Best TV Purchase I Have Ever Made!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently decided to upgrade my old tv in the living room. I knew i loved the picture of OLED, but i didnt want to spend $2,000+ on a TV, so I started with a 65" Vizio P series. I loved the black levels, but the up-scaling was a deal breaker. I returned that tv and went for the Sony 850D per multiple Best Buy employee recommendations. Within five minutes of having it on the wall, I knew it was going back! The light bleed was terrible even with the lights on. With less than a week until the super bowl, I decided to bite the bullet, and blow my budget. I have had the TV for about a month now, and I have not been disappointed for a second! The black levels are unparalleled! The UI is user friendly, and controls all of my devices with only the TV remote. Upscaling for over-the-air TV better than i have seen on most TV's. If you are picky about image quality, black levels, and light bleed, this is the TV for you! Save yourself the hassle of returning multiple TV's, and just pick this set up!

Throw a curve
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first smart TV and first curved screen OLED. After 5 years of use I must say it's easily the best TV I've ever owned!.. Brightness, resolution, contrast, deep blacks, reliability and overall picture quality is tops. Also LG sends updates which download automatically as needed. I will not rate sound quality as I run sound via my surround receiver to my speakers. LG dc'd this technology and now offers it's new "Bendable" screens which rely on a motor mechanism to "curve" the screen. Just me but the only electric motor I'll trust related to a smart TV is the one to raise and lower it from the cabinet.

An Amazing Oled 4K and 3D TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I researched for a good while before purchasing this TV, it is a $2K big ticket purchase after all. It is stellar at 4K and HDR, but I was shocked to see it excel at 3D as well. There's minor issues like motion blur, but ultimately they pros outweigh the cons by a lot. No regrets here. It is also futureproof since it has Dolby Vision.

Great Picture Quality, lackluster motion
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased the 55" lg C6P and have had it for 2 weeks now. My initial thoughts were... wow, amazing picture and colors. Black levels are insane and colors are very vibrant. 4k upscaling is also very good for most programming. Blu rays look out if this world good. Negatives: The motion handling of this TV is noticeably worse then my old plasma. With the plasma, everything looked buttery smooth without needing to play with any settings. This TV is capable of looking as smooth with the aid of the true motion settings activated, but you then have to deal with some of the soap opera effect. It's a trade off that I find myself tinkering with constantly depending on the programming source material. Some shows and movies look great while others display visible judder. Overall though the amazing picture quality makes dealing with the dejudder/deblur settings worth the hassle. For what's is worth, I found true motion user setting of dejudder 2 and deblur 10 to be the best at smoothing out images while limiting the soap opera effect.

Best TV on the market
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This by far is the the best TV I have purchased so far. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is because setting up the optimum picture is a little complicated. A lot of websites will give you their interpretation of what the best picture settings are. I just followed what they had on the consumer reports site since they tested this line of TV's. I got this 2 days after Thanksgiving 2016. My first trip was to PC Richards because you can negotiate the price. Then again walking in to a PC Richards store is like jumping in to a shark tank. They literally hound you from the time you walk in the door. Don't even let the customer absorb whats on display. Then one of the awful sales people totally talked passed my wife and I just walked in to Best Buy in Secaucus and the sales person in the Magnolia section was great and I walked out with this beauty of a TV. The picture on this is crisp. The color black is actually black and the $1800.00 spent was well worth it. have 4 TV's in the house 3 of them are Samsung and this TV also beat every single Samsung 4K that's out there. Beat them hands down. When I hooked it first up I watched a couple of 4K dvds and did not even realize that I was actually watching it in 1080P because of a setting on the Samsung DVD player. So the upscaling does a very good job as well. When I finally watched a movie on 4K format it was out of this world. Paid a few $$ more than I would have at PC Richard but can't beat the shopping experience at Best Buy. Totally worth the small diff in price. Now it's time that LG actually made a 4K DVD player because I had no choice but to buy the Samsung as that is the only player out there

OLED Equates to Future TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start by saying I am not one to write reviews at all, I normally come to read a few here and there. This TV without a doubt is by far the best picture quality I have seen to grace a super thin display, yes the Display is that thin indeed. When they advertise perfect contrast they are not joking lol, the blacks on this screen are so black you will think your TV is turned off when indeed its actually powered on. Don't believe me, try it out :). Do yourself a favor and spend the little extra for the OLED, you will not be disappointed. Once you go OLED its hard to even go back lol. LG I've bought many Televisions over the years, your OLED is truly 2nd to none and you've made me one happy customer, Thank You.

LG Curved OLED TV has wonderful picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have now had our 55" curved LG OLED TV for several months and the picture is superior to any TV I have ever viewed. Most noticeable is the fact that this TV can be viewed from a fairly sharp angle without loss of color, brightness, or piciture definition. No other TV is close to this capability.

BEST TV AVAILABLE
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a new larger, clearer TV because of some developing vision problems. I returned again to Best Buy having purchased items there before; and was accompanied by two friends. Both I, and my friends, agreed that the LG OLED55C6P was perfect for me, and the picture was outstanding,. It was delivered and set up by the Geek Squad on 12/22/16. The installers were professionals and pleased me in every way. I have now been experiencing the best TV picture I have ever seen. To make the TV sound better, I will be purchasing a ZVOX 670 soundbase because this brand has a great reviews, and they offer "AccuVoice" which makes the voices in some programs and movies clearer for those of us that are having problems understanding them.. Of course, I will be returning to Best Buy to make that purchase, and will also get Best Buy's Protection Plan on this item also. I rate my experience with my LG TV, Best Buy, and the Geek Squad a "10".

Amazing TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture is amazing and the sound is very good. The upscaling of HD is fantastic and the 4K is lifelike. I haven't found HBO Go, Showtime Anytime or the Starz app in the store but that's a minor thing. The 3D works very well too. I would by another LG OLED TV.

When Only the BEST will do.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Am at a loss to come up with any new adjectives to describe the picture quality of my new LG OLED. Have been a Samsung viewer for over ten years and own three...one is over ten years old and still works...a Samsung 3D plasma I thought had best picture in the world until I got my LG OLED. Works great with my DirecTV and Samsung blu-rae 3D DVD player. Only issue with the LG OLED is built-in speakers are weak....thank goodness my old BOSE 3-2-1 system is compatible with the LG because those speakers provide great room filling sound. Am not one to allow technology to define my happiness however am very pleased with my purchase and BestBuy experience..

Excellent picture, 3D impressive, a few quirks
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this television to replace a 7.5-year-old 42" Panasonic plasma set, which was my first true high-definition television. I was seriously tempted by the 65" model but was ultimately dissuaded by the 50% higher price for 40% more screen area and 18% more screen width. I am now glad I picked the 55" set. I was able to assemble it and get it in place unassisted, and that experience convinced me that I would not have been able to do so with the larger set. Anyone hoping to install even this model singlehanded needs to be aware that the upper part of the screen is extremely thin; there are fewer places to grip the set while moving it than with older or non-OLED televisions, so it's a much easier job for two people. Having decided to go with the 55" set I was a little concerned that it wouldn't be a satisfying improvement over my existing set, which had excellent image quality. That turned out not to be a problem - even DVDs look a lot better on this screen. My initial installation routed the HDMI connection from a 3D Blu-Ray player through a receiver; when I switched to a 4K Blu-Ray player I initially used the same setup. That turned out to be a mistake, as the receiver (a Yamaha RX-V473) does not support enough bandwidth to display 2160P at more than 24 frames per second. I started watching Planet Earth II in 4K and was quite impressed, until I figured out that I was actually watching upscaled 1080P. After rewiring so that the 4K Blu-Ray player talks directly to the television, which forwards audio to the receiver, the HDR indicator came on in the upper right corner of the screen when Planet Earth II switched to 4K as it displayed its main menu. Upscaled 1080P was impressive; HDR 2160P is amazing. (And Planet Earth II is an excellent demonstration disk if you want to show off your 4K television to friends.) As for quirks: The remote is a pain to use in its default configuration. It is designed to be used as a pointer, so you use it to point at menu items on the screen and click on them. I found the pointer to be much too sensitive to movements of the remote; I fairly often selected the wrong item on the screen because I moved the remote too much in clicking the selection button. That problem is much improved since I found out how to configure the remote for lower pointer sensitivity. On the other hand, the remote talks to the television by radio, rather than infrared, so all its buttons work without regard to the direction it's pointing, which is nice. My 4K Blu-Ray player is a new model (LG UP970), and this television does not handle HDMI handshake with the player very well. There may well also be problems with the player, but the major symptom I've run into involves the television coming up with the screen blank and not responding to functions that should bring up an on-screen display. The first occurrence involved watching a 4K HDR show, ejecting that disk, and replacing it with a DVD. The television went through the expected sequence of displays until it showed the player's Play icon, at which point the screen went blank and the television was unresponsive. I ultimately had to power down the television completely (i.e., unplug it) to get it to operate normally again. Since then I have reconfigured the player to always deliver a 2160P signal and the problem has not occurred again. Finally, the LG TV Plus app for Android phones is something of a disappointment. I had hoped that it would let me use the Android keyboard to enter my Amazon Prime password; at that point I had not yet found the configuration setting for reduced pointer sensitivity for the remote. However, it still requires use of the television's point-and-click keyboard for password entry. It does provide a trackpad for pointer control, which may be a better interface, but I gave up on it when it didn't provide the function I was looking for.

The Best
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've always only Owned LCD/LED TV's and they were fine but never could get one that had perfect picture they would either have blooming or light Bleed Issues due to the edge lighting. I Decided to get this OLED Tv as they are finally way more Affordable then they used to be. This Tv has the best Picture I've ever had and the best TV I've ever owned. The picture Quality is amazing and perfect at all times even for watching Movies in the Dark unlike the Other Tv's I've had the picture quality deteriorated at night. I barely had to do any tweaking as for me the TV for the most part looked great out of the box. I have to this point not been able to come up with any complaints on this TV which is great!

Best Picture on a TV Yet, Amazing!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.OLED offers the best picture available on a TV and this model is one of Consumer Reports highest rated TVs ever. It is rated as the best picture possible (tied with other LG OLED TVs of various sizes). Out of the box is super easy but be careful in getting overconfident with how light the set is - you still need to be careful with the edges and should you need to lie it face forward/down (installing wall mount bracket). TV is easy to use individually or within a home theater setup. Speakers on TV set performed very well and much better than anticipated.

Best. TV. Ever.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am gobsmacked by this TV. I had read reviews and knew that it was highly recommended by CNET and other tech forums -- and that film director Francis Ford Coppola has gone on record with his support for LG OLED TVs. 1. Set up was a breeze -- a few connections, including hardwiring to the internet, and I was good to go. I linked my Netflix, Amazon, and YouTube accounts in minutes -- and those apps and others offered as add-ons have all worked flawlessly. The 4K content on YouTube, Netflix, and Amazon is growing -- and looks superb on this TV. Please be aware that you have to upgrade your Netflix subscription to 4K status which is an additional $2 per month in order to stream UHD4K material on their platform. You also need fast internet service of course! 2. The remote functions as both a standard clickable remote and also as a laser like pointer remote. Both ways work well -- and you can dismiss the "pointer" feature easily with a simple click. 3. I do not have Cable or live TV -- so all of my viewing is either from hard media -- or through internet streaming services. 4. The image quality on this TV is breathtaking -- it upconverts HD content, blu-rays and regular DVDs so that they look much better than before. And when I stream or load UHD4K content, the image takes on so much depth, definition, detail, and color range that my TV becomes a window -- you really do feel as if you could reach out and touch what you are viewing. Simply breathtaking. 5. The curve is really attractive to my eyes -- and I wanted a 3D TV before they all became ultra expensive and/or were discontinued. 3D content has thus far looked great -- although since this is passive 3D, the TV has to be level with your eyes for the 3D to work property. You may have to tilt and/or adjust your TV accordingly. The curve is slight and becomes invisible when viewing material -- except to somehow enhance the depth of images. At least that is how I experience the curve. 6. I've encountered absolutely no negatives with this TV -- perhaps the single best electronic, home media, piece of equipment that I have ever purchased. Wow.

LG OLED55C6P is the best 55 inch TV out period
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been researching 55-65 inch TV's now for months. I looked at every offer from all the major manufacturers. No one comes close to the LG OLED line. The OLED55C6P is the best TV out in the 55 inch category period. When set up properly the TV has an unbelievable picture. 4K Dolby/HDR streams from Netflix are breathtaking. I look forward to coming home from work to watch the TV, its that good. The curved model also has 3D which is also incredible. The wireless portion of the TV is lightning fast. It has to be streaming 4K HDR/Dolby and it does it without ant hiccups. My previous TV was a top of the line Plasma from Panasonic (their reference model) This is a fantastic TV that kills every LCD out to date. When compared to the OLED55C6P OLED it was like night and day. The OLED55C6P picture blew me away. I can guarantee you that if you are looking for a TV has the best picture and feature set, look no further than the OLED55C6P.

Awesome set
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After a month of owning this tv and having it calibrated, i have to say the picture is amazing. The only problem i have is hd cable. Still looks good but with the upscaling whatever is in background becomes blurry for a split second each time a scene changes. Other then that blu ray, 3d, games, hdr, 4k looks phenomenal. If your just looking for a tv to watch cable on, i would get a diff one, but if your big on games and movies like me, this is your pick.
