Feeling the Burn
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.May not be as user friendly as a Samsung, but the OLED produces an amazing picture quality. The reason for the poor review is the burn in. Once it’s there you can’t not notice it. If you watch a regular news channel the banners will occur (ie CNN Breaking News). I’ve had mine for only two years. Lg will not replace their defective product and you are out of luck unless you purchased a geek squad warranty. I didn’t get the warranty as I assumed Lg wouldn’t sell a premium product with such a major issue.

Very good TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very nice TV. After watching it today for the first time I am not sure that I can really see the difference between the OLED and LED TV enough to warrant the price difference.

Great picture...too fragile
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best tv picture I’ve ever seen but way too fragile...the tv got a small crack from one of the kids barley touching it...the tv does not work at all now.....I’m pretty sure a non-OLED tv wouldn’t have cracked...I had the tv for 6 months and I purchased the geek squad protection and it was still under manufacturer warranty. There’s nothing lg or Best Buy can do...and all tv repair shops and lg said the repair cost is more than the tv itself. I understand accidental damage is not covered but why would anyone get it fixed when replacing the screen is more than the tv itself.......there should be some sort of accidental damage coverage option for at least the first year when spending so much money on a tv. If your on the fence because you have small children I would pass. Now I’m out $1400 and have to buy a new tv. Will be going cheaper until better protection plans are offered on more expensive TVs

Stunning Picture for a Disposable TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Right out of the box, this television had the most amazing picture I had ever seen. It lasted about two years before screen burn-in become too distracting to watch. I contacted the customer service team at LG. They took nearly 2 weeks to respond, confirming the television had burn-in which is not covered by warranty at all. They offered to give me contact information for some local repair shops - but there is nothing to really repair as the screen is essentially a sheet of glass. So my gorgeous LG television will help fill up a local landfill. I’ll replace it with LED from a more reputable company.

Consider Sony,
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.THE PICTURE IS VERY GOOD, BUTTHE REMOTE CONTROL INTERFACE IS QUIRKY AND DIFFICULT TO USE. BUY A SONY. Overall implementation and apps are superior to LG.

grr.. design!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tried a Sony A9G oled tv - the stand is so low that a soundbar blocks the lower part of the screen. Decided on an LG C9 oled - and the stand on THIS puts the tv too low to place a soundbar in front of it!! And wall mounting is NOT an option. Why can’t the manufacturers tv design teams coordinate with their soundbar design teams so the products would actually work well together?! So now we settle for an LED tv that we CAN use a soundbar with.

Fine but burn in .....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought a 2017 55 inc after much research . Read the stories about burn in and hoped for the best, Now 2 yrs my fears became real , my unit has burn in when the screen hits red or yellow colors . Just started to see it all other colors are fine . For 1500 bucks this shouldn't happen . I would not buy another one til LG admits to this being a problem and address it. Research before you buy.

Significant burn in
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased 2 years ago and burn in started within the first 6 months. It is now very significant. The worst is when there is a single color. The whole bottom half of the tv has channel logos and areas that have had letters. Reviewers mention it but say it shouldn’t be a problem. That’s correct if you don’t have the tv past several months. Will not purchase again.

LG OLED.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the OLED 55" EF 9500-UA model along with the LG warranty. However, after 2 yrs I got 'burn-in' but according to LG, it's not covered under their warranty. I complained until I got a new screen free of charge. Now, 'burn-in' has returned and they will not replace the screen again. A new screen alone costs $1,000 so it's cheaper to buy a new tv rather than repair. I paid $2,999 for mine and will NEVER buy another LG product. You have been warned! Now I will go with Samsung as they will guarantee NO 'burn-in'!

Died after 3 horus
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very disappointed. Setup the TV and left it on. Came back 3 hours later and there was only audio screen was dead. Worked with support to troubleshoot and ended up returning and getting a Sony Bravia instead. The LG is almost too thin and difficult to maneuver out of the box. Sony setup was a better experience.
