The OLED hype is real!!!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received my CX last night and WOW!!! It was easy to program, especially after watching video's on best settings for each mode. Before I took this TV to my bedroom I assembled and programed the TV in my living room and compared it next to a UHD. The Colors popped and were so clear and detailed that I feel as though I've ruined watching TV on anything besides an OLED. Every single color was brighter, and more detailed. For example a basketball player had green shoes on and both TV's allowed me to see that however, the LG CX allowed me to see the tread on the bottom of the shoes and the laces at a completely different perspective, and the CX was 10 inches smaller than my UHD. I'm not trying to put down my UHD living room TV as it has a great picture and has been a great TV since day 1, and i'm very happy with it's performance, that is why i'm not posting its brand, because I would not be comparing apples to apples. What I can tell you if you take the leap and like me have never experienced OLED before, be ready to be amazed. In addition it was very easy to program and was happy that all four HDMI were at 2.1. Was nervous about spending a few more hundred dollars for this TV as compared to some other models, but after watching it I have no regrets and couldn't be happier with this purchase. Unfortunately, I will need to start saving now to be able to replace my other non-OLED TV's throughout the house.

LG 55 CX TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very happy with the picture and Web OS. So far everything is working great! I originally was going to get a less expensive TV and looking at the TCL and Hisense. Then I decided I would just get a Samsung since that is what I have had success with and many other people have as well. Upon further research I was convinced the OLED technology offers a better picture. Upon receiving the TV and using it for a few months I could be happier with the picture and the ease of use of the OS and remote.

LG UI + OLED = Amazing Device
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best TV I've ever owned, hands down. Every is great from the picture quality, to the UI. LG is doing a great job with their software. The magic remote is so much better to use than the older traditional remotes and it pairs very well with the WebOS UI. Of course, it's a TV and at the end of the day the thing that matters the most is the picture quality and this TV excels. OLED is so much better than regular LED. I've had this TV for over a month now and I still get wowed every time I turn it on.

Great tv - maybe best of 2020 so far at the price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent blacks, filmmaker mode makes for smooth pans without the weird overly smooth movements of actors, and great interface. The relatively affordable tv (in the grand scheme of tvs) is the one by which all should be judged at the moment. As a longtime Samsung buyer, Lg really hit the mark here. My only fear is the thing is so thin it feels breakable, but the picture is great and even the sound is strangely good without a soundbar. The magic remote is also the best in the industry.

Unbelievable quality for 'cheaper' price
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is absolutely incredible. Afters hours of research, decided this was the best tv that wouldn't feel like buying a car and I don't regret a single thing. FANTASTIC quality, easy set ups and settings for quality, automatically changes based on what you are doing (gaming, movies etc). Perfect size for a medium living room. In love with this tv. Got it for black friday with geek squad so I'm set for the next 5 years

Amazing Picture!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my grandmother who had an old Sony from who knows when. She wasn't super impressed at first until... she watched Game of Thrones. Her mind was blown at how good the picture quality is. She actually went back and watched reruns because she missed action going on scenes. I only gave 4 stars because of the lack of an in-depth manual for the remote. I think for as much as you pay for the TV they could have support for setting it to work all buttons from a DirecTV remote, at least have support online for it.

Ive got nothing its Perfect
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv is without a doubt the best tv money can buy it can be used for almost anything even computer work like for video editing or photoshop, its perfect for games, movies, shows, and sports it really helps since every HDMI port is HDMI 2.1 so 4k 120hz is not a problem if you have a PS5, Xbox Series X, or even an PC gaming rig with any RTX 30 Series GPU's I dont regret spending the extra money on this tv and neither should you if you get the chance

Good Product but the overall experince needs help
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall picture is great, product is great, however were the experience fall shorts is the software/applications experience. There is a learning curve to getting the overall experience top notch. So many options so many choices, it is over whelming. The product ships with a lot (like 300) of ip tv channels installed. The difficulty is getting rid of them. Not interested in Pluto TV. Each one of the channels not interested in has to be deleted so if I am only interested in 5 channels that is 250 individual deletes. Yuk. A better experience would be to have a remove all ip channels and add only the ones I am interested in. The experience between Google Home and LG ThinQ application needs improve. One app with all of the functions and features would be great not two. It is also easy to lose your way because of accounts and authentication. Not very smooth.

You have never seen true HDR until now!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've only had my CX for a few days now but WOW. Everything pops off the screen!I'm truly in love with this TV. I was weary about everyone talking about oleds and IR or burn in because I'm a gamer but this was the only choice for my with it having hdmi 2.1 with VRR and freestyle coming later this year.i do want to buy a new sound bar but I was amazed by the sound on this tv!.if your like me get this! Grab the geek squad protection if your worried about burn in since it's covered.

Console Gamer Approved
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works beautifully as a gaming TV so far. Xbox Series X and the TV have few disputes as far as image configuration went. My biggest issue so far has been, occasionally, the input fails to pick up the "instant game response," and you have to toggle the power or input. Updates may have patched that though. I do, however, wish it would come without "smart" features. I don't need TV apps. Word of caution: it is heavier than it looks, always team lift it.

Maybe The Best TV Out There
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first TV other than a Samsung I have owned in the last 12 years. The switch from a 2015 QLED SUHD Samsung to a OLED LG, was the right move. The colors are amazing and the viewing angle is better than the curved Samsung QLED TV I just replaced. Setup was very easy but the only thing I would say is unfortunate is that with a new Smart TV comes a new version of WebOS, WebOS 5 for this TV. What that really means is that all the apps have to be re-created to work with the new OS for the TV. In time I know they all will but as I right this HBO GO is not available but Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu and many many others are ready for download. I do not have a picture available but I did wall mount the TV with a PERLESMITH TV Wall Mount #PSLFK1. I wanted to mention this as IT DOES NOT block the ports on the back of the TV, which I spent a lot of time looking at different reviews and since this TV just came out in March, I couldn't find many for this particular TV

Get MORE than what you pay for!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everyone should know by now that the LG CX series is one of the best looking screens for the money especially at the $1349 best buy member black friday pricing (compared to Sony, Samsung, and Vizio offerings). What truly adds to the value is that all 4 HDMI inputs support 120Hz @ 4k (unlike the brands mentioned above), there is no need for extra speakers listening to shows and movies even in an open room like my loft upstairs (I just binged all 4 season 2 episodes of the Mandalorian on this 55" TV rather than my 70" 4k Sharp Aquos with speaker system downstairs), and I can use this TV for PC gaming with a 13ms input lag on game mode (keep burn-in in mind, I bought the 5yr best buy plan that protects against burn-in)! I wish the 48" would come down in price, but I'm happy with my purchase of the 55" because now I can use this TV for multimedia rather than just pc gaming and work as 48" would be too small for other activities like console gaming, movies, and shows. I really like the remote; it's not as good as having a keyboard to type in search bars, but the tv response is quick and the cursor aiming feature keeps my frustration levels way down compared to my past remotes. Tl;dr: Better feature set per dollar than other OLED brands. Excellent PC monitor for RTX 3080. Responsive and intuitive remote.

Excellent OLED TV choice
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased 55" LG CX OLED in early October 2020 after researching tv's throughout the entire year and I am not disappointed. The picture clarity is beautiful and the colors are amazing. (After tinkering with the many settings of course) There are several display settings to match the program you are viewing and I am still learning what works best for my room. The TV is not very heavy for a 55" but don't risk it and get a second person to help lift and set. With the PS5 and Xbox Series X close to release, it was time for me to upgrade my 10 yr old Sony Bravia XBR and I very nearly purchased the Sony 55" A9G but there were 2 selling points that helped me choose the LG CX. It has an Auto Low Latency Mode that detects when a game is launched and automatically switches the TV to 'Game' mode and it supports VRR which means your input lag will be very low. (This was important for my inner gaming geek) PROS -Beautiful design -Outstanding for watching movies/sports/netflix -OLED perfect blacks -Exceptional for playing video games -Low input lag CONS -No instructions for adding the TV stand (had to find a youtube video) -There is an occasional audio bug when watching on my Apple TV 4K which is a known issue and I am hoping a firmware update from Apple or LG will resolve. For now I just reboot the LG and Apple TV.

Excellent OLED tv - stunning black, vivid colors.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have been watching shows and movies on this LG 55" OLED tv for about a month now. The black, colors, and brightness have been outstanding. On our previous tv, we had a sound bar, but this tv does not need one; its integrated sound system sounds as good as the sound bar. We also found that the integration of voice control with Alexa is quite good; however, we still have a lot to learn on how to maximize all the features that this tv has to offer.

So worth it
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great tv. People complain about the sound but it's the best sound I've gotten from a tv alone. Sure compared to surround sound speakers it's not going to blow your mind but it's incredible quality from a tv speaker. The picture quality is top notch whether gaming or watching movies. The true black means it looks absolutely gorgeous in a dark room and the contrast can't be beat.

2nd LG OLED TV. Better than the 1st
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my 2nd LG OLED. It replaced the one purchased in 2016 that had burn in problems. Excellent TV. Best sharpness and quality I have ever seen. Great price. Best Buy was lower than anyone. Even better bargain than the sale I got in 2016. Several negatives: I still hate the LG remote. Looking for a replacement. When the set starts, a video bar comes up from the bottom for about 7 seconds. Would like to stop it.
