Not worth the investment
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Frequently glitches, reflects things on screen even when in a darker room and the color only looks significantly better when looking at nature shows. Also high risk of burn in given the high # of channels that leave their logo on screen - CNN, HGTV, most of the religious channels to name a few. Maybe the quality is better for gamers. If it wasn’t for the Covid-19 outbreak I would have returned it already. I bought it in March and plan to return it within the next week or two as returns are only accepted through the end of this month.

Tv picture was terrible—
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture was distorted and the dark colors were blue tinged and fluorescent —-we called the Lg customer service line and the tech took over the tv and after much effort agreed the unit was a dud— very disappointing especially given the care needed to set up this tv based on warnings concerning how fragile it is— The good news was that the manager at Best Buy responded immediately to pick up the tv and refund our money— she deserves a raise and a day off—-next time I will buy a Sony

HDMI PORTS STOP WORKING
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.2 years after purchase, suddenly all HDMI ports stopped working. Warranty expired. Did all troubleshooting LG customer service suggested, which means motherboard is bad. $1500 on a TV that lasted 2 years??? I have cheap brands of TVs in kid's rooms that function perfectly after 7 years, I paid $200 for.

Pay no attention to reviews comparing to recent tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from a 2013 top of the line Samsung 2013 model. So any review that compares last years model to this year's model won't be helpful. If you have a 4 to 7 year old tv and you have the budget for this tv there is no question that you should buy it! The black levels are amazing. The contrast and HDR modes are crazy good. The best part of this tv is that it is semi future proof with its HDMI 2.1 and eArc. I know that I tolerated not upgrading fast enough from the last cycle of tech, but I'm sure I will get at least 5 to 7 years out of this tv.

DON'T BUY LG!
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the second time trying to post a review. If you value reliability in a TV and customer service, do not buy a TV from LG! I have waited over four months for a warranty repair, and will have to wait until May 15th for the other part to arrive. This is the last LG product I will ever buy!

Simply the best #1
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Alright so I see a few reviews on best buy that make no sense like the lg c9 missing one app and someone gave it 2 stars that's just ridiculous. I got the c9 after getting the Sony a9g just like a few others. I can completely say honestly the c9 is better. My motion tests proved its just as good as Sony. Hockey was beautiful with an amazingly clean screen ice sparkled and was very bright. I didnt notice any abl except of course on commercials with the whole screen being one color. But a color covering 75 percent of the screen I saw no abl meaning hockey and other content isnt an issue. Sports is great on this TV. The color is outstanding I did calibrate my TV and its accuracy was killer. The brightness of the oled will never leave you wanting more. The blacks are super deep of course yet seem richer then I remember on other oled TVs including the Sony. This TV produces and extremely accurate yet rich image. It can produce a very natural image especially on technicolor expert. It can also produce and extremely colorful image on other settings. It doesnt lose saturation at the top end like most oled TVs do I never noticed it actually losing any as crazy as that is. Its noise reduction guys I ran the test over and over again and it may be the best I've ever seen on any TV when turned on. The reason why is it barely takes any detail away less then any other manufacturer. It also actually cancels out noise in a major way to the point where most of my content is almost noiseless I can safely say it is now ok to use noise reduction on this TV. You qont miss much detail if any at all and get the cleanest image you have ever seen from lg. The panel is the cleanest I've ever seen on an oled. The c9 has almost no macro blocking I've only seen it happen once and it hasnt flashed yet. The Sony a9g had alot of macro blocking for some reason and flashed often. Lg is now at the top of the pack also if your thinking this is lg from 3 years ago your sadly mistaken and any true enthusiast would tell you the same. I'm impressed everytime I turn this TV and for the price right now it truely is the best oled out. Its has hdmi 2.1 13 ms input lag and of course instantaneous response time. If your thinking about getting an oled ai feel the lg c9 is the first choice to loom at bring your own usb stick with your own content to check our tvs and yoy will see what I'm talking about mess with the settings find what you like. As you can see alot of people were getting Sony just because it was Sony I was the same. I have now realized others have caught up to sony and I actually prefer the c9 more in almost every single area.

LG OLED TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The two 55" LG TVs are still boxed and sitting in my apartment. I have no idea how good they are and Best Buy is not helping. These TVs were bought at Boulder CO store on 9 March 2020.

Ultimate In quality Television
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Full disclosure, I am an employee at Best Buy. I ordered this Television on Saturday and the Geek squad delivered and mounted my television and did an amazing job. I am coming from a 55 in c7 lg Oled which was amazing. This has the same great quality but the extra processing really makes a difference with motion and the subtle color differences really improve the viewing experience. Setup is super easy(I did not let the geek squad do that as I am picky) and it recognized my DirecTV box right away. Being that this Television is not currently on display yet as of this review, I can honestly state it looks better than the c8, and it's equal to if not better than Sony's A9f Oled. ONE THING I WILL RECOMMEND, IF YOU DON'T GO WITH THE GEEK SQUAD SETUP MAKE SURE YOU DISABLE AUTO POWER SAVING, AND WHEN SETTING UP, DONT FORGET WHEN PROMPTED TO HIT NO ON KEEPING VOICE GUIDANCE ON, THAT'S ANNOYING AS ALL HECK.

Exceptional Viewing Experience
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hands down, this is the best TV I've ever owned. I used to buy only Samsung, but now the quality difference between OLED and LCD is incomparable. Very easy to set-up and I'm looking forward to the airplay 2 and HomeKit updates this summer. Easy integration with my Apple TV and I like to Google Assistant integration.

The best oled to date
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the a9g right off the bat because of the hype behind Sony. I do love Sony also but when I got it I was dissapointed. It was very dim compared to other oled TVs to date. I didnt see the value because of the festures it was lacking compared to lg. I ended up returning the a9g after I went back tot he store with my own USB stick with my own content. I watched both side by side for 2 hours and in literally almost every scene I preferred the lg c9 this just shows lg has now caught up and even surpassed Sony in ways. Add in the fact your set for future features like hdmi 2.1. People dont truely understand that 2m1 even fixes issues displaying regular native 4k content. Did you know 4l content takes over 20 gbps and our hdmi 2.0 only do 18 gbps some really only 16 gbps. Did you know native 1080p content takes over 17 mbps and again most of our 18 gbps hdmi cords really arent even 18 there more like 15 or 16. So just keep that in mind hdmi 2.1 does more then people truely understand dit isnt just for 4k@120. So add in the fact it has hdmi 2.1 and input lag of 13 ms. So yeah I mean it literally beats the aony a9f in almost every area even the upscaling was just as good. Also keep in mind it actually displays Dolby vision the way it should instead of allowing the app to process it like Sony does for some odd reason. This truely is in my opinion the best TV of 2019 for festures and performance and for the price you just cant beat it. Outstanding job lg you did fantastic. Cant forget the operating system it's the best of any brand and I think we all know that by now. So there is just so much going for the lg c9. This is also the cleanest display lg has ever released excellent uniformity almost no banding superior above black performance I haven't seen any macro blocking and the noise reduction is top notch it's a home run

Super nice picture. Ok remote.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No one will complain about the picture on this tv. The remote could be better. May biggest complaint is with remote there is no previous channel button. That may not bother you. But it is something I really miss. And on a T/V of this cost you would think it would be included. Next up LG. Your Guide menu is mess. And finally just put play, fast forward, rewind stop buttons on the remote. If I could I would give this T/V 4 1/2 stars. But I cannot. So I'll give it the 5 star because the picture is great.

Best Picture In The Market Except.......
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, OLED tv's have without a doubt the best picture quality in the market period! I'm still impressed till this day how phenomenal OLED's are! That said, I've had my E series OLED for 2 3/4 years (not even 3 years old) and I baby sat (which I absolutely hated) that tv to the point where my wife thought I was crazy and STILL GOT BURN IN despite the fact that I never left the set on with a channel logo more than 20 minutes and constantly swithched to different content afterwards! It was really frustrating! I did buy the Best Buy extended warranty (which I highly recommend as it covers burn in and LG does not) and Best Buy did the right thing by sending a technician who confirmed the burn in and BB reimbursed me for the amount (comparable) I spent for the tv via gift card to buy any set I want. I considered buying the C9 and really wanted it because no one comes close to the picture quality of OLED but I decided that I no longer want to baby sit a tv anymore. I can't enjoy it and am always worried about burn in. If you don't mind babysitting the tv, you won't regret buying this one as long as you get the Geek Squad extended warranty. Just make sure that you ask if it still covers burn in which it did last time I checked but companies constantly change policies so better to be safe than sorry. Good luck!

Outstanding
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The C9P Series is fantastic. Huge improvement over the EG9600 series of 4 years ago, albeit the curved screen was nice. The 55" C9 has superb screen uniformity, a blazing fast processor and magnificent 4K output - no matter the source. Waiting on the the promised firmware update that is supposed to improve performance even more ... but LG stinks at firmware support ... so I'm not holding my breath.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So good in everyway. The wand remote is interesting. Connecting the tv and remote with my surround sound system was a hassle but that was more the system than the tv. Overall: highly reccomend
