Good picture till everything goes wrong
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tv didn't last a year. Horizontal flickering line appears on my screen and the screen itself will flicker black with a distorted rainbow look. I sent in three repair request and lg never got back to me. Never buying lg again.

Avoid LG
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV Stopped working after 14 months. PSU, T Con Board, and Motherboard all changed out and still doesn't work. Normal use and kept very good care of. LG says its out of 1 year warranty so I'm out of luck.

Great TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just purchased this TV and got it setup and i was blown away by the picture quality! I also have a Sony X850 65" and thought that had a great picture, but this is just a top-notch picture even though it's the base model OLED TV from LG. The Magic Remote takes only a few minutes to get used to. After using it for a while it's a lot easier to get around in menus than a normal remote. I haven't tried out the Alexa or Google Assistant features yet to see if those work well. Only had the TV for a day, but already wanting the 65" OLED for the family room to replace the Sony X850. Had to purchase with the additional $140 gift card I received! If you're looking for a 55" TV this will be the best picture especially for a darker room setting!

Great picture, but behind on Smart TV features
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really expected more from a TV that costs this much. First, some positives. The picture is great. I also like the stand the TV comes with, as it allows the TV to sit on top of smaller platforms. This is the primary reason I bought this TV, as the cabinet on which I must sit this TV has a smaller platform for the base, and most other TVs have legs that are too wide. But if you have cut the cord and stream TV, this TV is very disappointing in the options it provides. It does not allow you to setup an app like YoutubeTV as your start up app. When you power on the TV, it immediately looks for an input, and so you get the loud fuzzy screen unless you have a set-top box or something like a Roku stick. Every single time you power up. It seems Sling TV might be the only streaming service you can avoid this with. This is really mind boggling to me. Samsung does not have this issue, it starts up on the last app or the nice home screen. From what I can tell from online forums, LG has no plans to address this issue, which would seem to be very easily fixed. I find this rather ridiculous. Next, the apps available are way behind Samsung. The big ones are available - Netflix, Prime, YTTV, Hulu, Disney+. But if you want NBC Sports Gold or ESPN+ or B/R Live or apps like that, you are out of luck. Samsung offers all of these.

Gat a warrantee
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased a 55EG9600-UB LG OLED from best buy over 3 years ago. Great tv until it died. Had a technician in who replaced the main board. TV went bad again 3 weeks later. almost $240 later and I still have an expensive brick. So I reiterate. Buy a 5 year warrantee.

Remote control badly designed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: The image is OK for an HD. I can easily hook my laptop with theTV. Cons: Changing Chanel on this TV is almost like an impossible task and take forever. LG really did a terrible job designing this. It is incredible complex. If your cable station is a little away from the TV then forget it, the remote control is almost impossible to use and most of the functions do not work. You also need to have paranormal powers to understand what the designers/engineers of this TV were thinking when they designed this system and remote control functions. Since TV, and cable, programming sucks, being able to easily change Chanels is the most important function on a TV. Save your money, time, and patience. Get another brand.

No good after 3 years
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture and function of the tv is amazing, however it’s done after 3 years. I bought geek squad warranty that expired in January and tv is bad in March. So they said they could not help me. Lg also told me they couldn’t help me either. One thing that was interesting is that you can buy a 5 year warranty directly from lg for half the price of the geek squad. So there goes 2 grand.
