    OLED? More like OWOW

My expectations were high and this TV exceeds them still! I wondered if OLED was really going to be a difference from LED TVs in terms of picture quality, especially because newer 4K LED TVs have blown me away. However, this TV is in an entirely different league. I would suggest using the Vivid or Sport picture mode for the best range of colors. If this TV doesn't wow you, I'm not sure what will. The only warning I would give is that it is too good of a TV and may ruin any other TV for you. In that case, just convince everyone you know to purchase this TV as well. This brings me to the price. Is it an expensive product? Yes, especially when compared to 4K LED TVs of the same size. However, if you truly want the best possible visual entertainment apparatus on the market today, this is almost a bargain. I understand that this may be out of the price range for many people, but this TV is a great investment. Pictures really don't do this TV justice; I would recommend seeing a display model to fully appreciate it's capabilities. As for setting up the TV, it definitely requires two people as flipping it upright after attaching the base is very challenging. The TV is very thin, so there is not a lot of room to grab it.

My husband and I were impressed! This was, by far, the easiest TV we have ever set up. We didn't need the Geek Squad to help us. The menu walked you right through it. The LG OLED 2020 model was worth the premium. The picture is beautiful. We are very happy with our purchase.

Best TV I have ever owned. I bought this to use with the Xbox Series X and it does not disappoint. This TV really shines when games are played at 4K 120FPS. Colors are a little off from the factory but once you play around with the settings it's perfect. There are a ton of features for gaming like VRR, HDR, Freesync, G-sync, Ultra Low latency, it really does it all.

Truly an epic picture. Great black levels and no light blooming in the picture. True black in tv and movies and in games really bring out the feeling of movies along with the billions of colors it can display. Very smart tv recognizes the devices Hooke up to it and names your inputs for you. It can be controlled by HomePod and android services as well. Extremely recommended

The only thing not excellent about this are LG’s assembly instructions… the rest, JUST WOW… Great remote, easy set up and very easy connection to the Bose 700 surround I have, now one remote does everything and a picture that has to be seen to be believed. The OLED tech gives a depth you cannot imagine. Just buy this, you won’t regret it!

Beautiful picture. Love the darks. WebOS is nice. 4 HDMI 2.1’s and Dolby vision as an added bonus. Very thin and nice looking. Plays well with Xbox Series X. Only complaint is picture settings have to be made for every source and every format. SDR, HDR, Dolby Vision, Game etc.. otherwise it’s a great tv. May try out a Qled for something brighter.

Excellent picture quality beyond anything I've owned previously, HDR in PS5 games is stunning and shows like the Mandalorian look incredible! The built in speakers on the TV are surprisingly are really good and get the job done, decent bass on em too. The only downside to this TV is that they capped the HDMI 2.1 input to 40gbps instead of 48gbps so unfortunately I can't use my RX6800 at 4K/120 in 12bit color I have to step down to 10 bit.

Just phenomenal television. We had an HD Panasonic Plasma. I thought that tv was good. This LG is leaps and bounds ahead. The OLED contrast is just amazing. Not concerned about burn-in (as I purchased the 5-year extended warranty, which covers that). The "Magic Remote" is just okay, and there are some missing apps. But all in all, this tv is really good.

Burn-in is a real problem even with normal use.

First, the picture quality is the best I have ever seen...at first. The burn-in however is real. I have a C8 which is 2 years old now and I added a couple pictures to show what it looks like. One can clearly see burn-in from the mute symbol and from CNBC screen elements. I didn’t leave the TV on for hours on end but there were some days where I had CNBC on for maybe 4 hrs in the background. The pixel refresher does not do anything to fix it. Tried many times. I also tried to contact LG and never got a response. I would never buy an OLED again despite likely the best picture quality because once you have the burn-in it is very distracting.

This is it. This is the future, this is the way, this is the TV. Nothing else compares, I've seen and played plenty of other TV's. I repair them for a living. Everything from the remote, to the stand is perfect. No cheap little legs on the side like other tvs **cough cough SONY**, the interface is smooth and not nearly as bloated as Samsung. The sound is extremely impressive, it even uses the microphone in the remote to adjust the sound based on your room's acoustics. You've never seen a picture like this before. In a dark room, there is no equal. If you live in a mansion with giant bay windows and the sun rises through your living room, you might try something else, or maybe just have someone put an outdoor TV in your living room/patio/pool area. But for the rest of us who work while the sun is up or own curtains and just want to come home to be astonished when you turn on the tv....this is it. Nothing short of amazing.

Was a little scared of the OLED burn in issue. Apparently it is a thing of the past. I did purchase a protection plan just Incase. Originally bought the Samsung q80t but kept visiting best buy and checking the lgcx out knowing that is what I originally wanted. Eventually returned the q80 and I am very glad I did. It did not compare.

Excellent gaming TV. I read so many reviews before buying, and any of my fears were put to rest once I booted the TV up. I’m a casual gamer, and it runs and looks beautiful to me. I also have a Samsung q9fn, and I think both TVs have their advantages. The contrast is what you’ll notice on this TV, while the colors are more pronounced on the Samsung.

The LG has a great picture and sound. It’s very light and easy to set up. Enjoyable experience. The delivery of the tv was a very pleasant surprise. The driver called approximately fifteen minutes minutes prior to tell us he was on his way which was two hours earlier than proposed delivery time. It’s been wonderful purchasing from Best Buy.

Wow, just absolutely fantastic with the Series X. It's the way gaming should look. After thoroughly going through the ratings, eviews, articles, etc. I spent two days chatting with the Best Buy, Samsung, LG representatives at the store and finally pulled the trigger on the 55" CX OLED to use specifically for gaming. I don't believe there's currently a TV better for Xbox. The picture is amazing, deep blacks, crisp colors, auto recognizing HDR and game mode. This is my first LG TV and I'm blown away by it. I've been a diehard Sony, then Samsung guy for 30 years. My biggest concern was glare/reflectivity as I have windows directly behind my gaming chair, but the picture is so bright it's a non-issue for daytime gaming. It took about a day to fully adjust to the smoothness and low lag time. it's really a beautiful picture. There is only one concern, I'm occasionally getting a "invalid format" error when viewing game trailers or when I access Prime Video through the Xbox, I think it may have something to do with the auto-recognition of game-mode. It's a concern, but since I'm 99% gaming on it I'm not too worried.

After comparing tv brands and reviews I decided to go with this one and I’m so glad I did. The picture blew me instantly. The colors, deep black are truly amazing to see. Especially when watching movies and gaming. Can’t wait for the next gen consoles to see this beautiful tv in action.

I'm playing PC games at 1440p, 120Hz, with HDR and G-Sync on this thing, feverishly waiting for a video card that can output at 4k with all the trimmings. The picture quality is stellar, and this display got more features than I will ever fully appreciate. My only regret is not going for the next size up. Don't bother with the C9. The CX is the future today!

Hands down this is the best TV I have ever owned. The colors and refresh rate are amazing. The setup was easy too which was an added bonus. I was able to connect the TV to my older receiver/surround sound with minimal issues. I did have to delete and reload a few apps to get the sound to work through the receiver but that wasn't too difficult.
