Caught this TV on sale for a good price before black friday. This is a good upgrade from my 32 inch tv. Although 4k isnt really needed much since most apps arent optimized to run 4k(unless you buy a premium package of the app) this is a good tv. My question for anyone reading this, Is there any way to hook up a sound bar with out using the optical output? i would prefer to use and aux output.

If you buy this television and you watch movies or shows where they tend to whisper or talk in British accents, you should just go ahead and buy a soundbar to go with it. Before you do that, just go ahead and save the $100 by purchasing the Samsung JU6400 instead. Among Smart TVs, this one has all the features. The old-school remote is fantastic. The screen is crisp (if you adjust the settings - we found the standard Eco-friendly mode a bit dark). However, for whatever reason, the Hulu app performed terribly for us. The adds buffered, and buffered, and buffered. I turned off the "stay in sleep mode" setting and the buffering was fixed, but there was still a little lag. And the SOUND...we started watching a show at level 10, but when a scene featured dialog, we had to up the setting to 50 just to make it out!!! I tried all sorts of settings, but to no avail. I would have thought the television was "fine," but we ended up buying the Samsung JU6400, and the difference was quite distinct. There is a "voice boost" mode on the Samsung that makes the dialog quite easy to hear. The apps work perfectly, especially Hulu.

Received this TV as a bonus when we bought the Oled TV. Put it up in our lower level family room. We were pleasantly surprised at what a great picture it had even compared to the Oled. So now everyone is happy, kids, parents, grandparents, and friends. If you don't have $$$$ this is a great buy.

I am impressed with the quality and clarity of this TV. The smart tv features are a bit overwhelming and will require some serious study on my part in order to use all the features offered. The Best Buy salesman, Sam, was good but was way too fast in pointing out features. One solid one on one hands on training session would have brought my review up to 5 stars. The product itself is amazing.

The only TV that I would rate 'better' than this one, is the OLED by LG. Also- the only thisg I dont like is that the remote is somewhat difficult to read as all the buttons look very similar and there is no "mouse" pointer. Other than that- wowie what a great TV- especially for the money!

Goog image quality, easy to use. Netflix and Amazon its a great addition.

Wasn't sure about it because it was open box but after the first issue with the TV got fixed (random mute symbol kept coming and going up on the screen REALLY distracting but somehow I fixed it) I have no complaints after that pictures great just everything is good about this TV

Got this tv for a deal and couldn't be happier. My games and streaming media look amazing in 4k. I like the stylish layout of the interface. The Netflix, hulu and Amazon apps work great (wwe app is unusably laggy). Casting from my phone was far easier than anticipated. Love my LG TV!

Fantastic Smart TV! With my LG 55" LED and 4K Ultra HD TV finally I watch my multimedia in stunning clarity in big screen! The 4K Ultra HD resolution and quality is crisp, detailed and awsome! Have also in-plane switching technology for increased color accuracy. Great value!

Incredible picture. There aren’t a lot of 4K show options here but even standard HD looks better. I go through a receiver so I can’t discuss the sound from the TV but bought it for the picture anyway and I’m impressed.

We had needed a larger TV in our living room for quite some time, but I couldn't seem to pull the trigger. This TV was a balance of features and affordability that finally broke me down. It serves our purposes well; streams video without difficult. I am not totally impressed with the sound quality, but I know I can always get a sound bar to supplement it, if I would like.

This tv is great for the price and a wonderful picture but be advised it is limited on inputs! Tried to hook up a Bluetooth transmitter to it because it doesn’t have it and there is no 3.5 mm input so I am going to have to be creative to be able to use my Bluetooth headset!!

I purchased this television because of it's reputation. This is my second LG 4K television within a year. The first television I purchased was 43 inches. I loved the picture and features so much I purchased a 55 inch for my new media room. I am so pleased with this purchase.

I partnered this TV with my PS4 Pro, and it is a great combination! At first, it was hard to find the right setting for the picture quality. I had to play with the settings, but I was able to eventually find the right combination. Overall, it was a good buy for me.

had purchased a similar LG last year so no surprises. Took a while to figure out where to set the optical output to PCM (pulse code modulation) so it would work with stereo properly. And definitely miss the "Guide" button on remote (gone). There is a work around to set up hot button or macro on remote, but would be much nicer just to have the button on the remote.

Bought this because the price was so good (around $500). Looks good. 4K content on Netflix and Vudu. Also purchased a 4K LG Blue Ray player (Amazon) I was mislead by LG about the distance between the "feet" and had to replace my TV stand which wasn't wide enough.
