reviews expected the same picture as the 75in 4k oled tv's for $3k that the store puts on display.

Awesome TV for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this tv during the pre black Friday sales. I wanted a budget 4k tv and was somewhat skeptical because there were no reviews at the time except for a couple on the LG website that were both 5 stars. Initially I was going to go for a 55" Hisense that Walmart had for a very low price but felt more comfortable paying a little more for a reputable brand. I'm very pleased with my purchase. The tv has a nice sleek look with the thin bezel. The picture is nice and colorful. It does require some tweaking out of the box. In my opinion the picture is somewhat dark, but setting the backlight to 100% and the picture on sports mode it seems to do the trick. The sound is great for a flat screen tv. Setting to the cinema mode gives it the loudest sound. There's also a sound option to choose between wall mount vs. using the stand. The WebOS is user friendly with some of the more popular apps preloaded (Amazon, Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, Vudu, Google Play & Movies) and others such as Pandora, that can be downloaded from the LG store for free. The remote is very basic which is somewhat of a turnoff but you can't expect luxury when purchasing from a bargain rack. Overall the tv is a big bang for the buck. The picture plays smooth without any lag. The viewing is great from all angles. There are a few negative reviews which I don't understand. It seems that some have given unfair reviews due to not reading the specs and features before the purchase and expect this tv to have the quality of a premium model. I would definitely recommend this to a friend provided they aren't looking for the bells and whistles of a premium tv. Another thing that some need to realize is at this time there is a scant amount of 4k content available and the tv can only produce the content in which its fed with the exception of some upscaling to higher resolutions. I've had no problems at all and this is an AWESOME purchase for $699!
