The snow storm previously so bad- I did not travel. I hope this LG OLED G5 55" is still in good condition.

Even low quality netflix streams look good! It sounds awesome, too! Super bright, colorful, and perfect black levels. 10/10!

I specifically upgraded from my previous 11-year-old tv because of its slow streaming response. The issue I have/had with this LG was it would just lose the stream signal, and I would have to power boot the tv to get it to reset. Sometimes the wi-fi network info would somehow disappear and I would have to build it back in. This was almost a daily occurrence. Very frustrating. Finally purchased a Fire Stick-problem solved! No more dop-offs or freezing. The service tech I was initially provided tried to get me to believe it was my Eero mesh network that was the problem. LG's customer service really just read off of a manual. Maybe it was just an issue with my unit, but we'll never know. The Fire Stick solved that issue completely! I'm still debating whether to jump through the hoops LG is demanding in order to get a replacement. The tv is working great now, but I shouldn't have had to fork out another almost $50 for a device to make that happen if it's not a defective issue within my tv.

I have brightness (SDR) turned down to 35 and it’s still so much brighter than my C1 ever was. Colors and processing are excellent and I leave much of it (processing functions) on for lower quality content. Filmmaker mode is too dark in Dolby vision but that is an easy fix by switching to cinema dark. It seems to be most noticeable in older movies that were shot on film and later converted to HDR. If you can get one on sale, don’t hesitate!

I went from a Panasonic Plasma ( a beautiful picture) to the LG Oled G5 and am extremely happy with my choice. While the LG is much brighter it offers a very crisp picture with deep black colors giving a great contrast.
