OLED is awesome and this TV really pushed the boundary of picture quality. The contrast is amazing and all the tech built into it is really nice. Great for movies and especially gaming!

This TV is absolutely worth it! Gaming is incredible. Movies in 4k are stunning. Colors are vivid. I compared this to other TV's, and models, and this one kept coming up on top.

The quality is absolutely amazing. It has pretty poor value unless you're gonna use all of the additional features. And even if you do, in like 8-9 months there will probably be offerings with the same feature set at a lower price. The TV menu settings are really good. Using the magic remote is amazing. Getting the base on was kind of a pain because of how heavy this thing is. Also the weight is awkwardly balanced down at the bottom instead of evenly throughout the panel. So if you plan on attaching this to a mount that pivots you'll be affixing it a lot closer to the bottom of the TV, which will make it sit higher up than maybe intended.

Well worth the investment. Everything looks very crisp. Blacks are black. Thinner than a smart phone and magnificent detail. I’m able to get 4K 120hz no problem on my gaming pc.

Excellent gaming TV!! Very impressed. No tearing or lag. Replaced my older Samsung 3D 1080p TV that had been a very reliable workhorse over the years but this TV blows it out of the water. I didn’t know what I was missing until I setup and started play on this TV. Beautiful colors, no halo effects on a mostly black screen, graphics are smooth and crisp, blacks are deep. Would recommend to anyone looking for a decent priced TV with excellent options. Sure there are cheaper tv’s on the market but you won’t get this level of performance from them so definitely worth the money if you are willing to pay for quality.

(my 2nd OLED) I purchased as a Wedding shower gift. If you have control over the lighting in your viewing room and can make that area ‘dark’ (think movie theatre) … then you will have years of pure cinematic experiences! This OLED is so different than any prior large screen that you might have had, that you will find yourself watching your old movie favorites multiple times! You will swear that the movie is a different version you never saw before. Newer 4k format streams will leave you speechless … Get the popcorn ready, the friends you invited over for a movie may just never leave …

This is replacing a 2~3 year old LG OLED that ended up having serious burn-in. It got to the point where I could not take the burn-in on my old OLED anymore - which at the time I bought it I was not aware it could happen. I now refuse to watch anything with static images (like news channels) for extended periods of time and any devices that goes idle I have it go into screen saving as fast as possible. That aside, I LOVE LG OLED TVs. So many people comment how good movies look. I also am very happy it has the artwork screensaver, as I put that on when listening to records from my stereo :)

You already know it's a good TV. You know it's the best. You don't need this review. That being said I can comment on the gaming capabilities. G-sync works flawlessly and I haven't had any burn in issues yet in two months - and I'm playing MMOs and strategy games on this thing, games with static HUDs that you play for hours. Not a single issue so far. I got the 5 year protection plan anyway as it does cover any burn in issues, but be smart and you should be able to circumvent them without issue. The only downside I have is that the TV does not pass through 5.1 sound from PC to ARC. Works for consoles just fine though.

This is far and away the best TV I have ever purchased. I replaced a high end plasma and I was worried about the “artifacts” that many LEDS have but I have not seen anything yet that gives me concern. OLED is worth the extra dollars. The contrast is as advertised, deep. Live sports look amazing, esp hockey. 4K movies are incredible. It’s the closest to a 70mm “in theater” experience I have ever seen. The sound is sneaky good. I was fully prepared to buy a sound bar but I don’t think it’s necessary for most of the stuff I watch. There are a ton of stock picture modes and limitless customization options.

Absolutely love this TV. I use it mainly for gaming on PlayStation 5 and Xbox series X and this tv goes hand in hand with next gen consoles. All hdmi ports have 120htz , has instant game response, flawless response, I absolutely love the color& contrast this TV produces and sharpness. I’m in love with this TV it’s totally worth the money. Do not buy a QLED Samsung QT series TV it looks horrible I had bought one and instantly took it back and got this one and it was best decision I could have made. Spend the extra money and get blown away with this TV. Also movies and TV looks beautiful on this TV!

Sheesh where do I get started with this tv, I have never had a 4K in my life however, this could be biased. This tv is absolutely insane, the colors, the smoothness it can achieve, and the refresh rate make it a wonderful gaming and movie watching machine! Quite a bit of customization can be done which left me overwhelmed so I just use the presets haha, I’m sure everyone will find it easy to use however. I am very satisfied with the outcome of the tv! I’ve had it for about 2 months now and so far absolutely no issues with it, running like it was fresh out the box!

The most striking feature of this 55 inch tv is the beautiful depth of colors. It makes tv viewing, streaming and especially gaming more enjoyable. It has most of the features gamers would want - instant game launch response, VRR with Invidia G Sync, 120Hz refresh rate and 4 HDMI 2.1 connections. Looking forward to pairing this tv with the Xbox Series X when it launches. The screen itself is very thin so extra caution when attaching the stand is advised although we had no problems.

I always wanted a oled tv, this one is the right size for my man cave. Paired with the xbox series x and this tv is incredible. I have watched many movies on it as well and they are all stunning. If I have one complaint its about LG’s updates; every time there is an update I lose my E-ARC to my sound bar. To fix this I have to change my location service to unknown then back to U.S.A and it starts to work again. I honestly do not like the magic remote much either, it kind of reminds me of a Wii controller.

I am using this for a computer monitor. Pros: Contrast and dark levels are the best. I like my monitors as dark as possible to minimize eye strain. Cons: -The screen is so shiny I often see my reflection. - For multiple reasons, this cut off the edges of my display. First, the HDMI cable was confused. This cable worked fine with my other 4k TV. Second, you have to turn off both pixel shift AND quick start in order to see the remaining ~5 pixels around the border. Why does the TV continue to run pixel shift when it is turned off? - resolution is only 3840 × 2160, not 4096 × 2160 like my previous TV monitor. - Why have a super-thin TV on top when the bottom half is 1.75 in thick? It makes the TV fragile and difficult to move but it does not have the advantage of being able to flat-mount it against a wall. - The worry of burn-in is a consideration. Only will time will tell how much an issue this will be. - The "no signal" message is annoying. I have not been able to change it or make it simply go black.

I bought this TV to be a desktop monitor for my gaming PC and to use with work when I'm home. As long as your able to get a good 3-5ft distance, this TV is spectacular. The built-in G-Sync technology works with my video card (RTX 3080) and the picture quality is beautiful. I dont play competitive FPS but the 120 hz refresh rate is working beautifully. I played COD seamlessly with no issues, and any RPG/MMORPG is stunning. This TV is PERFECT.

We have other OLED TVs from LG, so choosing the 2020 model was easy. Great quality picture and lots of ports for connecting devices. We picked up this TV around Thanksgiving and ran into a lot of issues with RTX3000 series GPUs. The firmware has been updated over the past few months which improves it drastically, but VRR is still a bit flakey. Running 120Hz with HDR without VRR works great, but also needs g-sync disabled on the PC/console side.

I upgraded from the 8 series because of the HDMI 2.1 and it's support of 120Hz refresh rate because I use this as a computer monitor in my bedroom. The options in set-up have increased in 2 generations and the improvements for gaming are significant. The picture quality is just fantastic!! I was very happy when I upgraded to the 8 series over my Panasonic VT60 60inch (still going strong in the living room). This generation continues to impress with blacks (although a little black crush is still evident), motion, and color depth. I LOVE IT!!

Replaced a 42” 15 yr.old plasma. The upgrade at only 55” was a good choice for basic apartment, and I don’t regret passing on the 65”. Packaging and unboxing was well thought out IMO, stand up, undo straps, lift off upper carton, rem. foam blocks, chk inst. follow steps to assy., and its upright quickly ready for wiring. (ONE ISSUE I had, was assy of two pc stand. ALWAYS chk fit and test screw holes. Very precise lineup of two parts with no adjustment. The fine thread screws were NOT going in easily. Be PATIENT or you will strip them! Thought about using a fine file to open holes a bit more, but finally got both started and seated. 15-20 extra min, no biggie.) Great picture and detail especially in true 4K content (Disney+/mandorian) my ref. Used! The internal speaker was Better than expected (as I thought it would sound like listening to your cell phone on speaker-Not.) I Got a JBL 9.1 soundbar (nice), and I switch to TVinternal speaker for live news and such where I want clear speech w/o extra surround sound in Atmos filling the background. (Preference-keeps things a bit quieter overall in the apartment) Unless your an expert at connectivity, don’t rush the “initial startup sequence” and be sure you understand your selection of items needed to get best settings and content you may want after. Do quick search’s on your smart phone when your not sure.- (I missed something during registration the first time, and could not log in for a few days until I finally started over DIRECTLY on the TV to get it corrected. Could not get it done online at LG even with a chat, though they showed it reg. at their end. My guess, is that the tv has a specific code/fingerprint that must be acknowledged electronically during this step which you must accept or save as you confirm data input.) After that things began to get easier (for me), with the use of everything. Remote, (kind of a marvel how it does so much) takes getting used to of course as you have to learn where and when to select items, but again be patient and experiment with it when you have time. That is also why I stressed the initial setup so your selections can be less stressful to navigate to! Content (ie: YoutubeTV as one item) has its own set of navigation within your remote, so this creates a bit more to learn but again, experiment! It will fall into place unless your last tv was made in the 80s! Then I suggest you call the geek squad to help!

This is a very nice TV. I think the picture is vibrant and bright. The problem I have with ALL led tv's, is that they ALL tend to be slow with the refresh rate and response rate, causing the TV to go between blur and focused much to often, in comparison with what I am used to. I have 3 PLASMA tv's and the clarity is much more enjoyable to watch than any LED, OLED, or Ultra LED tv I have watched. Plus the blacks and contrast are better as well. I am one, who sure wishes the PLASMA TV would return to market. I will try to keep my 3 plasma's as long as possible.
