Customers are positive about the picture quality, ease of setup, price, remote control, and smart TV features. They appreciate the amazing picture quality, easy setup process, reasonable price, user-friendly remote control, and the overall smart TV experience. However, there are concerns regarding the legs being wobbly and difficult to install, the lack of a user manual, the TV's durability, limited smart features, and the quality of the black levels.

This LG television was a great price for the size. After speaking to an in-store salesperson about the pros and cons of the TV I went ahead and took the chance with it. What a waste. Once I got it home the set up was fairly easy. Then it wanted to add a feature called LG Channels. I figured why not and allowed them to be added. Most were wastes of space nothing even remotely interesting and could barely even be called TV. This TV had multiple issues trying to keep ahold of our 5 band wi-fi in home. I usually can get up to 200mbps down on the 5 band and do very well esp when using peripheral items and another smart TV. Most channels do a bit of buffering in the middle causing for programming to look jumpy. Software surprisingly didn't need updated out of the box but the apps needed updated. For a line up of applications its pretty standard (Netflix, Hulu, Prime) but didn't offer anything interesting beyond that most being Korean, Chinese or Russian based applications. During playback on Xfinity there was a lot of grainy appearance on all channels including some jerkiness and blur. Most can be attributed to the 60hz refresh rate the TV has but with basic cable through HDMI I didn't figure this would be a huge issue. Turning to FX and seeing a movie like Guardians of the Galaxy playing and watching a character's head stutter was a bit much. Turning to the Weather Channel the TV had basic issues keeping up with the movement of the folks on the screen. Many times causing the mouth and words not to be synced up. LG Customer Care stated this was normal as cable will be placed on a delay when the TV processes this through from the box, to the HDMI port and into the TV core processing using ThinQ AI. This was a bit unnerving as it made channels unwatchable. After having to move the TV to fit the space we needed to unplug the device and then reattach back to the source. The TV acted as if it was being turned on for the first time ever having me walk back through the entire setup process. LG stated this was not normal and was unsure a fix for it. Another issue out of the box is the lack of 4K support. The TV should process UHD or 4K items just fine esp with our network connection. Using Prime to check the process the TV struggled to process and repeatedly gave a notice that while the program is in 4K the TV would have to revert to lower settings to compensate. LG reps stated I needed to toggle the HDR settings in the Picture area of settings. When located the HDR settings are greyed out and not usable. Trying again with native YouTube app on the TV and playing 4K content the TV showed at 1080. While the picture it produced in 1080 looked just fine there was still a grainy look to it as it appeared the TV just wasn't able to process the picture correctly. Many colors were faded and blacks were just not deep giving a slight tint to the black color. The sound on the TV was excellent honestly. For using just the speakers on board it produced great sound. While in some instances it sounded hollow on some programs it seemed to work its way back as it adjusted. The Magic Remote is a gimmick that wasn't appreciated at all by me. The cursor stayed on the screen for long periods sometimes longer than the program playing. Any slight movement caused it to appear whether it was changing the channel or lowering or turning up volume there it was. While I can understand its added functionality there should be options to disable or remove it. The screen quality was probably the biggest let down of this TV. Another glitch possibly or its normal use, is the fact that turning on and off the TV will always force you to LG Channels, not the last used device on the TV. While I would rather have the TV turn on to cable or turn directly to a peripheral device like FireTV or AppleTV it always launches into its LG Channels. It comes with an added SmartHome Hub that is only useful when using LG products. It doesn't work with your greater smart use with plugs and lights. While a great price for getting into the LG 4K lineup this TV has too many faults keeping it from being a viable household TV including acting as a bedroom TV. I had to return the device 4 days later as it continued to just get worse and worse.

A very high end TV with incredible picture and color - probably among the best for the price. The TV is thicker than most nowadays apparently due to larger internal speakers, although it weighs nearly nothing. The magic remote lets you select by pointing at the TV and was a pleasant surprise - it worked right out of the box and recalibrates itself constantly so you always feel like it's pointing exactly where you want it. The only reason I wouldn't give it five stars is because of the software. You can't change the default channel and input so I so far have been unable to prevent loud static whenever I turn it on. It also gives a half-dozen notifications about software throughout the day which appear as large boxes; only minor inconveniences but they block the programming until dismissed and apparently cannot be turned off. Otherwise, a very good TV that I would highly recommend.

Bought both LG 43" (43UM7300PUA) and 55" (55UM7300PUA) TVs. The 55" TV has not been set-up yet - too large for me to mount to wall by myself. (63 yo w, 5'4").
Used directions provided and Set-up 43" TV myself - LOVE IT. Beyond my Expectations. Easy peasy to attach bottom feet (included) and upright on its table. Attaching antenna cable was a no-brainer. User Guide provided within the TV helped to learn additional aspects to TV and wireless connection. Fiddled around w/ various settings to adjust to my liking and achieve a great picture. Wirelessly able to access online channels easily; throw my laptop screen to TV; talk to TV for various interests... and still so much more to learn and use TV. The Magic Remote is Fabulous! I'm not a tech person or even close, but much of using TV is almost intuitive as a result of having an Android phone and Fire TV (key and tablet) - don't need the key anymore! Easy access to Prime movies, etc., as well additional Netflix, Hulu, Sling, VUDU, channels w/ subscription, etc., and YouTube. These are my first Smart TVs. Had a limited budget and delighted with my choices. Recommended to me by Best Buy TV person. Have every expectation the LG 55" will be the same and look forward to its wall-mount - budget restriction delayed install to Sept. 26; with 43", delay is no problem.

So this will be a bit of a journey, but bear with me. Back in 07, I purchased a Sharp lc-52d62u, which at the time, was state of the art when most HD units were mini projo tubes. It was a great workhorse and survived up until the other day. Tried reset codes, but no avail. We purchased a larger Samsung 4K for the basement already, and liked it well enough, but for upstairs, my wife wanted something reasonably priced, around the same size (our Sharp was 52”, but looked larger because the casing was so thick) that would look good, but not needing anything over the top. Last year, we bought my dad a Sharp 4K 50” model and absolutely hated it. Being bought out and cheapening up really showed and everything from the programming, functions, look, ability to pick up local channels *with a powered antenna* and the pathetic remote were all lacking.
So I started doing research on 55” models. I wanted a smart TV so we wouldn’t have to rely on our often glitchy Sony 4K player to watch Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney +, we wanted 4K for the content, multiple HDMI inputs, a great remote that wasn’t absolutely tiny, HDR and good quality. My first step was looking into Samsung models. Knowing that the 6 series of most TVs are baseline and often used as a jumping off price point for holiday sales and often using older technology, I was a bit hesitant at first. I considered a Toshiba, but didn’t trust the brand to keep up. I ended up wanting either a Sony, Samsung or LG. Sony was out due to cost and the Samsung models, both 6 and 7 series, only had 2 HDMI inputs and no Disney + options. The colors were brighter on display, but the blacks were deeper on the LG.
I landed on LG, but now needed to decide between the 6 and 7 series. While the base price was far different between the 2, the sale price was deeper on the 7 series, making it $50 more for a better processor, a better remote and a non-holiday model. I chose this 7 series.
Day 1: setup was thorough, but not hard. Robust options and multiple settings to toy with. After booting up Netflix, I found the picture to be far better than what I was expecting for a tv of this price. The remote is a wonder and I absolutely love it. I couldn’t think of a better tv at this size for the price point for one of the major brands.
Only complaint: The only outside button on the unit is the power button. No channel or volume button. If you lose your remote, you will have to use your cell phone.
Very happy.

This is a really Great TV. It replaces a 10+ year old plasma. It was easy as pie to set up. No problem what so ever. I had a 50” set and replaced it with this 55” set. It only added one inch of real estate due to the much smaller bezels. I have Amazon Prime and Netflix. It is easy to access them as well as the DVD player. The picture is crisp and clear. I am very happy with my purchase.

So happy with the purchase of the LG 55" LED Smart TV. Very easy to program. Comes with Google assist but I downloaded the Alexa app and connected my Amazon Echo and now I can just ask Alexa out loud to turn the channel, put on pause, turn off so you don't need the remote at all. However, the "Magic Remote" that comes with it is awesome. Easy to use and good size buttons if you're blind like me! Picture quality is amazing as well. Perfect bedroom TV. So easy to set up! Highly recommend!

I bought this TV to replace a same size similar Sharp brand tv for a similar price which I had bought maybe 1-1.5 years ago(my child cracked the screen & was unusable). I immediately noticed the difference in the MANY more features it has. It has a voice remote waaaaaay better than the annoying Rocku remote I previously owned with the Sharp tv. Not only that, the remote works as a computer mouse (it has a pointer & a roller mouse in the middle)!!! It has all the top apps... you can search the web on your tv, you have a “home bar” u can switch through apps while still watching tv! There’s really no end on the amazing features of this TV.. the picture quality is unbelievable. This is the BEST tv I’ve owned, I am very happy with my purchase! Definitely worth the buy!

Purchased this yesterday and wow were we impressed! It was an upgrade from our 47in LG we purchased 6 or 7 yrs ago. Had no idea the picture would be so awesome! Crisp lines, vibrant colors, great sound quality, and very user friendly. I thought the remote with a "mouse"was gonna be tricky but its so much easier than the firestick remote we used previously. Only possible con are the legs seem like thin plastic and not very durable but don't plan on it being touched so should be ok. Overall this TV exceeded our expectations big time. Very happy and will recommend this brand/ model!

First I'll start with the positive. The picture is bright and beautiful there's very little blurring and it was easy to connect to my cable box and my internet. The instructions are very intuitive and easy to follow.
On the downside the menus are big confusing and the remote control is a bit clunky. it really takes some practice to get used to using the cursor so I don't use it very often instead of use the directional arrows. I do like that it connects very easily to the LG sound bar and it does work with my echo device so that's nice.
Overall the price I paid for the picture I get is worth it. They can work on the ergonomics a little bit though.

For an entry level 55inch Smart TV, the price is outstanding. Made it easy for us to upgrade from our older and smaller LG that we mounted into our home gym. The interactive and voice remote was the selling feature for us, with built in Alexa. Dedicated buttons for Netflix and Prime for easy access to the streaming services. It comes with hundreds of IP free channels from LG as well. Sound settings are impressive and native speakers handle music and movies well.

This is at least the third smart TV we have purchased over the years. LG has taken smart to a whole new level with its Magic Remote. Voice-activated integration with Alexa and Google Assistant just keeps raising the bar beyond the rafters! For you Apple fans, it can be used as an AirPlay device, too. This thing has so many features, I haven't had time to explore them all yet. Reasonable price considering the features - and a solidly good picture to boot!

Hate the magic remote! Wife hates the magic remote!
From a distance the magic remote pointer gets a little bit hard to control even after changing the setting to slow. It also sometimes goes crazy and disappears for a second and then reappears somewhere else (maybe there's a way to align it or something?).
Remote will not control my soundbar unless I use BT or HDMI ARC from the TV. BT drops connection with soundbar often or gets out of sync with what's on the screen.
The remote finally got connected to my set top box for cable, but I've lost a lot of functionality such as skip forward/backward, fast forward/reverse, etc. I can get to the guide and the DVR, and pause still works.
If you want a good picture make sure you start out with a nice dark room, or spend a little bit more money for the OLED.
----
The picture is great in a dark room. Along with the soundbar/subwoofer I get a pretty good cinematic experience.
Once you get used to the menus there are lots of things you can connect or change which I think is pretty cool. It's also great that someone besides my son is making use of the 4K Netflix subscription... Definitely try it... you'll like it.
----
The price was great. I'd been waiting for awhile to buy this model based on online reviews, etc., hoping the price would drop significantly before the Supe... I mean... the big game.
There are lots of people talking about the limitations of the apps that are available through this OS. Everything for which I've looked has been there.
All-in-all I'm happy with my purchase, and I would buy the TV again. I just wish someone had pointed out that the cheap-ish LG soundbar (SL4Y) I purchased with it wouldn't work with the remote except through BT. Buy the SL5Y or another that has HDMI ARC since the BT kind of stinks.

This is the 3rd LG television I have purchased. The picture is amazing and the smart features are very easy to use. If you have internet connection you can receive channels, you do not have to pay for cable or satellite, LG offers channels built in to the tv. This tv includes the magic remote which is as easy to use as a computer mouse. Buy this one, You will not be disappointed.

Bought this TV around Thanksgiving, set up was super easy. Picture quality is great especially for the price. But it wasn’t until we got a new ps4 for our kids for Christmas that I realized how awesome the remote control was. As soon as I plugged in the ps4 hdmi cable the TV notified me on screen as such and that the remote control was ready. No programming needed! Amazing technology!

I purchased this TV for a game room to replace a 43" tv. This TV has great picture quality for both games, movies and TV. The new remote is really nice and very easy to use. Probably one of the best remotes that I have ever used for a TV. Overall, this is a great TV for a really good price. I will most likely be purchasing a couple more of these once my basement is finished.
