Amazing TV UNTIL IT BREAKS
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just over 2 years after having this TV it stopped working. When I go to turn on the light starts blinking like it normally does but the screen stays black. A google search for this LG TV and others that have a Black Screen of Death with show this is very common and happens around the 2-3 year mark. I've always bought LG products, but apparently their quality isn't what it used to be unfortunately. Loved my TV until today....

LG OLED
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As an owner of a TV production studio, I bought two LG OLED's (55" & 65") to determine if they could be used as client monitors in edit rooms. They did not pass our inspection as both exhibited color purity problems on the outside edges of the picture and extreme image retention after only 4 hours with a static test pattern displayed. They would be adequate for home use but I expect there are better alternatives, including the Sony Z9 series (expensive) or the lower cost X9 series..

Excellent picture but.....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I enjoyed this television until it stopped turning on which was 2 weeks into the ownership. Went to exchange it at the North Haven,CT store location after it stopped working and to say that this was one of my worst experiences in addressing this issue is putting it lightly. Their primary question was whether I was interested in purchasing the $500 extended warranty. I declined and then they told me that I needed to contact the delivery arm of the company to address the issue. I wasn't interested in using the delivery service as they were 2 hours late in delivering the television (I wasn't notified of a delay in the delivery until I called them and inquired abot the delivery status 1 hour after the 8-12 delivery window). So I had to carry the unit back home and scheduled a pick-up time. The pick up experience was a repeat of the delivery in that they were 1:45 late and I wasn't notified of the delay until, you guessed it, I contacted the delivery arm 30 minutes after the delivery window passed only to be told that they would be there within the next hour and a half. This isn't they way that a company attempts to retain customers and I had to think long and hard about this entire experience with this television that has a beautiful picture when it works. I understand devices have defects but customers should not be treated as if they are a defect.

Lot of TV for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first couple of weeks the TV was great, after I got a couple of upgrades. But now little bugs seem to be popping up.

Dissapointing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this based on Consumer Reports ratings. For the price,I expected to be blown away by the image quality but I found the picture to lack brightness while HD and Blue Ray content seemed grainy despite high quality HDMI cables. I have seen much cheaper TVs on the market with 4K capability. This one for me does not give the image that the price tag would suggest.

Low build quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My B6 oled after only 3 years the panel is going bad. Yellow content looks green. I've had 3 LG tvs in the last 10 years, all three failed me around the 3 year mark. I've never had a tv brand in my life prior to lg not last 8 to 10 years. I will NEVER buy a LG product ever again.

OMG...it is stunning
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love new technology, but sheepishly admit I know just enough about it to totally screw up just about anything I touch. Hence, I have a lifelong relationship with the Geek Squad. The technology in this t.v. is amazing. I don't know anything about the black and white level stuff, but the colors and crispness are vivid. Seeing it in the store really doesn't do it justice. The lighting is too bright in the store, and hence the settings are in store display mode. It was super easy to set up in my home. The picture and sound from the tv are great. However, I suddenly felt the urge to upgrade everything else in my audio/video cabinet to get the maximum effect. I immediately transferred my 5 year old sound bar to tv number 2, in favor of a new hdmi/4k capable receiver. Just plug the HDMIi connections in and you're good to go. The difference in audio and video is incredible. Who needs to go to the theatre anymore if your budget allows this kind of OLED tech available in your home? When I first set the system up, there was some weird white lines streaking across the top of the set. I went back to Best Buy with a cell phone video of the problem, and they suggested I swap my cable box for a new one, and buy new cables. After reading reviews on the high speed cables, I did just that and bingo.....no more problems. I'm totally convinced that if you spend a good sum on a great tv, you better not skimp on 20 dollar cables. That's like putting bottom of the line tires on a new Porsche. By the time the geek squad came out, I had the problem resolved. I'm still learning the ins and outs of the OLED picture. The smart remote drives me crazy and I've ended up programming a Harmony instead. It's going to take some experimenting down the line to get the picture how I prefer it, so I did buy the extended warranty, mainly because if there are any problems down the road with this new tech, they'll come to me. I transported the tv to my home by myself which was no small task for a woman.
