It feels as if the scenery and the people are in your house. Amazing vividness. I won't be watching any scary Halloween movies.

Loved tv until burn-in began to show. News tag line for multiple stations overlapped all the time. Central panel color distortion, green. Pixel refresher doed not correct. Best Buy should replace item. Problem emerged around a year after purchase.

DO NOT BUY AN LG OLED TV ! THEY ALL HAVE SCREEN BURN IN. This is my TV. ALL THE GREEN IS BURN IN. They all have it. This TV is a year and a half old, less than normal wear. It's off all day during the week. I bought it at Best Buy. I have the receipt. It's only on nights and weekends. They told me it's not covered

Out of the box, this tv was amazing. Big fan of the thin screen, very stable base. I was blown away by the quality when playing Xbox. However, by day 5, I had vertical black lines across 2/3 of the tv. Best Buy is swapping it out for a brand new one since I’m still inside the return period. Much better option than losing it while the Geek Squad attempts to fix it. The new one is getting delivered next week (not sure why such a delay, but at least it’s new), so I’ll be sure to update this review when I reach day 6 with the next one. I’m sure this is a rare case, so hopefully the next one lasts longer.

    Died in 1 week...returned

Picture is amazing, sound is great, and OS is exceptional! Then I got a black screen with a vertical red line. As I was searching the internet how to fix it the red line turned white and then the tv shut off...it never turned on again. That was eight days into owning the tv. I called bestbuy and they said to return it. Loved the OS so much I still went with LG and got the NanoCell 9. OLED is beautiful but the tech just isn’t there and I wasn’t going to chance $1500 for another dead tv. NanoCell isn’t a fair comparison to the OLED picture but it works great and our family loves it.

The TV has preformed well, but we now can see the title of a news program at the bottom of the screen. It is very distracting when watching a program.

In spite of two visits, the rempte does not function properly. I expect the geek squad to be back next week to try again. Very frustrating, especially given the cost of the TV, speakers and remotes.

Best Picture Since my 2006 Panasonic Plasma

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

My dear 2006 Panasonic Plasma (paid $3,600.00) finally died last month , and while I have a few LCD TV’s of varying quality in my home, I’ve been underwhelmed by their picture quality to date. My LG55C9 OLED puts my plasma to shame! Yup, it’s really that good! PROS: Picture quality, brightness, black levels, color accuracy 4 HDMI Ports 2.1 , 3 USB ports, Optical Out, Ethernet and 1 RCA Video In port make this TV AV friendly. HDR/Dolby Vision quality really shines when watching shows like GOT Season 8 EP 3 “Battle of Winterfell.” The detail, inky blacks and color processing is second to none! Sleek looking design doesn’t hurt my feelings a bit. Features several unique tools to minimize screen image retention which can eventually cause burn in. CONS: My only criticism is the very poor LG setup instructions for putting the stand together. Ugh! Schematic included in directions was worthless, and sadly, setting up the very industrial fashion forward stand took longer than the picture calibration I performed post setup. BOTTOM LINE: If you’ve ever owned a great plasma TV and found yourself watching LED/LCD TV’s feeling underwhelmed, the LGOLED55C9 will solve that problem for you.

The best TV I've ever owned!

Absolutely awesome TV! Bought it in 2019, now almost 2025, and still works perfectly. Still getting regular updates from LG for the WebOS and apps. The OLED TVs are outstanding for picture quality, response time (great for video games!), contrast, and brightness. The Dolby Vision capability is a missed feature from the Samsung I just bought a couple days ago. Next TV i buy will be another LG for sure!
