Best tv I’ve ever owned
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did a lot of research before buying a new tv. All the reviews of this model said “it’s the best.” They weren’t wrong. It’s thin, the picture is gorgeous and the UX is wonderful. I love the magic remote. It makes traditional remotes feel old and silly. Built in airplay and HomeKit support is a surprise bonus!

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been saving for 2 years and it was well worth every penny best picture of any tv that have ever had . My Grand daughter and I was watching national geographic and saw a Siberian tiger she said it looks like you could reach out and touch it . I walked up in 6" of the screen and it was still crystal clear !!!

Good Buy
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my 55" OLED TV. It's perfect for my bedroom. I also have the 65" OLED as well and it has been money well spent. I did plenty of research prior to my purchase and have no regrets. I did buy LG sound bars to go with since the sound from the TV alone isn't that great.

Better than I imagined
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great TV. I've had it for a month and it looks great. I still get excited when I turn it on. Picture is amazing. I kind of wish I had got the 65". I figure I will be upgrading to 8k in a few years anyway so I feel the 55" was a good choice.

They say an amazing picture...and it really is!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.OLED produces a stunning picture as advertised. Enjoying various streaming services with 4K. Have connected an LG sound bar and Bluetooth subwoofer and they are working well too. A little tricky to connect panel to its base yourself out of the box. Overall, a fantastic TV and highly recommended.

Beautiful visually but prone to audio problems
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fabulous picture, but very disappointed in audio capabilities. I use external speakers (via optical output to my DAC and then to my Meridian preamp (all via PCM stereo setting in TV), and have had sound “cut out” problem since I first got the TV set. From reading reviews on the LG customer support forum, it appears that many people have been experiencing this problem - going back to 2017. It may depend to a degree on the chip in your DAC (DACs with ESS chips seem prone to the problem, according to some comments), but other owners are having the problem using HDMI connections and not even using a DAC. In any case, from comments posted on the LG community board, LG is well aware of the problem but can’t or won’t fix it. Meanwhile, I have always noticed a slight lip sync problem. But despite having three different ways to adjust for lip sync problems (in my preamp, in my Roku box, and in the LG audio settings), no combination of adjustments will get rid of it. Bottomline, a beautiful set physically, with a remarkable picture, BUT the audio design has been problem-ridden in my experience. Whether it is a “crappy” chip, poor audio circuitry design or manufacturing, who knows? Probably would work fine if I just plugged it into an LG soundbar, but this is not the type of TV set that a “soundbar person” will be attracted to. Bottomline, LG should spend some more money on designing a better audio circuit. One that is jitter and/or dither-free so that those of us who want to use the optical output can take advantage of our hi-end audio systems?

Great picture and easy setup.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would recommend this to anyone looking for a midsize 4K tv. A nice Widespread viewing angle for those who have to sit far off center. Very good value for latest technology and size. Easy to switch between apps (Netflix, Prime, etc). Not as impressed with the pointer since it needs a very steady hard to use.

Great LG 55" TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought the LG 55" TV for our family room downstairs. The TV we had was struck by lightning and all 4 HDMI TV hookups blew on it. We own 2 LG televisions and really like both of them. The Smart TVs are wonderful and the Picture quality is very crisp.

Excellent TV Room Viewing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture and smart features on this TV are great. Can't say enough about it. I've never spent this kind of money on a TV before. So was extremely wary of being able to see the difference. I could see the difference. This is high quality and works well with internet streamers and cable alike.

Beautiful picture
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow! This tv impressed me in-store, and even more at home once I got it set up. It’s pretty heavy, so I’d recommend two people to set it up, but boy is it thin! Not only are black levels amazing (it is OLED, after all), but the crispness and color gamut is mind-blowing. Definitely worth the price i paid for it.

Great picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this TV, has a great picture. We are having issues with our direct TV on this TV. For some reason direct TV doesn't recognize the HDMI cable. Not sure is this is a direct TV issue or the TV issue. Direct TV has not been able to fix the problem so we are thinking of changing services.

Great Picture!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really have enjoyed this TV so far. Best Picture I have seen. I had to work with the sound a bit but once settings were adjusted sound great. Really have to say great tv. One thing, the LG sound bar will not fit (too large for under TV). That would be the only drawback. Need to get a new sound bar.

Awesome TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the 2016 model and this is vastly superior. From load times to options it’s great. Obviously the beat picture you could ever ask for. Gaming, movies, or TV. It’s the best tv on the market.

Great companion for your Ps5
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this tv. I been wanting an OLED tv for quite a while and finally decided to pull the trigger. The colors and blacks are stunning! I pair up my Ps5 with it and they work perfectly together. The tv automatically detected the playstation 5 and is displaying in 4K HDR.

Amazing TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can tell you right now, if you are debating on an OLED, UHD, QLED, and etc, get the OLED. This LG is paper thin, blacks darker than night, and color more vivid than a rainbow. Side Note: If you want to experience this tv to its max potential, you will want to calibrate it.

Incredible picture!!!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow, wow, wow. Daughter accidentally broke our old tv, and due to Covid, there weren’t a lot of replacements in the $500-$700 range we were going to buy in. Decided to splurge and don’t regret it for a second. The picture on this things bears the pants off of everything else. Love it!!!

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture is killer in almost all modes. Tons of great pairing functions for my cable box, receiver etc and a killer app station. Voice control etc is just all great. Best tv I have owned and I’ve only just started cracking the surface.

Great TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was my first smart TV. Not only is the picture outstanding but we found the sound to be great too. The smart TV has apps for streaming as well as “LG Channels” which is essentially more free streaming content. Very pleased.

Amazing picture. Best gaming OLED.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So what if it doesn't support Freesync, it's still some top notch input lag. Also, I'm actually a fan of the TruMotion effects. Makes everything look more realistic and sharp. Except for animated stuff, then it looks like way to high FPS, that's when I toggle it off. I know that Dolby Atmos is always going to be lossy for streaming. If you're going to get a 4k Blu-ray player and also use a soundbar, make sure to properly research first to ensure eARC support. I got the current years model soundbar as a combo deal, and I'm not holding my breath for LG to push an update to enable 2.0 eARC for it. But this is my fault for not researching beforehand.
