Great 4k Entry TV for streaming
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We just upgraded a 12 year old LG TV that still works. This TV is fantastic in clarity and viewing angle. We stream mainly and kids play xbox. The only thing we have run into is you can't get HBO Now because it hasn't been programmed for webOS on these TVs. There is a workaround by using a Firestick so that isn't that bad. All other streaming sources are right at the home screen.

Excellent
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my new TV, it is a fantastic bargain 4K TV made by a reputable company! Picture is great and has many features you'd expect. Even at full price this TV is a good deal to get into the 4K market without breaking the bank. Sound is good with my LG sound bar. Please note: NO LG Sync connectivity with this model, you'll need an optical for the sound bar. If you're looking for a quality, well priced 4K TV, this is it!

Amazing tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had originally purchased the 55 inch Samsung tv but had to return it. I picked this tv up and all I can say is that it is amazing!! The picture is way way better than the Samsung's. It's very clear and the colors are amazing. Motion doesn't blur and 4k is excellent. Overall I am very happy with the tv!

Priced right... poorly engineered support feet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This set is a good one, you get your bang for your buck. I would not make this my "main" tv but its good as a secondary tv (i.e. bedroom, office, etc.) the picture although not the brightest picture... its ok. The biggest "con" in my opinion are the two (2) so called "support feet" that is suppled with this set they are poorly engineered with that said they are 100% plastic that don't fit well into the slots provided which makes the set lean to the front or back too much making it unstable. I went out and purchased a wall mount because i didn't feel as though the tv would be safe using the supplied "feet".

Cracks on supporting legs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just wanted to let anyone that may have the LG 55", Model 55UJ6300, to look out for cracks (front or back) on the supporting legs on this TV. I had to secure my TV till my replacement legs arrive. My cracks are in the front of the legs, right in the middle. If it gives way, the tv will fall forward, in my case. Just wanted to let you all know to look out for this.

It is s good TV, but need tweaks to look good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out of the box seems to be dark, be sure from Settings to disable the Energy Settings from Auto to OFF. It makes a HUGE difference. If you don't have a 4K provider, use streaming like Netflix HD ($4+) or YouTube has a lot of 4K content. Get an Xbox One X for 4K glory. Be sure to update all apps and firmware after you hook your TV to the internet

TV Screen Stopped Working
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a great tv when it works. I bought this unit last July and it died on me yesterday. The screen is blank and no image can be seen. It is really disappointing that an LG unit suddenly dies literally a year after purchase. I would have expected that a brand like LG would have at least lasted 3 years if not more. Be warned, these units appears to have a design flaw where the backlit LEDs suddenly fail.

Poorly designed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV itself has a great picture and works well with the remote but buyer beware of the construciton of this TV. The legs are very thin narrow cheap plastic which holds the weight of the tv. I was concerned about this when we set it up on the tv stand. We were very careful not to shake the stand in fear that the tv may easily topple over. All seemed to go well until this week (about a year after purchase). We were downstairs and heard a big case from the second story of the house. We went upstairs to see what had happened and the tv was on the floor. Apparently one of the legs broke in half and the tv fell off the stand and onto the floor. Not only was the tv broken but it put major deep scratches into the top of a very expensive solid cherry stand. So be very careful with this tv as the stand is poor.

Open box beware
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This rating is not for the tv, but Best Buy open box. Buyer beware. I purchased the “excellent geek squad certified” version of open box and will be returning immediately. To start, the screen has no covering on in. It is just sitting in the styrofoam unprotected. Secondly, there were no screws in the box to put the stand together. There is actually a note under the tape (can’t see until you open it) that says the screws are missing....but they STILL sold it. Note that the guidelines for “excellent geek squad certified” are “no missing accessories and the tv appears as new.” It also claims to be professionally cleaned, yet the screen had smudges on it that could be seen before even removing it from the box. Could not be more disappointed by “open box.” Tv looked great in the store and should have bought new. Would not recommend open box to anyone.
