Wanted a new larger TV to replace my 10 year old plasma. I did not want the restricted viewing angle that most LED TVs have. OLED is the modern equivalent of plasma and delivers a beautiful picture. Beware, however, that, like plasma, OLED TVs can suffer from image burn in. It was never a problem with our plasmas, so I’m sure it will not be an issue with the OLED. Instructions were sub par.

I literally could not say enough good things about this television. The LG C9 is a beautiful looking unit, with amazing black levels (since it’s an OLED) and the 4K picture is flawless with brilliant colors and great contrast. The only quirks I could possible see would be that the unit is SO thin that it does feel unnecessarily fragile. I didn’t need it to be that thin since it’s going in a full entertainment unit, but for some I could see that it would matter. The base is very solid and stable although we did have to watch a YouTube video for how to get it slotted into the TV. Although this is the 2019 model, the CX is the 2020 model with minimal upgrades so we saved the extra money to get this unit and like I’ve previously stated, I cannot say enough good things about the TV. Love it.

One of the best purchases. I went through the gamut of 4K TV's and at the time of purchase summer of 2020 this was the best one I experienced. I mostly play it for gaming on my PS4 which is perfect for me and the movies I do watch is a whole new experience. These OLED TV's are far superior for my needs than any LED. The tech is better for gaming and movies IMO if you can afford one of these. Highly recommend and looking forward to the next gen in 2022! I have over 6000 hours of use and no burn-in at all. I do not leave it on all the time and never leave it untended and it shuts off after about 10-15 minutes of no input. It's crazy how nice the experience is.

This OLED TV replaced a Panasonic 1080P Plasma Smart TV as our primary screen. The LG OLED is the first TV I have found in the past 8 years to have a picture quality as good or better than the Plasma. Not only is the picture quality excellent, the sound is pretty good without adding external speakers. LG's webOS provides easy, fast loading access to streaming content.

I purchased this TV to be my main gaming TV. LG recently released a software update making this TV G Sync compatible with Nvidia RTX graphics cards, meaning that I could finally have variable refresh rate on a TV! This greatly enhances by reducing/eliminating screen tearing and stuttering not to mention being able to get then most from your graphics card by being able push from 30hz to 120hz refresh rate, and anywhere In between while maintaining a smooth picture. And all of this doesn’t even mention the fact that it is an OLED, making it have the best picture quality already! Superb for watching Netflix and other shows in 4K HDR and Dolby vision as well. Truly the best of both worlds.

By far, LG OLED TVs are the best out there at the moment. Sony OLEDs use some LG technology so they are pretty good as well, but usually more expensive so I just go with LG; plus Sony usually has some lag issues for gamers (although the 2019 model made great strides in reducing the lag). As always, if you want the best, figure out how to mess with the color settings for the room your in and for what you plan on using it for (movies, gaming, sports, etc). Although, just out of the box is pretty awesome for the average person. The streaming apps are nice too but I usually just stream via my PlayStation, but the TV streaming apps are super easy to use.

This is my second 55" OLED by LG. The first one was a B series I bought in early 2017. This one is a C series. The new one is brighter, even sharper contrast, better audio, the color is richer, and just better in every way. Amazing what a couple years and an upgrade in series will do for you. If you can afford an OLED (the prices continue to drop) there is really no other type of TV to consider. And myself, I prefer the LG over the SONY (only two OLED manufacturers). I think the LG remote control is so much easier to use.

I bought this tv because my 10 years old tv in the basement stopped working. My old tv was connected to my ps4 and I needed a tv that will be capable and ready for ps5 when it comes out. The picture on this tv is really amazing. I'm surprise i waited that long to buy me my first 4k tv. overall, I have no issues and I highly recommend this tv for those who want a little more brightness and a beautiful liquid image. You will fall in love with this tv and forget that it cost $1,500 the same day you take it out from the box.

Does a great job improving 720p and 1080i content from Xfinity. Streaming Dolby Vision and HDR10 content from Netflix is where it really shines. Blacks are truly black, and colors are magnificent. Skin tones are accurate and not over saturated. Paired this with an LG UBK90 to play Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision. Watched Season 1 again of Game of Thrones in Dolby Vision. WOW WOW WOW. Better than any TV I’ve owned including Panasonic plasma.

Had an 8000 series Samsung for about 6yrs and it started banding and colors were going. Did my research and decided to make the switch to OLED. And who better to go with than the pioneer, LG. It’s only been a month, so time will tell. My only concern has been burn-in. Ended up getting the protection to be safe. Don’t regret my decision and the picture I get speaks for itself.

I have YouTube TV and I'm always watching basketball games, or netflix, and occasionally use the tv as a monitor for my PC and play NBA 2k, WoW or MW on it. So far it is stunning. The colors are insane the HDR works on my computer too so it makes even Minecraft look stunning. My favorite feature is the Google assistant as I'm all about connectivity and I can command it to turn on and play a specific show on Netflix without ever touching my remote or moving a finger. I would say 9/10 because I feel it is a little overpriced when compared with other great 4k non oled TV's the jump is huge. Like a x950 is about 1200 then this is 2500.

I purchased this about 9 months ago to replaced a 11 year old samsung. I was apprehensive about spending so much on a television but wow, it is so impressive. The picture is so good it makes me notice flaws in any other television I am watching. So clear and crisp and awsome colors. I love the LG interface with the magic remote. I have mine plugged into an ethernet cable and stream everything and it runs flawless. Paired with a Sonos ARC sound bar recently and the clarity of sound is so good. The price is definately high but it is the best television picrure I have ever seen.

LG TVs are a rare product where you get what you pay for. LG has hit it out of the park with the C9. My expectations are exceeded. Dolby Vision and HDMI assures me I’m future proofed, and gaming looks incredible in 4K and HDR. But LGs tech that smooths gradients and shows reference coloring is stupidly good. If you’re looking to spend $1000 + on a tv anyway, go all the way and get the best.

My old 4k set side on me a few weeks ago, and with the ps5 coming out this year I wanted a tv that would work best for that. I picked this up for full price and even though I didnt enjoy the price, I love the tv. The colors are amazing, and the picture quality is superb. I'm currently playing horizon zero dawn on it again and wow, it is almost like a new game when compared to how my old 4k tv looked. Seriously get this tv.

Upgraded to this one from the LG OLED C9. There are some nice quality of life upgrades here with the menus/on-screen display. Picture quality is just amazing, and it's hard to imagine me buying something that isn't OLED again (that is, maybe until micro-LED screens become avaialble and affordable). Also can't wait to put it to the test when the Xbox Series X and PS5 release so I can try out 4k 120hz gaming. Overall -- we are very satisfied and will use this until it decides to no longer work.
