With the most recent firmware, the CX now supports 120hz with hdmi 2.1. Gsync enabled prevents screen tearing when using a connected PC, too. LFC is also utilized when playing a console game that dips below 30 fps. Best picture quality on any TV I’ve ever owned and this is my 3rd 55” and 2nd 4k. Beautiful in a lit room and mind blowing in a dark room. Gamers switch to “game mode” on your console’s input and you’re all set. On the fence for this as 9th gen console gaming tv? Don’t be. Buy it. You’ll have no regrets.

Absolutely stunning picture. You know when you go into the store and one of the TV's sticks out as having a picture so clear that you just stare at it for like 30 seconds? This is that TV. Blu-Rays look awesome. All the streaming services are beautiful as well. My only regret is that I got the 55" instead of the 65". The picture is so clear that I want to see it on a bigger scale. Also love the remote and the UI. All around great TV.

First, the picture is excellent, good selection of inputs (although only one is ARC) but could use at least one more. I am highly annoyed at the remote. I have Fios cable and the remote has no way to bring up the Fios menu. As such, you also cannot control the DVR part of the cable box. No start button for the recorder, no way to see or play back what you have previously recorded. You have to use something like a Harmony 665 universal remote or the Fios remote that came with the system. I also find the on-screen cursor too sensitive, without any way to control the speed, unlike a real mouse. No lights for a dark room and the layout is clumsy. So, knocking down the TV one star due to a poor remote, You are struck with multiple remotes or some tricky programming of a universal remote.

Have had this TV for couple years now. Overall it's a great picture, the Menu's are a bit funky to work thru to get the best picture for your environment. I don't think the TV Tuner for OTA signals is quite as good as other brand's in my house so that is only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. Have exact same feed on two TV's sitting next to each other in Man Cave and this one can be pixilating when other major brand has no issues. Cables are run exactly the same. Overall not a bad choice but might have went with different brand now that technologies are similar. If you have Cable or Satellite, OTA issue probably doesn't apply, but for us cord cutters it's important. Streaming via Netflix good via wireless 2.4g and works well long ways from router with good internet connection.

Finally changed from Sony to LG after over 25 years. Bought the LG 55cx & its awesome, great picture. I’m a cord cutter, so I’m capturing local ‘ota antenna signals’ & the picture definition is sharp/defined. Also i have some streaming apps. I added the LG SN8ya soundbar & fyi, you must use a 4K ultra HDMI cable!

Replaced my old 42 Vizio that I bought way back 2006 from Sears (it was time) with this LG OLED and wow the best TV ever. Picture and sound perfect. Lightweight too. I give it 5 Stars !

2 year later and gaming with the PS5 you couldn't ask for better setup
