Terrible Picture Quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product was recommended by Bestbuy sales associate, but after getting it home and setting it up the picture was terrible. This unit has Terrible light bleed from the edge lit display. I had streaks coming from the edge during dark scene and the entire screen was blotchy under dark scenes. I got the LG OLED in my living room early in the year and I’m still in wow over that set. Unfortunately this unit doesn’t come close to the quality of the OLED display. I got this for my master bedroom and my old 1080p tv has a better picture than this unit. Stay away from the model, there’s a reason it’s mark down to 675 from 1199. I replaced it with a Sony and so far I’m happy with the replacement.

Not pleased

Less than 2 months and screen has lines
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first and last LG tv. I thought they were a reputable brand but after this tv has failed in less than 2 months and all LG will offer is a repair, I'll stick with Samsung from here on. If I wanted a refurbished tv I would have saved $200 and bought one. I guess I have to see if a repir works. Buy I will never buy an LG again and probably wont buy from best buy either since they are no help.

Had to return and swap for a Samsung
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were so happy to purchase a new tv. Until it started turning on and off spontaneously. After a few google searches, it seems it’s a common problem.

Wonderful TV!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did a lot of research before deciding to buy a TV. The 55UJ7700 had the best rating for the price, and the only one to have both HDR and Dolby vision. It was easy to set up, and looks great right out of the box. I've read it can look even better with changes to the settings. The sound is also better than most similar TVs. I am especially enjoying that at bed time, I press a button and verbally tell the tv how much longer I want it to stay on.

Awesome TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Blacks are not real deep is the only con so if you have a real dark room you may want to look at others. However you won't find one for this price range. Picture is fantastic for gaming or movies viewing. Using it with a xbox one X currently and it supports all the HDR formats.

Bought as a gift
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this set as a gift after a lot research and watching the sales around Thanksgiving. I have always bought Sony TVs going way back and that's what I currently have. But I don't like Android and that's what all the Sony Smart TVs have now. So I recently got to watch this TV for several hours during a playoff game and I think it's fantastic for what it costs. You may notice too that this is the first 55 inch TV in the leading consumer magazine ratings that gets the $ that indicates it's a "Best Buy" - meaning it has really good bang for the buck. You can get a better TV but most likely will have to spend considerably more than what this unit costs. If money is no object - then by all means, get the OLED.

Amazing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price, this TV looks amazing. I have an Xbox one x hooked up and the HDR is amazing. The 120 refresh rate will show no real effect when gaming. Awesome product along with great service at the Bristol store.

Ok but with major annoyance
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this LG for 7 years. After 3 years, it would randomly restart. It was anywhere between 45 minutes or a few hours. Now it is restarting every 5 minutes. Looking it up, seems like it is a known issue and LG is doing nothing about it.

Easy fast set up
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first LG TV. I have always bought Samsung. I was looking for 55-60 inch 4K HDR TV and this had everything I needed for the best price. I have not been disappointed. The picture can be a little dark sometimes and I find trying to watch the TV from a side view its hard to see the picture clearly. I thought the speakers were fine but my husband wanted to buy a LG sound bar and It has made a difference. I haven't had any problems with the TV stand. I put it on a stand that can hold up to a 60 inch and this sits on it nice and sturdy with the sound bar in front of it. The remote is nice but still getting used to it. We use Roku and a Samsung Blu-Ray player with this TV and all set up easily.

Great tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We love this tv. The manager Tim helped us decide that this was the one for us. He truly went above and beyond to help us and it’s a shame he is no longer with the company. Over all the display is nice and it does what we need.

Died at 1 1/2 years old!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the second LG I have tried and BOTH of them started turning themselves off and on after one year. They flash off for a second or two then comes back on. This happens every 30 seconds or so. After doing some research I have learned this is an LG thing. Some people have claimed to have fixed the problem with a firm slap on the back of the TV! Also nighttime or dark scenes are awful, you can barely make out a picture at all, very dark. My actual model number is 55UH7700-UB. Sorry LG, I've tried....twice.

After 4 months problems with the TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had this TV for 4 months and all of the sudden the screen size is off. The scores on games are cut in half on the top of the screen and things the news channel puts on the bottom of the screen is cut off. Was on the phone with LG for an hour and the customer sevrice was awful. Kept telling me it was spectrum causing the problem. But we have a Samsung TV in the bedroom we turned on to watch the same game and picture was fine. LG kept refusing to believe it was a problem with them. We tried everything to fix the picture and we just cant fix it. All LG tried to do was prove it was spectrum causing it.

Poor picture
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am disappointed with the picture because it seems to have faint grey bars that are vertical on the screen. These can easily be seen when sitting at any kind of angle which results in a dull picture. If the grey on the screen wasnt there I believe the picture would look good
