Best TV I have ever owned

Ok, so to start you should know I’m old school when it comes to electronics. I hate anything. HE or the”new” technology, mostly because it never lasts. When our 10 yr old Samsung tv bit the dust I was so disappointed to have to buy a new Tv. Not only am I old school, but I am super cheap. So we went and first purchased a Hisense..again I’m cheap...and that TV was awful. So we returned it to Best Buy (easiest return I have ever had to do) and bought this tv because it was on sale (it wasn’t the week prior when we purchased the piece if crap) and the picture in the store was outstanding. I never thought I would like an UHD smart tv but this Tv is outstanding. The best picture I have seen, it looks like you could reach out and touch what your watching. You can see every grain of sand or blade of grass with out that “soap opera” effect. The sound is also fantastic. I can’t recommend this tv enough!!

Great picture, great quality. The only reason I gave a 4 is the legs are not good at all, tv is wobbly. the leg are not a stable support. If lg reads these reviews.FIX THE LEGS. also if they have a solution to this problem,DO TELL ALL that have purchased this item. I would not recommend this product with little kids and hyper dogs or cats.

Superb picture after turning off energy saving backlight feature. Much too dark with this feature engaged. Colors are right on with perfect hues and tints. Don’t have it hooked up to external sound and it does a yomen’s job. Really surprised it sounds this good. Don’t have Wi-Fi, so can’t comment on apps. For $400, you can’t go wrong. LG gets a big thumbs up on this one.

I bought a cheap TV knowing it would be a cheap TV. Picture is good, not as crisp as on a more expensive TV but acceptable. Setup was straightforward and the TV has the usual picture settings. Sound is actually pretty good for a TV. There was a loud snapping sound when I gripped the side of the TV to stand it upright after putting the legs on. Sounded like the bezel wasn't fully seated (or at least I hope that is what it was). Feet are not sturdy, but this seems to be an issue with all modern TVs. For the price I paid, I got a pretty good deal. I trust LG quality, they have come a long way since their Goldstar days.

I’m really happy with this Black Friday purchase. I was deciding between this one and a 55” Samsung with similar pricing. I ultimately chose LG for the extra ports this model has. 3 HDMI ports, 2 USB, and several others that Samsung did not have. When I first turned on the tv I also thought the screen seemed dark (as another reviewer stated) but upon looking thru the settings menu realized that “backlight energy saver” was automatically turned on. I turned this off and the screen brightened considerably. The TV looks great from multiple angles within our living room. It’s also held up well against the strong natural light coming in through our patio doors nearby. My only complaint is the legs seem a little cheap. Plastic-y and the tv is still quite wobbly. I don’t think this is enough to knock it down an entire star.

For $400 right now it’s hard to beat. The legs are garbage and we are scared it’s going to tip over if the dogs play to rough and bump the table the tv is on. Picture quality is nice.

I bought this TV over a similar Samsung version for the extra ports in the back. Specifically the analog ones (I still use my PS2). Picture quality is good. You can connect Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu. The plastic pieces for the stand are ok. They work but it isn't the most sturdy thing.

I decided to purchase this LG TV after carefully researching and reading all the negative remarks on several brands, and I'm glad I decided on this one. I've had the TV for one month and have not had any problems with it. It has great resolution, no WiFi issues, and the learning curve is minimal. I do have an issue with the older TV shows that do not broadcast in HD and causes loss of resolution and blurriness, but that is not due to the TV but the way the shows are broadcasted. All the newer shows and movies are crystal clear. My impression when I first saw the screen was WOW!! I feel as if the characters were right in my living room. I hope everything continues to work flawlessly. If it doesn't I'll be updating my review. One tip I give to anyone who buys LED TV's is to lower the brightness (backlight) to under 100. This is why many of these modern TV's burn out fast leaving you with a black screen and only sounds.

Just got this a couple of days ago, and very happy with it! The picture quality is fantastic, and so is the sound. Perfect for me. A word of caution regarding delivery, though, because I didn't know this: apparently now, when you order standard delivery, the delivery guys do not set your TV up AT ALL. They don't even inbox it -- they just put it (still boxed up) in your house and leave. So if you're a single chick who lives alone like I do, and really don't have anyone to help, you'll need to pay extra to have it set up.

Good TV, much better picture than our older LG TV and our main Samsung. The interface is a bit over complicated at times (many steps to do something simple) and God forbid you ever lose the remote because doing anything via the TV button is miserable. I much prefer the manual button on our older LG TV for those purposes. The interface is slightly slow and laggy at times, but nowhere near as bad as our Samsung TV, so that's an improvement. Oh, Alexa can't turn the TV on and I think that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

Purchased the TV yesterday and it has a great picture. The only issue I have is that it states in the description that HBO Now is included. It is not and its not even an option download in the Content Store. This would have been a huge issue for us if we didnt have a PS4.

I own both this and the exact same one at 65". I can't believe the quality of these TV's for their price. Both have an INCREDIBLE picture and the sound is great also. I HIGHLY recommend this TV, no matter the size.

    Great TV - Good value

I bought this TV to replace a two year old Toshiba 55" 4K TV that died. The LG has a much clearer 4K picture and more tools to get the picture tuned to your liking. I would have given it 5 stars but the feet that support it are cheap and weak, the TV wobbles way too much, scary.

Bought the biggest one I could fit on the fire place. Have many LG products in my home and most are reliable. LG remote AKB75055701 is trash and should be avoided. Best Buy sent me a new one and it suffered the same function problems as the first one. Before spending another 2000 dollars for a TV I went on Amazon and had a different supplier send me a 12 dollar remote and guess what? No more issues with the TV. 24 months of frustration wasted on trying to solve issues and it was the remote. Christ! Bet Best Buy was happy making a pointless repair call.

Sound is a headache, screen not super bright

The sound from the TV is not great so, naturally, you'll want something better. However, there is no 3.5 audio out. No headphone, no RCA out. I get that these are old ports but I needed them for my sound system. Worse, the Toslink optical audio out cannot control volume from the one TV remote. Forget that, it won't work. You'll have to control the volume using whatever remote comes with your audio system. Doesn't have one? Then you're stuck. I tried using an HDMI to 3.5 converter. First one didn't work at all. Then I tried a Toslink to 3.5 and it somewhat worked but didn't decode Dolby so it had issues. I got a new one that decodes Dolby. I have sound, it goes to my older 3.5 sound system, I cannot control the volume at all with the remote. Not even mute. For that, you are required to drop more money on an LG compatible system. Forget it. If I could return the TV then I would. The other issue, and I am biased in favor of LG screens normally, is that it doesn't seem very bright to me even after turning off the energy saving features. I'm using this with a FireTV first gen. All of this would be solved had the FireTV had a 3.5 output or maybe even a Toslink. So for now, I have seriously have to downgrade my sound and it's just terrible. I hope this is useful information to other consumers. Smart home integration, however, was excellent. Somehow my Amazon smart devices worked immediately with the new TV. I hooked everything up to Ethernet, which is my preference over wifi, and it just worked. "Alexa, turn on the TV" and it was on! Wow. LG does their homework in some ways, but dropped the ball understanding how people actually use their TVs.
