Overall great tv, but..
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have one issue with this TV and that is to get it to power on and off you seemingly have to hit the power button 666 times and sell your soul to the devil and it might grant you the mercy of cooperating. Otherwise a good tv.

Not Happy
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all, the power cable is super short and not conducive for a wall mount. You would need to get an extension. This threw a money wrench in my Super Bowl plans. Secondly, while the image is fine on Blu-ray, on Comcast, it’s very laggy, pixelated, and I felt like my 1080p Sony looked better and could handle the image perfectly. It’s like this tv can’t keep up with the data feed. It’s a high speed hdmi, so shouldn’t be the cable. The bulk of the tv I watch is cable, so this won’t work for me. I’m sad I switched and I’ll likely return this and go back to my old Sony. Disappointed!

LGCX OLED55 sound broken and blacks washed out
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV has a good picture quality for most part, but the blacks are too black, with movies, but almost unmanageable for video games. I returned the first LG CX 55” OLED because the sound was cracking and distorted on many movies and games during action scenes! Now, I thought I just received a damaged tv but, I got new Replacement TV home, same exact model, same problem with sound! I would not recommend this TV

Nice visual quality but issues with sound
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall I’m “happy enough” but would not buy another lg oled tv based on the sound issues that have arisen only a few months after purchase. Sound disconnects, gets fuzzy, or miss matches the tv. After resetting to factory settings the tv is working more normal and seems to be tied to a recent software update. For the price, amount of work that went into problem solving, etc, I would pass on buying this tv and recommend another brand.

Dead Pixels
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m saddened by the fact that such a gorgeous TV could have dead pixels in the display, straight out of the box. I wanted to love this TV, because the image quality is so lovely, but it’s got such a fragile display, it’s not worth the money. I went with a Sony X-900H, instead. The Sony has a nearly comparable image, with a lot less fuss and a much better overall package- not to mention it being 1/3 cheaper.

Super buggy… nothing but headaches
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beautiful TV with amazing picture quality and built-in speakers. However completely ruined by constant app crashes. Airplay dropping in and out. Frequently the tv will refuse to run any apps at all until it is unplugged and reset. Its cool if you like OLEDs; but your money is better spent on anything else.

Not worth the price of admission
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not sure if it is just my unit, but banding and performance issues are rampant. For the price I expect premium performance.

No Internet Connection
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the 2nd LG tv I’ve purchased the past few years. Both have the same problem. The tv and the apps stop picking up the internet connection. I have the tv connected by Ethernet and then tried to connect by WiFi. Neither work. My router is sitting next to the tv. I will not buy another LG. If I can get any satisfaction from LG I’ll be looking at a Sony.

LG "Un"Support
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have no problem with the tv itself. All the boxes get checked. I'm leaving 1 star because of the LG support (or unsupport as they will now be referred to as)for the Xboom PL5 Speaker promotion they're running. I reached out to LG because I bought my tv a few days before the promotion began (note that they were running this promotion in August as well). LG unsupport was quick to reply, dismissing my question about whether it would be possible to receive a speaker since my purchase was a few days prior to this promotion beginning again. Their reply looked like a generic reply from a bot with a link to the promotion, as well at the terms/conditions. Gee thanks LG for that link because I don't think I could have found it on my own smh. So what it boils down to is they're fine with me spending $2K on a tv but will I be able to receive a free speaker lol. But hey I can return the tv, get my store credit, then go buy another tv and then they'll let me get the speaker I assume? Better yet I can return it and go with a Sony like I started to do that day in the store.

Not good for sports
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this mostly to watch movies, news and sports. I use YouTube TV through Apple TV 4. Movies on Amazon prime are decent but not much better than my 5 year old Samsung LED. My biggest issue is with picture quality when watching sports. It’s awful, definitely worse than my old Samsung. I would probably consider returning the tv if it wasn’t such a pain move.

Do not buy LG oled
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.LG CX oled was a great TV for 2 years until the main board went bad and cost $650 to repair. My 2 Sony Bravia TV’s are still going strong after years of use. Tried LG after salesman recommended it. Never again buy LG.

Worked for a while
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very nice TV, for a while. TV failed after 2 1/2 years. Seems that a $1400 TV should last longer than that. Have to go shopping again and won't likely be looking for an LG.
