Hands down best TV under $5000, check Rtings.com
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did massive amounts of research on this TV. It is compatible with HDMI 2.1 for 4K 120 HZ streaming. I was in a dead heat between the LG CXPUA 55inch, Samsung’s Q900 and Samsung Q800t (both 8K tvs). Samsung and LG have discontinued LCD production globally as of end of 4th fiscal quarter 2020. Samsung will also be transitioning to QLED-OLED called “QD-OLED.” Based on this I chose not to buy the first and second gen 8k’s. Also if you check Rtings.com, the LG CXPUA is hands down the highest rated and best tv under $5000 on the market right now. The picture is awesome, go to a Best Buy and look at it. If not just check the ratings on CNET.com and Rtings.com, COVID-19 is an issue. Please stay safe!!! As for Samsung, the 8k models have some complaints with panel failures, screen tearing, and dirty screen effect problems. Also the Q900 is from 2019 and might not support HDMI 2.1 (instead might only be software adjusted HDMI 2.0b). Samsung wont admit anything about this. I even read the instruction manual for that model and they dont make any mention of HDMI 2.1. People on forums are complaining about that, so I didnt buy that model. HDMI 2.1 is a must (at least 40-48 Gbps transfer rate). This is solely for PS5/XBOX Series X. Lastly, there is not a great deal of 8k content and as for PS5 and XBox series X, they are targeting 4K 60/120hz for gaming. This will be the case for atleast this year. I might still buy another tv (8k), just waiting for the systems and if new models are released as a result of the new game systems. For now, buy this TV if your looking at it. Its awesome. The picture is spectacular and Best Buy will price match! One last thing. The tv fit in my car (mid-size sedan with seats folded down) box and all.

Outstanding, better than i hoped for.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been waiting and watching OLED to get to the price/performance i want. And boy this CX doesn't disappoint! I hooked it up to my PC and played 4K HDR video, 4K HDR version of Control - with G-SYNC. I chose 60fps 4:2:2 12 bit. Cant push it higher until there are video card with HDM2.1 (or DP1.4 to 2.1 convertors). But when they are available it will make this unit sing. Shows in 4k look great too, and I was surprised how good the built-in speakers are. It has plenty of connectivity, all HDMI ports are full speed, it support BT4 and airplay and wireless display protocols. In a word, perfect.

Nice OLED TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a gorgeous 55' OLED TV with crystal clear quality and very black blacks. I am able to broadcast my computer to it wirelessly, and control it with the remote. The only issue I have is with the remote: It doesn't light up in the dark. I ended up getting some glow in the dark stickers to place near the volume and channel buttons so I can see it in the middle of the night. Also there are times when just touching the remote slightly turns on the TV when I am not looking to turn it on. All-in-all, great TV and recommend!

It’s a fantastic tv
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv is awesome! It has hdmi 2.1 and can do 4k @120Hz for xbox series x. VRR is also functional which is better than competitors. SDR looks great and HDR is stunning. I am also able to connect Bluetooth headphones to the tv which is awesome. My only issue is the 40 gbps chipset compared to last year’s 48 gbps C9. Thankfully, the xbox series x also has a 40 gbps chipset so no worries. There is some flickering on older xbox titles and a slight gamma shift when VRR is enabled. I view these as minor as most content looks amazing. Beautiful tv.

ecellent all around tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am coming from a Panasonic 55" vierra 1-80 dlp. This tv is night and day. i bought it for my new ps5 Xbox series x gaming setup. The picture while watching Netflix or amazon prime video is amazing. So many options and settings you will be able to find tun your viewing. Psy games like the last of us 2 look excellent to a point it looks like a new game. The remote has alot of buttons and can be a little confusing if I had to say a downside. I love that all my tv apps except for kodi are installed on the tv. The sound is excellent out the box.

LG CX-Worth the $
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been very pleased with the purchase of the LG CX (55"). I originally purchased the Sony 900H based on positive reviews in order to save a few hundred dollars. However, I found that the viewing angles were horrendous on the Sony. LG's CX display, on the other hand, is crisp and vibrant at any angle. The perfect blacks can't be beat either. In my opinion, it's worth the relatively premium price over other TVs.

Best TV Ever
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can't say enough about this TV. It is the brightest picture with the most contrast I have ever seen. It is especially great for watching sports. The only drawback is that the picture is so sharp and the contrast is so high that when you're watching a movie it looks like you are actually looking at the characters live in a studio. It does take some getting used to. And with its web operating system you can literally stream anything you can find on a computer. I'm still having to educate myself on using all of the options.

Gaming Heaven!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Oh man, what a display! I read multiple reviews saying that this is the best gaming TV money can buy, and they are all true! Vibrant color, black as night, and 4K detail like no other. 120hz on Xbox Series X is unbelievable! The remote has a sweet redesign as well. If I have to criticize, it would have to be about the user-interface. It has the typical cluttered LG UI, lots of pointless fluff. But that absolutely DOES NOT matter in the slightest when the display is this beautiful. Best gaming TV I’ve ever had. Buy it!

A truly amazing TV... but nothing is perfect
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV has blown my mind from the start. Out of the box everything looks great but after calibration this TV has taken MOST of my chosen entertainment to new heights. Let me start by saying I bought this TV with next gen gaming in mind. I have had a Xbox Series X since launch day and I have tried it on a number of monitors and standard LED TVs, this TV stands out as the greatest among what some would an “extremely saturated” market. Gaming at 4K 120fps is something you have to see to believe and when you slap the color accuracy and the contrast between piercing white lights to dark and deep blacks there is NOTHING that can beat this TV on the market today (without spending the equivalent of a down payment on a brand new home of course.) I say all this praise of course, but this TV doesn’t come with its flaws as well. Since it is an OLED, the peak brightness cannot rival that of the Samsung QLED counterparts which brings me to my next topic, reflections and HDR. If you are contemplating purchasing this TV but have windows on the opposite walls or even in the same room (depending on your viewing angles,) then you may want to look for another, more bright TV as this is more reflective than a man who’s been stuck in self isolation by himself for all of 2020. Jokes aside, the TV practically turns into a mirror for anything that shines bright and if your in a room where most of your TV viewing time may occur during the day and you have a lot of windows, or lights, then this may not be the TV for you. Same goes for HDR, since the TV has a peak brightness of 700 nits (if I’m remembering correctly, I’m going off of memory here,) this means that the brighter scenes may seem to sort of blend in the higher white points, something that doesn’t happen as much in tvs that have higher peak brightness. While this doesn’t effect me as much since I don’t watch movies that contain scenes where most of the frames are different shades of white, it’s still something I feel I need to mention. In conclusion, this TV works great for just about any Avenue of entertainment. Whether it’s movies and shows, or gaming and production, this TV will blow away most people capable of viewing it in a dark and secluded room. Thanks for reading. :)

Great TV, OLED is as advertised
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This OLED TV is great, a very nice upgrade from the local dimming LED I had before. As advertised, the contrast is amazing, and really gives images a great pop. The level of detail is also great. The WebOS apps work well also, although I use a FireTV Cube with it for the voice control. The built-in voice assistant features aren't as useful because you have to push a button to activate them. TV has worked flawlessly, no problems so far. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase. If you can afford an OLED TV, this is well worth it.

Best TV I’ve owned
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hands down the best tv I’ve ever owned. Bought a Black Friday tv 55” for $200… my wife hated the interface and the picture was not the 4K quality it described. I was excited when she said she wanted it replaced, I had always wanted an OLED just from what I had seen in the store. Just like every tv purchase of my life, if it looks good in the store it looks even better at home. The blacks are amazing and truly enhance cinema films. There is no crazy backlighting that stripes the screens.

I did the Research nothing beats it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this TV I have a B9 and did not think the picture quality Could be better till I got my CX. I was thinking Of getting a Samsung but never like the over saturated colors. Was thinking of the Sony but paying more for almost the same quality didn’t appeal to me. But when I heard the CX was the best for gaming. I’ve had great luck with my B9 and play games. And my CX is better. I also had my LG Oled B9 for over a year with hardcore gaming and Movies and never had any signs of burn in. It was worth it

Stunning Picture, Easy Setup!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This LG OLED has the best picture I’ve seen right out of the box!!! Fast access to non-network sites such as Netflix, Apple+, CBS All Access, Disney and more. The remote is a little disappointing. Too many small buttons make this a challenge to navigate, especially in a darkened room. And almost impossible without glasses. Otherwise this set is a winner!

OLED unbeaten
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first OLED TV and I have been blown away at how good the picture quality is in comparison to the last QLED TV I had. The deep blacks and contrast is simply amazing and impressive. Saw that the TV dropped in price to 1800 and decided to get this over the C9. I think it was a good purchase overall.

best TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was going to get a new Samsung Qled , when looking at the 2020 line up of Samsung was not Excited about it , Samsung put their new technology into 8K , Way we can`t get a lot of 4K content so way 8k and you need a 65 in or bigger to get the full effect of 8k. ok now the LG OLED , if you can only get a 55 IN This is the best you can get , now Sony makes a 55 in and i think Vizio is coming out with one soon , but all use the same panel from LG , Sony looks a little sharper on the picture but i did not care for the online android apps on the Sony , so went with LG CX , best decision , does everything great , picture is bright and crisp , all HDMI inputs are 2.1 and can do 4k same TV just have 1 or 2 , sound is fantastic for a TV . is this LG CX 2020 Perfect nope but as close as you can get , plus your 4k ultra HD Blu-ray look like 4k , so the best TV you can get in a 55 in ...

Love it!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve owned this tv for two months now and overall it is a great tv for gaming and binging. the 120hz works amazing for my xbox series x and the crisp picture quality is phenomenal. highly recommend this tv for anyone looking for a good next gen gaming tv to last several years although i would recommend buying a warranty in case of burn-in issues if you do play a lot of the same games and for many hours. it may be a bit pricey but overall you’re paying for a top notch quality product.
