I've been eyeballing OLED TV's for years but never pulled the trigger because of the price, but after my plasma went I decided to treat myself and I'm glad I did. Not only is the picture out of this world but the sound quality is so good I'm considering removing the soundbar I had purchased because of the "tinny" sound quality on my old TV. Now I'm not saying these speakers are better than some 3.1 or 5.1 systems out there but man they're good. The installed apps work well but definitely more responsive with a hard-wired connection as opposed to wifi but that's to be expected. In summary, if you have the cash buy this TV. You won't be disappointed.

So I decided it was time for a new TV for my room but I am spoiled with my OLED in my family room so I was not about to settle for a regular 4K. I am in love with this 55” LG OLED. I love the Google Assistant and with the magic remote I can control my Xbox One X and I have no need for Apple TV because now they have AirPlay so I can watch from my phone without having to spend a lot on a wire. I highly recommend you spoiling yourself with this TV, you won’t regret it, worth the money you pay for it. WebOS is very user friendly.

I own the LG OLED 55B6P, and this C9 blows it away. The HDR actually works, which I love to game with. Picture quality is the best out there. App functionality is great.

Picture is great but some other quirks

The picture is nearly flawless. I was worried about glare from high windows in 2 story living room that don’t have blinds. There is a glare but acceptable so far. Menu and layout of some options not intuitive, labels stupid and take up way too much room on the screen. Magic Remote is finicky can be a pain. I never understood why hdmi ports so close to side of TV. Most people hang on wall and cables come from behind and you don’t want to see them- have to make a sharp turn to get into port. Last thing you want is that bend sticking out the side and cable visible. It’s Like the manufactures don’t understand how people actually set up the TVs. The ports need to be moved to the center at least 3-4”. I have 25’ cables coming from a cabinet and gauge is hard to make that bend. Don’t want to use a port saver as some render cables useless or minimize pass through features. I haven’t yet figured out how to customize the picture settings (not intuitive) so will have to delve into that later. Preset modes are decent but need to fine tune. Wish it came in 60” as 65” would be too big for above the fireplace. After a week I’m satisfied this was the correct choice vs Samsung Q80.

We just had our new LG OLED 55” C9PUA series 4 K smart tv installed. The installation crew arrived in time and did a fantastic job installing the tv on the second floor in our bedroom. When they finished and turned on the tv, the color and details blew me away. We have another LG OLED 65” downstairs and this new one is by far sharper. We might just have to replace it with another C9. We have looked at others, and LG is the OLED to go with. Best Buy has the best prices and the delivery and installation is first class.

The picture with this TV is incredible. Depending on the resolution of the source, it looks as if you could walk right into the TV and be with the characters. It is as if the picture is 3D with depth to the scene. Even when the source is of low definition, the OLED TV compensates and makes the picture look much better than an LED picture. It does not make every source look like high definition, but when compared to and LED picture any source is upgraded with the OLED TV.

Picture quality is superb and this TV supports a lot: Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, eARC, HDMI 2.1, 4K @ 120Hz, VRR, ALLM, Nvidia G-SYNC, and low lag/response time. It's perfect for gaming and will support advanced features in upcoming next-gen consoles like the Xbox Series X and PS5. Out of the box it is very thin and fragile so please be careful with setting up, especially if you're wall mounting the TV. Also recommend running multiple HDMI 2.1 cables to the back of the unit in advance and/or purchase a soundbar that supports HDMI 2.1 / eARC and pass all devices through it on HDMI port 2. Keep in mind that the soundbar needs to fully support both HDMI 2.1 and eARC if you want all of the visual and audio enhancements. Another item to bring up is that this OLED TV currently does not support PCM multi-channel support but LG has officially announced that this will be introduced in Q2 2020 on their support site. This will be beneficial for those with Xbox One X as it currently does not correctly pass Dolby Atmos content from the Xbox One X, through the OLED TV, and output to certain soundbars or audio receivers.

The blacks are really black on this TV. You can't tell if it is on when there is "dead air". It is great for movies and gaming. 4k is great. 4k and HDR is better!

This TV looks so good the wife said, “ Get a bigger oled (77”) for the living room. I don’t care how much it cost”. We have a Panasonic VT50 and I believe the motion is better on plasma but the 4K and HDR make everything else SO much better. I also like that it has almost no bezel. We have hung this on the wall in our bedroom. Also the remote is able to control my cable box and Roku simplifying it to just one remote. Ironically all of the apps we use with Roku are available on the LG TV. We haven’t bought the second one yet because of the price difference between the 65” and 77” models.

My old TV died after being in service for 10 years so needless to say it had been a long time since I had done any TV shopping. I went to Best Buy to see what current TVs offered. A sales person asked me what features I was looking for and what kind of lighting I had in the room for the TV. They made a few model recommendations including this LG OLED. Of the recommendations I felt this LG's picture was best. I went home and read some online reviews and all gave high mars for this LG. I pulled the trigger and bought the TV and after a month of ownership I am extremely pleased with my purchase!
