This TV has a great picture and the sound quality is very adequate, no need for a sound bar. This smart TV has features that make streaming services like Netflix and Amazon available at the push of a button on the remote. I also ran the optical out from the TV to my surround sound receiver. Very happy with this purchase.

TV was easy to set up. All you have to do is follow the instructions. We read the other reviews that said the feet on the TV didn’t support it and it fell over but we found that if you follow the instructions the feet are secure. It is clear from the instructions that the feet click into the TV on specific sides of the TV.

This is an excellent TV especially when you consider the price. The picture quality is excellent. I have added a ROKU stick to the TV to allow me to access Xfinity cable without the expense of a cable box. I think that the picture quality is better than with the small cable box I was renting for $10/month.

I’ve never had a TV before so this was QUITE the upgrade. The picture is super clear and it was easy to put the legs on the TV too- the legs did seem like they are pretty sturdy as well. The sound quality is alright, definitely passable, but I would recommend getting a sound bar just for a better bass.

I got this for my office wall where there are a lot of windows, and its not the best with glare.. But I can still se picture ok.. When the glare from windows aren't so great, the tv looks awesome.. I also really like the smart tv functions, and not having to plug in an ethernet cable... WORLS GREAT...

Bought this to replace my 2004 Pioneer Plasma TV. The young salesman pointed me towards this 55" LG after asking me a few questions. I could have spent twice as much and got a TV with better specs, but not sure that the picture would be any better. You won't be disappointed - for sure.

My first smart TV! Also my first LG. Very pleased with the picture and navigating through the menus. If I were going to use the stand, we would have to figure out where to put it as the stand is very wide. Not an issue as we hung it on the wall. Overall have been pleased with this TV.

Sound is terrible. The tiny speakers simply can't do the job. Beautiful picture and easy to set up. Very slow streaming TV, constantly buffering = annoying. Maybe the sound bar should be required? I don't have it, too expensive for my needs. I don't game. This TV will do a bunch of stuff I'll never use, it is a smart TV, you can probably hook up anything to it. All I use it for is to watch TV.

We live our new TV. For the price you can't go wrong with this television. My only knock on it would the stand for it. Were looking into getting a unit to place it on the wall cause the legs they give you to have it placed on a stand are a bit small and the TV tends to sway a little when our kids are being a little rambunctious. I'd definitely recommend the set and would purchase it again.

Was kind of hesitant before getting this TV because of its price. It wasn't going to be my primary TV but still I wanted something good. Image quality is really really good plus it comes with Airplay which is great (at least for me). For an entry point tv it's great, really worth it

We bought this TV for our living room. I love the fact it is smart and easily connects to our wifi. The colors are so bright and it is the perfect fit for our home. I will definitely be purchasing another one for the guest room.
