Dull and unclear picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So disappointed! I have been an LG proponent for years, but this picture could not be rectified with any type of settings I used. The colors are dull, picture not sharp, and colors change from station to station after you have come to some sort of satisfaction with the settings. My 8 year old 1080p HD (also LG) had an excellent picture, and this was supposed to be ultra HD!! Do not buy.

Disappointing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Against my better judgement we purchased this television and within an hour of having it out and running, we were packing it back up. The colors were dull, the picture was blurry, and the overall experience was majorly lacking. Even with HD we couldn't get a picture anywhere near what we had on our Samsung TV. We took it back the next day and purchased a Samsung and couldn't be happier.

No picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this tv and brought it home. It worked amazingly for about 5 days with an average of being turned on for 2 hours a day. Went to turn it on the next day and no picture. Unplugged it, plugged it back in and the picture came on but 10 minutes into the tv being on the picture went out again. This was continuously happening for about a week.

So Far, So Great!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My boyfriend and I are both loving this TV so far. The picture and sound are both excellent. I really love the 4K upscaling. I can't quite understand why Best Buy's tech specs are saying this doesn't have HDR when the LG website specs shows that it does, and there is even an option in the TVs settings to turn it off and on... Strange... Regardless, if that's what's making you lean towards another TV, rest assured that this TV does in fact have HDR. (I've attached a screen shot from LG's website to show this... Hopefully BB will update their product description...)

HDMI Ports stop working
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do not buy this TV. After less than a year, the HDMI ports have stopped working or intermittently lose signal and say no input detected. After doing some looking, it seems this has been an issue for other people too. Buyer beware.

not what I expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this product was not at all what I expected. my 1080p tv from 2009 looks way better than this. I tried watching 4k and 1080p with this tv and, honestly, my old tv was clearer. I took this tv back.

Great TV but has Wi-Fi connection issue
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased the TV 10/17/17. It was lightweight compared to our plasma & very easy to set up. Great picture, love the netflix button on the remote. Great TV for the money if you do not use the netflix or chromcast feature. We have been watchiing 4 or 5 shows on netflix on this tv at least 3 -5 nights per week. No problem with the TV in anyway until 1/3/2018. While watching a Netflix show on this TV , the picture locked up. I had no idea what happen and had trouble exiting out of netflix. Through trial & error I found that the tv has lost the connection to our Wi-Fi. Rebooting the wi-fi nor turning off the tv with the remote made any difference. I finally unplugged the tv from the power outlet, waited a couple of mins. & plugged it back in. I turned on the TV and it was connected to our wi-fi. I click the netflix button on the remote and netflix started up. I began to watch the netflix show and 10-15 mins in to watching it the screen froze again. I checked wi-fi connection on the tv and it was lost once again. I called LG tech support & they suggest unplugging tv from power outlet and holding down on/off button on the tv for 20 secs. this is suppose to clear the board for the tv. I have not performed this task as of yet but am concerned this issue will reoccurr and consider it a flaw in this model

Wow
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this LG to replace a Samsung that died after only 2 years. Now this unit is a larger unit than the Samsung and that might account for my response. The picture on this LG is spectacular! I was not prepared for visual experience it offered the moment we set it up. The sound, too, is superior to that of the Samsung, even though we use an LG soundbar. That is the only problem we have encountered so far. Even though the soundbar is low profile, it interferes with the signal from our remove control. LG should make the unit so that the supports lift the tv just a little higher. Navigation through the apps or the settings menu is challenging at first just because the system differs from the previous television. But through repeated use, we are now comfortable with it. Only time will tell if this LG's durability exceeds that of the Samsung, but as of now we are very satisfied with our purchase!

Definately a good Upgrade from my 1080p 43"
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had been looking at TV's for over a year... Finally went into the store. I had settled on buying a 50 LG (49, basically the smaller version of this one).... I am very happy with the 55".. It fills the living room much better than the 43" ever did. The picture is fluid and smooth. The WebOS that LG has is very clear and easy to use. However as with any purchase there was a learning curve. It took many tries to get the picture set to how we like it, The stand of the TV is very weak. I worried my 2 year old would have it tipped over on himself. The wireless built in I had multiple connection problems. Other than the picture, the other two items are easy to address. Mount the TV to the wall, and run an ethernet cable to the router.
